My family and I have eaten at Pas-Tina’s many times, and we continue to visit them when in the area. Monday thru Friday they offer lunch specials that comprise a good portion of their regular menu, as well as many good selections that are not part of the specials, but are prepared with the same high quality. They make an excellent chicken parmigiana that I try to make sure I have the appetite for; on rare occasions when that’s too big a meal, I will get their jumbo cheese ravioli with marinara sauce. My parents usually order the chicken marsala and flounder francese; these must e hood for them to order them on every visit. Most entrees include a side of either veggies or pasta, and a salad; pasta entrees don’t include a pasta side. The service is always polite and the orders always accurate and prepared correctly; the service can be slow even when they’re not busy, but the servers are prompt to respond when called. The prices are reasonable, which along with excellent food makes this a good choice for an Italian restaurant to visit with family or friends.

To me, Pas-Tina’s is that homey-Italian– good-to-your-tummy-food– It’s saucy, juicy, rich and tasty. ***Please do check the ‘Early Bird Lunch’ and ‘Early Bird Dinner’ in advance, as pricing, as well as timing– have both changed considerably– you still get a mixed salad with olives, and tea or coffee with the special, but heads up folks, no dessert included. Pas-Tina’s menu, is very extensive and you will surely not miss out on anything, but please note, you’ll have the option of choosing your entrée from the Pasta or Chicken sections and NOT the Fish column. No biggie, because even the pasta dish I selected, a Green Spinach Fettuccine dish, was hefty with seafood. The popularity of Pas-Tina’s, I believe, seems to be– not just in their solid Italian portions, but also, highly attentive service and a well-kept restaurant in the immediate White Plains area.

The food is really good here and the service is prompt. The owner was very pleasant and the overall value is excellent. I’d have no problem recommending this establishment to anyone.

I’ve had take out from here many times and the food is good. But each time I eat here in the restaurant, I am consistently disappointed by the experience. Recently had a large party dinner here for a birthday. Took even 15 minutes to get menus. The service was slow, inattentive and chaotic. We had to ask for new plates with each course. They brought out the birthday cake, but no plates and forks and when they did, there wasn’t enough for the whole party. Because we were a large party, the gratuity was included — which is not at all what was deserved.

It’s a nice sized place with very good service and food. I have been coming here for years and the place hasn’t disappointed yet. One dish that stands out is the spinach fettuccine with cream sauce, shrimps, scallops and artichokes. Prices are very reasonable and there is a special before 6PM. The only bad dishes are the chicken dishes. For some reason the chicken is always dry. One thing I look for in a restaurant is the service and Pas-Tina’s doesn’t disappoint there. The wait staff are professional and attentive.

This place has gone downhill. A long standing staple of the area, it used to have good food at reasonable prices. Last couple of orders the food has been, well, beyond bland which is shocking(and hard to do) considering all of the garlic, sauce, etc. that is on the pasta. The rigatoni with eggplant, fresh mozz and grilled chicken was on the verge of inedible. Chicken was clearly frozen and old(had chewy rubber taste) and the pasta was way overcooked(noodles couldn’t even stay on the fork without falling apart), sauce had zero flavor. The pesto tasted like milk, no hint of any pesto flavoring at all. Very disappointed with the direction they are heading. I really hope they can pull it together and get back to what they used to be.

I’m a big fan of this place. The food is always very fresh, and delicious! Service is always great as well. The only«negative» thing I could say was that the ambiance leaves a little to be desired.

We have been coming to Pas-Tina’s for over 15 years. The service and food are still great! On Sunday, March 13, 2016, we celebrated my mom’s 100th birthday with a family party in the main dining room. It was fantastic! The food was delicious, served piping hot and timely. The service was excellent and accommodations were made for special requests. A diabetic guest was even offered fruit in place of their outstanding dessert platter. All of our guests raved about the food, both quality and quantity and expressed their enjoyment with the overall experience. The owner, Tina, went out of her way to ensure our event was a complete success. And it was! Thank you Tina and the wait staff. What a wonderful memory!

The family and I came after church for an early dinner. I’ve been here many times in the past and the food was consistently good. Today, it was just ok. The waiter, while he was nice, messed up our order on multiple occasions in this one sitting. 1. Brought our little one the wrong dish after asking us twice. 2. Forgot the add on to my dish after informing me there would be an upcharge. 3. Brought my husband ½ of his order– chicken Alfredo was ordered he brought Alfredo only. Lastly, absolutely no comp to our meal despite the multiple errors and inconveniences. We may consider giving them one more chance because he was very apologetic but… We would have saved ourselves the extra distance for such a lackluster experience.

Veteran Central Avenue restaurant that offers pretty good, if standard, Italian fare at prices that are kept reasonable. The food is nothing life changing but it has always been a consistent and reliable neighborhood option.

This place is something else. I had dinner here recently, I arrived around 5:30 pm for the early bird special(which you can order from until 6 pm and it includes a salad and coffee or tea along with select entrees). The remainder of my party arrived at about 5:50(10 people total), we then asked for a table. We were seated at 6:02 and when the waiter came over to our table exactly 2 minutes later, we asked if we could still order from the early bird special but he shot us down immediately stating it was only until 6. Really? 4 minutes late and you can’t honor it? I found that to be so ridiculous being that we actually were there before 6. Our waiter was not personable or friendly at all, never came around for refills or anything. Lucky for him there was a mandatory 18% gratuity tacked on because we were a large party. So that meant he could act however the hell he wanted and still be compensated. I gave two stars because the food is actually very tasty. I had the bow ties with shrimp in a creamy vodka like sauce, I recommend this dish and it’s a good sized portion. Other meals such as the chicken parm that come with a side of pasta, the size of that side is extremely small. I can’t believe that because I used to come here all the time a few years ago and even had my baby shower here and the side was never that small. Pasta is extremely inexpensive so why try and skimp on it? and by small I mean you get a plate that is about the size of the bread plate flat and all, not in a small bowl. Another thing I noticed is that if you aren’t ordering alcoholic beverages that bring up the tab, you will also be treated like second rate customers. I doubt I’ll be back here anytime soon, they put such a bad taste in my mouth. Learn to treat all your customers with respect and courtesy!

EATALIAN! Pastinas is pretty good. It has 2 narrow dining areas that are covered with mirrors on the wall to give it an illusion that its much bigger than it is. SORRYPASTINA, YOUAINTFOOLINYABOY! Anyway, we started off with Coconut Shrimp, Mozzarella with Tomato, and Fried Calamari and they were all Delicioso! Is that Italian? I been to Italy once. I think thats how you say it. I asked the server if I should have Chicken Parm or something else. He told me to get the Spaghetti and Meatballs. I figured sure, its THECLASSIC after all. Wow I received a huge and very generous portion of Spaghetti with 2 Large Meatballs! It was pretty good but the sauce wasn’t super impressive. It was definitely homemade but I have had much better. I ended up having to add more parmesan cheese than usual. It was still enjoyable. While I am not the biggest dessert person, the dessert I had was RIDICULOUS! The most simple dessert«Christopher’s Favorite.» i took a bite and was like YOSTAHPIT. I dont know who Christopher is but this would be anyone’s favorite after. It is just a piping hot Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream on Top with Walnuts and sauces. Simple and I like it. The staff was polite and speedy. I don’t see where all the hate comes from but Pastinas is definitely a solid restaurant. It is a little pricey though.

So we nearly went elsewhere due to recent reviews here but our party had a thoroughly fine meal. Prices are very reasonable and portions generous. There’s some creativity to the menu and service good if not overly attentive. You can do far worse and pay more. Great for a weeknight out with friends. We will be back.

Wow is all I can say. I got penne vodka and it was loaded with onions. I ate my husbands potato croquet. That was my dinner, now I’m headed to actually get food I can stomach.

I’ve been hesitant on leaving a review of this place since I was last there August 25 of last year. But since I drive past here EVERY weekend I literally get furious because of my last experience here. I can’t begin to explain everything that went wrong. Here’s a tip: Get rid of the Early Bird special you run because the food is the same unacceptable(portion, quality, clueless wait staff) whether it’s 5:30 or 6:30 at night. EVERY time we have walked out of here in the past we’ve consistently asked ourselves, why the hell did we come here again???

To be fair to them, they had a very large party in the other room. That may be fair to them, but not to us. Years ago we were regulars and figured to give it another try for old times sake. That was a mistake. First the kitchen and bar were slammed. Both drinks and food were delivered after a very long wait. Our salads were delivered before the drinks and it were served drowning in dressing. After another wait, out came our mains. My Chicken Sorentino was was bland but edible. Sadly, my wife’s shrimp and pasta dish with vodka sauce was was not even bland, it tasted off, sour, unlike any vodka sauce either of us had ever eaten. We informed the waiter who made excuses, then spoke to his manager. He appeared with our check that we didn’t ask for and told us my wife’s dinner was removed from the check. BTW, the manager walked past us without acknowledgement. Now I remember why we stopped going there.
