I’m a burger person. So I tried the«junk burger» minus the mushrooms. It was amazing, hot and fresh to order. It kept me full on my flight back home to Arizona. I would definitely go back to this place!..

The place is nicely decorated inside… Our server was nice and claims that everything there was really good… So my husband and I decided to try the catfish nuggets appetizer. It was really salty, but fries were good though… It took very long to get our main course, and very disappointed when I finally tasted my food. I ordered the lunch special, BBQ meat special, which consists of brisket, sausage, rib, and beans. The meat was actually covered with BBQ sauce which didn’t taste grilled or smoked at all. the beans was horrible. my husband ordered a hamburger and it was also salty… He informed the server about the salty catfish nuggets and the drenched BBQ meat which was very not very good at all. The server claimed that the cook did not put any salt. We should have let her taste the fish, lol… Anyways, on top of that, you have to pay a dollar every refill on your unsweetened tea… Never heard of that before!!! I just had to drink very slow, and make it last!!! We were glad we didn’t have to pay for the water, lol… Try for yourself and be the judge, but we are not coming back…

Cannot stress enough how un-BBQ their BBQ is. We ordered the Catfish plate and BBQ dinner. Catfish says on menu«with tarter sauce» guess what? No tarter sauce. Baked potato«loaded» guess what? No sour cream. BBQ brisket was drowned in sauce and tasted boiled. We asked our waiter to return it and ordered a BBQ hamburger. A few moments later the manager came out and asked what was wrong with the BBQ. She obviously doesn’t take constructive criticism well. She canceled our hamburger order and never told us. We sat in the restaurant waiting on an order that never came. Finally I asked our waiter and she told us the manager canceled the order. Worst place ever.

We ordered 3 entrees: Shrimp Alfredo, Fried Shrimp, Red Snapper… appetizer was Seafood Fondeaux. Fondeaux was good, entrees were just OK. Waiter was very kind, but uneducated of the menu. We were yelled at to leave our original seating due to reserved party. Mgr dictated that could go to the patio.,.

In my almost fifty years of living, this has to be in my top two worst dining experiences ever. I ordered an appetizer and drink. It took me an hour and half to receive my order and when it came, was incomplete. The manager/owner asked how everything was but offered no apologies when she was told. Maybe this was just a bad day for them….

I really wanted to like this place. My wife’s co-worker strongly recommended it based on fantastic food. We ordered Alligator nuggets, and they came out fast, hot and fairly tasty. My lunch was the Southern BBQ Plate featuring brisket, ribs, sausage, cole slaw and beans. Beans were decent as was the slaw. The brisket was tough and disgusting. The sausage was strange tasting, and the ribs were tough and unevenly cooked. There was no bark on any of it, and it was slathered in grocery store bbq sauce. My wife had the catfish. It was clearly pre-breaded, frozen fish. The hush puppies were pretty good though. The staff was friendly and courteous. Our waitress informed us she didn’t put much ice in our tea because we would have to pay for refills(weird). She is pretty much the reason I wanted to give this place two stars, but I just can’t when BBQ is in the restaurant name and there’s not a smoker on site.

Worst BBQ I’ve had and to add insult to injury the red beans were horrible! ! Not even remotely close to what red beans should be. I completely understand why this place is empty. One star is a compliment!

Sign says 12:30am… [Midnight] to 10pm? These are some odd hours for a weekend to work wouldn’t you agree? Sign may need to be reviewed.

I’m from out of town and decided to try this place. To bad we didn’t think to check reviews first! I’ll get to the point, the restaurant was dead! Only two of us and another table with grandmas were there. The food was NOT good! Meat tasted bad and like it was from the freezer! Sweet tea tasted like it had artificial sweetener in it. I don’t recommend going there.

Went to this place today not really wanting to since it never seem to have any customers when driving pass. But like to give new business a chance. Wrong move to make, When you see a business doesn’t seem to have many customers-Don’t GOTHERE ! Something is wrong. Had the bar be q plate and partner had bar b q chicken. both were covered thickly in sauce, everything ! Tasted the brisket and told my partner something is wrong with this meat, I’m not going to eat it, even all the sauce couldn’t cover up the taste as if its old or has been freezer burned, went onto the ribs, again same taste, tasted the baked beans, they were good, Cole slaw was not the best I had ever had in a rest. Long John Silvers even has better and its a chain rest. The green beans and Cajun rice that came with bar b q chicken, one had no taste 1 was overly seasoned too much so. The waitress was very nice and gave good service, But I will never go to this rest. again, and will advice anyone else not to do so, I had to leave a whole plate of food except the beans, my eating partner had to leave the rice and most of the green beans. It was either that or be worried that you may have to go to the ER later for stomach problems. I’ve read the other two comments and the people are telling the truth.

This place is really bad. I got the catfish and shrimp basket. The catfish was undercooked, the shrimp wasn’t fresh at all. They were frozen. The lady that was the server was really nice. She was the only person that I saw in the place. I’m assuming she was the cook also. Don’t waste your time on this place unless they make some drastic changes.

It almost pains me to type this review, but I have to preface this by stating it was the worst food I ever ate. If I could give it less than 1-star, I definitely would. Here’s why… This place was recommended by my mother. In her defense, she ate here a long time ago and said the food was good. Ok, we’ll give it a try. To note, this location is hard to find because it’s adjacent to a mobile phone business and can be easily overlooked. When we pulled up around 7:30pm, the restaurant was closed. According to the hours on the door, it stated that it closes at 9pm on a Tuesday(that should’ve been a red flag at that point). We were just about to drive away, until this lady walks over to our car saying that they’ll open the restaurant if we wanted to eat. I felt bad because she was really nice and it appeared they were desperate for customers. So, against my better judgement, we followed her in. We were greeted by the cook/owner(?) saying that they were under new management and just opened up in February. She tried to assure us that her restaurant is normally packed, but they were just having a slow day and decided to close early. She tried to rationalize even further by stating that she normally throws classy suit-and-tie functions, and closes out the restaurant for private events. The whole time I was thinking, «who are you trying to impress?» That discussion just struck me as rather odd. The dining area itself appeared rather small, but nicely decorated, and there was jazz music playing for ambiance. I was just starting to think that we perhaps misjudged this place. That is, until the food arrived. Appetizer — Texas Pick 3: I chose cheese sticks, buffalo wings, and catfish nuggets. The presentation was nice, but that was about it. Bit into the buffalo wings and they were semi-cold. Catfish nuggets were just meh. I couldn’t really tell if there were any catfish inside because there was more breading than anything. The cheese sticks were lukewarm and just okay. Entrée — Southern Style BBQ Plate: spare ribs, brisket, baked beans, and cole slaw. I also ordered an extra side of red beans and rice. Took a nibble of the spare ribs and it was semi-cold and tasted weird. Pretty gross actually. Moved on to the brisket, and immediately spit it out into my napkin. It was funky and tasted like old meat. The thick, pasty BBQ sauce slathered on top of everything didn’t help either because it tasted horrible too. What a waste of money! This so-called horribad BBQ is an abomination in Texas and shouldn’t even be served. I didn’t even want to attempt to eat the rest of my meal for fear of being sick. No wonder nobody comes here to eat. Not much luck for my partner either. He couldn’t even eat more than a few bites of his crab legs because the meat was basically mush and tasted, in his own words, «like crap.» When he complained to our waitress, the cook immediately came to our table and had an attitude. She presented a crab leg and proceeded to break the shell open in front of us, pressing down on the crab meat between her fingers to show that it wasn’t mushy. After that ordeal, I didn’t even want to tell her how I felt about my meal. She even questioned why I didn’t even eat it all… *awkward* The only positive highlight, was that our waitress was very attentive, polite and courteous. Other than that, just keep it movin’ and drive by when you think about eating here… Nothing to see nor eat.

I arrived with two friends to this location approx. 7:30pm on a Tuesday, didn’t look like much. We were greeted by a dark restaurant and a lonely cashiers/waitress. We were trying to take a peek at the business hours posted on the door when she came outside. She told us to hold on to see if this business owner wanted to open for us. That should have been a red flag… so we decided to go inside after the cashier/waitress came back outside a few seconds later smiling and said«Yes, we’re open!» Now for the actual experience: I ordered Snow Crab with 2 sides. The meal came out quickly. I literally took 2 – 3 bites before pushing the meal aside. The waitress came by shortly afterwards asking if everything was okay. I informed her that the crab was not very good, the meat was mushy. She then took it back to the kitchen and the Business Owner/Manager a.k.a The Cook came out after I complained about the food. She had the nerve to start debating with me about the food being«Fresh». I found that humorous since I didn’t mention anything about it being«Fresh», I simply complained cause it tasted like cat food and didn’t look much better. She brought a piece of crab out and cracked the shell open in front of me to show that it was fresh. She started mashing the meat between her fingers to display the firmness. I quickly told her, I’d pay for the meal just to get her away from the table and immediately thought to myself«I’d never come back again.» I also ordered a screwdriver(vodka/orange juice) which I never received. My friends that accompanied me said that it was a waste of money, they both only took a couple bites out of their meals before pushing their plates aside as well. My order and thoughts: I ordered 2lbs. of snow crab which was absolutely the worst crab I have ever tasted, the sides I received with the meal were green beans and coleslaw which I didn’t dare try. The shells of the crab legs were not crisp like you would expect from snow crab; the meat was spongy and disintegrated in your fingers. I tried to be as nice as possible about the complaint but quickly noticed that I had just pushed the start button on the whoop-ass machine. The waitress was fantastic, A+ to her!
