This place is great! A tip — come for dinner or lunch separate from the buffet, the food is much better. We had dinner here during our vacation and it was delicious, the food was the perfect mix of spice and flavor(and I like spicy food!), so we came back the next day for the buffet and it was only alright. Service was great both times though, and the naan was yum!

Love the food and the service at this place! My boyfriend and I were in town visiting family. We were looking for a place with vegan options to pick up dinner and stumbled upon Taste of India. We walked up to the counter to place a to go order. The menu had tons of vegan options! We ordered our food and 2 beers to drink while we waited. As we sat and drank our beer, the staff brought us a complimentary appetizer and an array of delicious chutneys. We were so impressed with the service they provided us that we left them an extra tip! We took our food home and were not disappointed. The Aloo Chole was soooo flavorful and the Samaria were delicious! This place also gives you FREE basmati rice which is extremely uncommon for Indian restaurants. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Harrisonburg!

The buffet was okay, but lacked any spice or flavor. I suppose they have to meet the desires of most of the people in the area who may not like very spicy food. Most of the dishes that stand out were heavy on the creams. I had a stomach ache for several hours after eating here, so not so sure I’ll be back again.

We were just in town for one evening. What luck that we found this restaurant! We had the kabobs variety platter. More than enough for two hungry people. We couldn’t finish it all. The waiter was helpful, the good delicious and the experience memorable.

This is our go-to place for delicious Indian food. The owner knows us when we walk in and greets us warmly. The service is very quick. The food is fresh made. They grind their own spices. The real jewel is the lunch buffet. Every other Indian restaurant we have tried never quite measures up. You cannot go wrong with any dish you choose.

Love this place!!! The food is delicious! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. My favorite is the chicken tikka masala. Amazing! This warm and welcoming dish nestled on a bed of fluffy basmati rice, hanging out with a piece of delicious garlic naan bread makes my tummy so happy!!! Overall a good experience here!

I enjoy the lunch buffet. Normally hesitant to eat from most buffets, but this place has fresh food in constant rotation. The price of $ 10.95 also sits well with me. The service is attentive and always pleasant. I also suggest the chicken tikka masala. Although pretty standard at most Indian Restaurants, they execute the flavors very well.

The food here is wonderful. I got the house biryani and it was VERY good. The place is very nice and clean and has a good atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and very attentive. They were good about switching out an order that my friend didn’t like. This place is definitely worth it.

Great food but the service needs a revamp. My wife and one-year-old and I ate there on a Saturday night. There was a reasonable wait for a table(10 minutes?) but once seated it took 15 minutes to bring menus. We ordered directly then having found the menus online while waiting. We ordered two entrees, one appetizer(samosas), a naan, and because they said it would take 45 minutes for lentil soup since they needed to make more, we ordered a bowl of that to go. About 20 minutes elapsed before our appetizer came – with only one set of silverware – and at least another 45 minutes, maybe an hour, before our entrees arrived at the same time as the takeout soup. We had to ask for another set of silverware. Consolation: the food was great. But we’re not planning to return during busy periods unless I have a lot of time to kill.

Really good! I have eaten here twice, once for dinner and once for the lunch buffet. The food is amazing! I would recommend the buffet because it is amazingly priced! So good!

By far my favorite restaurant in Harrisonburg! Whenever I meet someone who’s never tried Indian food I take them here. They serve traditional Punjabi cuisine here at your preferred level of spice(mild to Indian hot). During launch they offer a buffet that is outstanding and really cheap for what all you get. They have a decent selection of imported beers that I really love including Haywards 5000 and Maharaja. This is a family owned restaurant who are passionate about what they do and it really shows in the food and the service. Try the chicken tikka masala, vegetable saag, or the samosas if you aren’t sure… you won’t regret it

Good location, friendly service, clean place and food is good. I wouldn’t go as far as to call ot indian food though. Tastes more like british indian food to American taste, but good and done right. Would i go here again«yes». I would recommend this place to my friends but not my mom… She’s a little picky when it come to indian food has to authentic.

If your reading this post that’s means you’re in the market for a really good Indian food spot. well, look no further. While vacationing at massanutten I came acrss this spot on Unilocal, and let me be the first to say… wow! I’m no expert on authenticity, but I can tell you that everything i ordered was on point. This was one of the best indian restaurants i’ve been to, and maybe the last thing I expected in the area. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

I have heard great things about their buffet, but I generally order take out food from here. The food is always good, fresh and authentic. The prices are on the slightly higher side for the portion sizes, but your taste buds will never be disappointed so it is worth the splurge. Quaint and comfortable atmosphere and very friendly staff — you can never go wrong with tandoori anything or some naan bread to take home!

Alright. I think one reason why this place has gotten such high reviews is because it caters to a population which may find any grocery store curry paste chicken item with the name«IndiA» on it exotic. This is nothing more than cheap microwaved Indian food found at your local grocery store. My parents are from South east Asia and i know a thing or two about Indian food. I ordered a thaali which is a platter with different items. The curry was separating from the sauce leaving behind residual water. Yuck! The tandoori chicken was more dried than week old thanksgiving turkey with no flavor. The rice pudding was well? It was probably store bought with a few of these own sprinkles and voila. Sorry but it was not good. While the presentation is Indian, the food was bland, not fresh and down right inauthentic Indian. Watch a few youtube vids, youll probably make better Indian food.

I was driving from NJ to GA and on my way I found this place on Unilocal.Very good decision to stop here for authentic indian food. Great customer service. Good ambience. Nice soft music in background. Very very welcoming, polite and humble staff. Food taste good. Naan were soft and fresh. I ordered Paneer Kadai and it tasted really good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Stopped in for the lunch Buffett on my way through to PA and was pleasantly surprised with both the quality of food and how clean this place was. This really is a great Indian Restaurant and if I’m ever coming through this neck of the woods again, I’ll make a point of coming back here!
