Best calzones in NY. The whole wheat pizza is the best too ! The wait for food is a bit long, but totally worth it.

Very good Italian. My Dad goes here all the time, it’s like his second home. Great lunch heroes, Italian combo, chicken parm etc. I got a meatball parm yesterday, very fresh. Ask the owner to switch the TV channel to the Yankees, cause they’re usually watching Soccer.

If you want to pay more than you should then go to this local pizza place. You’ll get charged extra for marinara sauce to dip your calzone in — which I ordered to go. How can you eat a cheese calzone without a little sauce? It’s suppose to come with the calzone. The pizza is mediocre, too greasy and their charges are consistently more than listed on the menu when you order take out. No more Venetian for this family!

This place has spoiled me. I know that every time I eat here I’m going to have a great meal and when I order my same favorites at other restaurants I’m usually saying to myself, «Venetian’s is better.» My two absolute favorites are their Chicken Marsala and their Chicken Picata. The flavor of each of these entrees is unbelievable. The marsala sauce is thin, with a generous amount of mushrooms and a hearty portion of chicken. The Chicken Picata is a great sauce flavored well with capers and sweet peppers. Each is served with a salad or pasta that alone are a meal unto themselves. A good lunch selection is the Formaggi Salad, ordered with grilled chicken this is a great choice for a somewhat lighter meal. Venetian pizza is as a good as any you will find in lower Westchester county.

I’ve been here a few times and their pizza and rolls are good but their pricing is ridiculous so i’m gonna have to cross it off my list. I ordered a slice and a roll and had a can of soda, total came to $ 11. The roll was $ 4.50(not bad) Slice of cheese pizza($ 3.25!) and a can of soda($ 1.50!). They also charge an extra $ 1 for a tiny cup of marinara sauce for the roll(Shouldn’t this come with the roll?) Also they collect tax, I have never been to a takeout pizza slice joint that charged me tax. Like everyone has said previously, the waitress is a grump and can’t even offer up a thank you or a smile. So overall the food is good but not worth the extra price. Anywhere else in lower westchester a plain slice, a chicken roll and a can of soda would be $ 8 or $ 8.50 at the most.

I’ve been going to this place for years so feel well qualified to review. The pizza here is bland and below average for the area. I think the main issue is the sauce which is tasteless. Same with most of the entrees, La mandas and francescos are much better options. Also have had the tiramisu several times and it tastes like its been sitting for a while. However, this place gets 3 stars because their one saving dish– the salad with grilled chicken. The dish seems simple enough but so many places screw it up by giving too little chicken, non fresh greens, bad dressing, etc. Not here. They give you big hunks of perfectly cooked chicken and the dressing is the perfect balance of oil and vinegar. Greens are fresh and have a crisp bite to them. The salad is expensive but worth it. Its nice to have a healthy option that is very high quality. Also, when dining in here the service has been really slow. They were understaffed every time I ate there. I would only get take out from here.

Love this place. Not great ambience or décor. Like any other local joints. Food is always fresh and tastes great. We usually go there for minestrone soup. May be on the average once a week.

I have been coming here since I was a kid so I have a soft spot for this place. The regular slice is one of the best in the county. Their pizza as a whole is pretty solid. I came here last night for the first time for sit down food with my wife, my brother, and my niece. The service was friendly and the portions were very generous. The taste was okay, but the pricing is not good. At the end 3 entrees(linguine with white clam sauce, eggplant parmesan, calamari fra diavolo, and 1 kids chicken fingers ended up costing us about $ 80). Perhaps I am being stingy but there was nothing about the entrees that warranted the costs they put to them. The cost should equate to greater quality(for example whole clams in the linguine dish) as to just larger portions of pasta. In short, this is a local spot and I do still appreciate it, however I think I’ll just stick with pizza going forward.

The food is wonderful, the staff are characters, and if you don’t love a local joint like this then you may be living in the wrong state.

Huge slices, great pizza. We stopped in for two slices — one pepperoni & one white. Customer service is horrendous. Counter guys are not helpful, limited english. Phyllis(?) the heavyset waitress literally walked into us without saying excuse me. Biggest hips, two people in the way within a narrow space. Not possible. She doubles as the cashier and though she said thank you, she was reluctant and non-welcoming to say the least. $ 4.50 per slice is no issue for this neighborhood but I’ll keep my cash and business for an establishment that clearly values their customers.

Worst customer service ever! I ordered take out on 9÷30÷2014 and when handed over the bill, the waitress just handed it over to me with not even a hello(she wasn’t our original waitress) I gave her my credit card and was told to sign. I signed it and she turned around and left. I could not believe it. Not even a thank you either. I should have just walked out, got my money back and left the food there — that I do regret, but I was so hungry. The ironic thing is is that the manager was standing next to the waitress when this unfolded and she just smiled and walked away. Never again will I go here, no matter how good the food is. It’s too bad though– they would have more customers if the customer service was better!

Pizza is still good, pasta portion good size, very pricey though. Worst I mean«WORST«customer service there is. Woman who takes the orders is soo miserable, its like you are bothering her by placing an order over the phone. In person is even worse, Ive been treated better at a mugging. Other than brutal old crumps working there food is good,

The portions are generous but horrible customer service. The lady that answers the phone is not pleasant at all! She does not even say thank you after your order.

I’m being a little generous with stars this morning, I think. Truly, we’ve had hit and miss pizza here, but the other day it was a hit and I was able to remember all the other hits from one bite. If you’re in the neighbourhood, it’s worth a stop, but I couldn’t call it a destination spot. I can’t speak to anything other than a slice… but every time I’m in there I consider gorging myself since there’s always people eating entrees and they always look homemade and comforting.
