Typical auto mechanic dishonesty. It takes no more than 1 hour or ~$ 90 to replace a rear ABS speed sensor on a 2001 BMW X5 and Joe’s mechanic agreed with that assessment two weeks prior. However when I arrived with my own used part the labor costs suddenly jumped to $ 170. I balked and Joe reduced it to $ 140 cash out the door. It’s shameful that they seek to scalp unsuspecting customers on both the labor and part costs. Lesson? A truly honest auto repair facility is hard to find.

How often does the mechanic call you to let you know what is wrong with your vehicle. I received call before 9:00 am letting know what was needed to be done, how much and ETA. I had my car back by 1:00 PM. Joe was nice enough to explain what had happened. This was a referral from AAA drivers, the car was dropped off last night, working with the repair shop on were to store car. Very pleased with the professional service I received.

It’s 3 years since my first posting about Paul’s Depot Garage and I still think they’re as good as it gets! Joe and his mechanics are top notch and Joe is exceedingly knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy and reasonable with prices. I’m still recommending him. .. and everyone that has been there is very pleased. This place is a real find!

I was referred by a AAA driver some time last year when my fuel pump broke out of no where. I called Joe explained to him what happened and that I was referred to him. He was quick efficient and affordable, I told him after that this I would always come back. He’s very genuine, the staff is great! This place is truly a gold mine!

I don’t live in the Hartford area but daughter is a student of University of Hartford. I called Joe on Friday that she was having trouble with her car. We dropped the car off over the weekend and it is all set by Monday afternoon. Joe is the best. Honest and reasonably priced. Very pleased!
