Greenleaf Nursery has left the bldg with Elvis & Michael Jackson… Out of Business! Yikes! I’ll have to go to Walmart or Home deport for my plant supplies.

Purchased a couple of trees from them — they both died — Luckily they are going out of business.

My wife and I had bought some plants from Home Depot and Walmart in Killeen. But when we had a problem with a tree in our backyard we went to Green Leaf to ask some questions. They referred us to a Lawn Care gentleman who was outstanding help, didn’t even charge for the trip out to our house. Since then we’ve been buying all our lawn care/garden plants and supplies from here. Its nice to get a cheap price, but I’d prefer to pay the extra dollar or so and deal with people who really know what they’re talking about. Simply outstanding customer service always looking to help as you browse through their plants and other gardening products.

The good — large selection of plants that grow well in the local area. You can ask advice and get tips on what works in the Killeen area and what doesn’t. Example — there are at least three varieties of lavender at most of the chains around here. Problem is 2 of the three require lots of care and tending, and one is an almost plant it and forget it type plant. I needed the plant it and forget it type to put around the fruit trees to keep the deer away.(did you know lavender repels deer?) Along with the proper selection of lavender I picked up a variety of herbs, and organic soil supplies to go in the veggie planters. Organic ant control to keep those pesky critters away from my dog, and 1 more rose bush for a little color in the yard. Yeah you pay a little less at some chains, and get a clerk that rings you up no matter what is in the cart, but if even a fraction of what you bought doesn’t grow — you would have been better off paying a bit more for those tips from the people at Green Leaf that makes gardening so — so much easier. Apple, peach, and plum trees are blooming. Tomatoes and herbs looking good, and the squash, eggplant and cucumbers are thriving. Thanks Green Leaf
