There isn’t much to be said for British food, fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, bangers & mash — Cuisine in Britain is pretty much lacking less the Indian and Arabic takeaways. But there are two things I find myself craving quite often. The first — Walkers Prawn Crisps are available in Washington, DC at British Goodies in Arlington( ). Now, what to do about my need for a Hummus Wrap from Boots? Enter Ben’s Bagel Bakery. My mom and I were shopping next door at Hancock Fabrics when I said I was hungry and needed a sandwich. She suggested we try the place next door. Brilliant idea MUM! Their hummus wrap on tomato is 98% as good as the one at my beloved Boots. My mom had the chicken salad — which was also fantastic(of course not as amazing as mine!). The service was quick and efficient, and after we were done eating we were asked how we liked everything. I quickly responded that they had a new regular customer. Ben’s is only open for breakfast and lunch at the moment, but he told us that soon(in about a month) they would be expanding to dinner hours as well. Hummus wraps all day every day. My taste buds thank you!
