Oh how I miss this place.
I grew up on their sandwiches and bagels and they make the best food I have ever had.
I would get home from school, gather up enough change I would find around the house and get either a turkey sandwich or a bagel with cream cheese. This was my daily ritual.
There’s gotta be a reason a tiny store like this in a tiny town has lasted so long. Probably because literally the entire town goes here. Everytime I go home to visit I make sure to pick up a few bagels to bring back with me.

I’ve been going to The Store ever since 5th grade when I moved to Harrington Park. It’s in the center of town, Jerry, the owner knows every kid by face, and even keeps tabs open for repeat customers (virtually the entire town).
The deli fare is simply delicious. They are known for the «Store Special» which is not your wimpy Italian Hero, it’s huge, and stuffed with fresh meats and shredded veggies. Also a big favorite here are the Potato Knishes and other meat sandwiches (pastrami, corned beef, chicken parm, etc.). They sell alcohol if you need to pick up a case of something or a bottle to finish dinner with, but regardless of the meal, it’s always worth stopping into The Store for a bite.
