Whatever you do, DONOTSTAYATTHISHOTELASYOURPAYMENTINFORMATIONISNOTSECURE!!! Because of the unimaginably poor service that my family and I received at this hotel, I should not in good conscience even give this hotel 1 star. I stayed at this hotel a year ago and had no issues, however, at 1am this morning, me, my husband, my elderly mother and my children left the hotel because of the substandard service. As an attorney I travel extensively and have never been treated with such indifference and disrespect at a Hampton Inn or any other hotel. After Du Ninh, the front desk agent finally contacted his manager(after initially misleading us into believing that he was the manager), he refused to seek assistance from the help desk for the computer issues that he experienced. Robin Lowery, the Assistant GM was finally contacted and failed to provide an amicable resolution. The Assistant GM said that our only option was to allow Du to make a copy of our form of payment. I’m not exactly certain as to why the Assistant GM would consider this to be a reasonable option as it is not my practice to leave my credit card information with people that I do not know. This practice is not wise for anyone. Please be advised that there may be unscrupulous business practices and possible fraudulent activity at this Hampton Inn. Please be safe.

Excellent hostel, very clean, spacious, located in a good area, excellent customer service, continental breakfast is also good. I recommend staying here, and if I traveled back to New Orleans I would stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel a couple nights ago and it was great. We usually stay with Hampton Inn so that was of no surprise. Kevin at the front desk was perky, extremely helpful and attentive to making sure we were comfortable. I can say the same about Vera who attended to us during breakfast, which I actually enjoyed because of the build-your-own-waffle station and fruit! The room and bathroom were nice, new and clean, like I like it!

This is probably my 3rd time booking in the Hampton inn and I love this place. Best part was that I walked upstairs to my room with my fiancé and found a birthday card. What a great way to happy birthday to a customer. Made my day. The front desk clerk was the absolute sweetest person ever. She was the one sending the card for me. Her name was Jenaé. If you needed anything or have any questions, just ask for Jenaé. Definitely recommend because the location is perfect and everything is around you. The place is well organized, breakfast is very good(gotta love those potatoes), and the room sizes are perfect cuz I tried all of them. Lastly. The customer service is fantastic.

This is a perfectly nice Hampton Inn. On the spectrum of Hampton Inns, it’s a bit newer and so you can expect newer fixtures. It has a bit more space than some other Hampton Inns, there’s no dank odor that some of them acquire over time, and the parking lot has adequate spaces, although in my judgement there may not be enough parking for all guests on nights when they are at capacity. Being on the West Bank, this location is close enough to the fun stuff across the Mississippi River but doesn’t have the added cost of making guests pay additional for parking, which is a huge advantage in my book. Rates are also cheaper than the Hilton family hotels in New Orleans, which may be walking distance to attractions but require you to pay extra to park your car. You can probably find cheaper rates for Hilton hotels near the airport, but those are further away than this West Bank location from the city center, and you will likely encounter that dank(AC?) odor that I’ve mentioned previously. There are some annoying things about this hotel however. Specifically: 1. The location of the sink spout is too far back from the sink basin, so that when you have the water running, you inevitably have to hit your hands at the back of the sink basin when washing them. 2. The shower head is abnormally high. A person of average to below average height(5’7″ or under I guess) will have trouble adjusting the angle and mode of the shower head. 3. Most annoyingly, the toilet paper holder uses a hinge rather than a retractable connector. What this means is that if you use too much(slight, really) pressure to reach for the toilet paper, you will inadvertently push the roll away from you. This may be convenient to swap out new rolls, but as a practical matter, it’s an extremely frustrating way to dispense toilet paper. Still, for the cost, the spaciousness, rate, and the overall comfort level, I would still recommend this location over other hotels in the area. That is, if you have a car to get around.
