Love coming here. Whenever I forget food and running late to work I can always count on this place for good food. The service is pretty good and options are not bad. It would be nice if they had more options on the menu but the place is so nice and the food is very good

Marketplace Café in Clackamas Town Center represents the finer end of a negative stereotype, the stereotype being mall cuisine. The food is fairly good and can be a decent diversion from a day of shopping, especially at the Nordstorms for which it is located inside of. You get your food by walking up and ordering from a menu of mostly salads, sandwiches and beverages before someone serves you everything at a table. At the front they have pastries where you order from a register and then you walk over to where there is a bunch of booths as if at a usual restaurant. I walked in and ordered their chicken pesto sandwich. Although they took twenty minutes to get it to me, they time and time again refilled my beverage. The sandwich was good, and the pesto fit well with the okay chicken. What was nice is how the ingredients coherently went with each other. The price was about $ 14 total, even with the slow service, and so they are not going to get a gold medal for making sandwiches, a common food item. My sandwich was served with chips. If you are shopping at Nordstorms, the Marketplace Café might be for you.

This is one of my favorite places to come for lunch! I always get a cup of the Tomato Basil soup– so delicious, I’ve never bad a better cup anywhere else. For my main meal I LOVE the Chicken Apple and Goat Cheese salad. It’s my all time favorite salad; it’s fresh, filling, and just a classic favorite. Definitely recommend. I love Nordstrom, my family and I are regular shoppers there. The Café is so convenient and so worth it. The staff is always friendly and quick. The only downside is that it’s a little noisy, but it’s not too bad.

My favorite place for a good tasting tomato basil soup. Awesome service. Always so kind to me. And the pastries are absolutely to die for. Great tuna salad sandwich. Angel hair pasta is AMAZING and all the salads taste so fresh and insanely good.

Now I wouldn’t call myself a mall rat, but I am one of those crazy people that go to the mall the day after Thanksgiving every year. It has become a family tradition to go shopping with my mom while the boys just shake their heads. In fact, my husband participates in «buy nothing day» so I can shop for myself and the rest of the fam, but can’t buy him any Christmas gifts that day. Works for me! Well, I have to give a shout out to the Nordstrom Café, because it is truly my oasis of calm during the shopping insanity that day. Love the mall, but hate mall food. Like the hum of energy and excitement bargain hunting, but need a little quiet down time too. This place is usually surprisingly uncrowded so you can be seated right away and they have a great menu of soups, salads and sandwiches. They are served to you in comfortable booths and you can choose from an assortment of hot teas. It always hits the spot.
