Great Italian. Fun décor too. Baked Penne Pasta was delicious. Salad was a little small and sparse but the pasta made up for it. Wife had the pesto spaghetti with meatballs. It was great too !

Carlos is small with good food but there are def some things I think they could improve. For example we called about ordering a Stromboli we asked if instead of the«traditional meat» that comes in a standard Stromboli we asked if we could do veggies instead. They told us that wasn’t possible because they buy them pre-made with the meat already inside(basically they just bake them when ordered) So that’s a bit disappointing, but they make up for it in other areas. The house salad dressing is really good and the portions are hefty. And there pizza is one of my favorites around. Carlos is much better then any chain Italian restaurant hands down by a long shot but I wish they would make some changes because if they did they’d def be able to compete with places like luigis

We had a last minute mini family reunion at Carlo’s Sunday and it was awesome! Excellent customer service! Friendly atmosphere! Spacious meeting space with a cool mural on the banquet roon wall. We had 35 people and everyone loved this restaurant! Thanks Carlo’s for a great time. I had the manicotti and it was delicious! We will be back!

Ugh. We ordered a Stromboli for carryout and the experience started with speaking to an abrupt and rude person on the phone. Got it home(not even 5 minutes away), and the accompanying sauce, served in a styrofoam cup with a lid taped on, was barely lukewarm, and tasted slightly burned– kind of like when sauce scalds on the bottom of the pan but you just use the rest anyway. The Stromboli was also barely warm, which was not surprising considering the dough on the inside was RAW. As in the dough stretched, not the cheese. Very disappointed.

I wish I could give a great review, but I’m just not impressed. I’ve had their pizza and pasta dishes, the pizza is mediocre, and the pasta is something I can easily make at home with the same results. Definitely not homemade pasta, probably just homemade sauce, which I didn’t think had much flavor. The garlic bread was something that I did enjoy, though. The bread tasted fresh & homemade. I just wish that it was included in the pasta lunch/daily specials. Our lunch came to $ 17 for 2 of the daily specials(pasta) and a side order of garlic bread.

This is a great little Italian restaurant in Hartville. It is nothing fancy as far as décor so you can pop in at anytime of the day. I love their sauce, it makes any pasta dish worthwhile. The gems are the lunch specials which are delicious and inexpensive. Will go back again!

I don’t know if I am spoiled from growing up in New England or just that picky however the food tonight was horrible. My wife’s eggplant parmesan was soggy hell our ap of mozzarella sticks was even soggy not to mention for a family of four they gave us a wopping four mozzarella sticks. I had gnocchi with a marinara sauce and 2 meatballs. The gnocchi looked exactly the same as the gnocchi I buy prepackaged at Giant Eagle. The sauce was ok but nothing I would dream of having again like I do for San Marino’s in CT. One of my boys got the ham and cheese calzone which he said the ham tasted like deli sliced ham and he was really off put by inch and a half of ricotta inside. Oh did I mention that the 2 meatballs I received tasted frozen and they where very small. My other son got a cheese pizza which I have to say wasn’t that bad. After I read the reviews, before I took my family, I thought we might get ok service and some decent Italian food here in Ohio but nope still on the search.

Loved the Stromboli when I was there for the first time. Went back with a friend and was disappointed. We both ordered the rigatoni dinner special. The house salad dressing was average. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was good. My huge«beef» was with the meatballs. There were 2 barely warm golf ball sized balls just sitting on top of the pasta. They had not been cooked in the sauce nor had any sauce put on them. Just 2 sad grey«meatballs». I use quotations because they were obviously store bought frozen balls of pieces and parts. Odd taste and texture. Why would you even bother doing this if you are tying to be an authentic Italian restaurant? Very disappointing.

I have eaten here quite a few times over the years and have grown to love their«Big F» white pizza, although not sure why it is named the way it is. It has a nice laid-back, family-owned atmosphere. Their prices aren’t amazing, but they certainly don’t empty the wallet. I love Italian food and their stromboli is the best I have had anywhere, hands down. Another review talked about poor service, which I can also attest to. More than once there has been a significant wait for our food with what seems to be a mostly empty restaurant. However, the food is good enough to warrant stopping in every few months. A nice, original, family-owned Italian restaurant.

I like this place. I wouldn’t say that the food is spectacular, but it is good. The booths are a little uncomfortable because they are a bit small. For an Italian restaurant, the prices are pretty good, but again not spectacular. For some reason, I still really like this place. The atmosphere there just seems to be warm and welcoming. On the outside, the restaurant looks like a house and maybe that’s why on the inside, it feels like you’re in someone’s home. I ordered the Big F pizza. It’s a 9″ personal pan and it definitely filled me up. The difference between the Big F and a regular pizza is that they swap out the sauce with olive oil, oregano, and garlic. I realize now that I probably prefer my pizza with sauce but this was a tasty alternative. My wife ordered eggplant parmigiana and she really enjoyed it. We did have one complaint. My one friend ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The menu said it came with 2 meatballs so he assumed that they would be pretty big meatballs. When it came out, they were about the size of a golf ball which was a little disappointing. Then, he said they were still a little frozen on the inside. He didn’t want to complain to the waitress so we just let it go. He said that the spaghetti was really good though. Overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, but I definitely see some room for improvement. Around this town, there are no other options for Italian food so this literally is as good as it gets for Italian food in Hartville.

We’ve lived in Hartville for our whole lives and Carlos’ is a mainstay here. Love the atmosphere and the portions are huge! Get the Stromboli, you’ll love it. Could use a bit more in the house salads, but we’re big fans anyway!
