I love this place my dad always took me here, they have great down home food — nothing too fancy, but it all adds up great! Staff is good, parking is great.
I cant say enough good things about this place — LOVE the specials!!! Ill be back everytime i got to Hanover!

The service here is great. The staff is very friendly and express true hospitality (such a breath of fresh air compared to the neighboring restaurants). It’s so relaxing. The food service is quick and so good. Such a warm country feeling.

Lifelong residents of Hanover, we ate here for the first time on a Friday night after and LOVED IT! The food was tasty and reasonably priced, especially the flounder and reuben. A real local, county feel. It was packed but the waitress informed us every night except Friday night you can be seated immediately. We had a 15 minute wait to get seats but they served us drinks outside. Friendly folks, tasty food, reasonable prices.

4 stars based on judgement for what it is; small town home cooking.
Went for dinner last night with my wife and 3 y/​o (Hounds Tooth was closed).
I had stuffed flounder. My wife had crab cakes. Baby had the hot dog. Food was pretty decent. Combined with really good prices and great service (IMO) warrants 4 stars. I saw the one review that complained about the furniture. Well I wasn’t eating my seat so that didn’t weigh into my review.

A great ‘local’ place to have a good meal for a reasonable price. The fried flounder is excellent, country ham is very good, beef tips over rice, flat iron steak, burgers and sandwiches are top notch. All of their sides taste home cooked and delicious. I eat there about 5 times a year and have never been disappointed. Don’t miss the banana pudding for a great ending.

Breakfast was merely adequate. The hashbrowns were below average, two eggs over easy were done just about right, the biscuit was meh. Price for two eggs over easy, hash browns and a cup of coffee was $ 6.50.

Pros: Everyone is friendly. It has a rural ambiance. The food is reasonably priced. There are always changing nightly specials.
Cons: The furniture and building itself is old. And not in that good antique kind of way. More in the «is this building going to fall on me and kill me» kind of way. And the biggest complaint… the food is bland. It is stuff my mom could cook (and my mom is not a good cook). I’ve tried many a meal here (I go with friends who go there because its cheap). And regardless of what I get from Fried Cat Fish to Tuna Steak to Potato Soup to the pork chops it is painfully obvious that they dont know how to properly season their food.
So if you are looking for a good cheap meal with a bunch of happy locals then go here. If you are looking for amazing food that will fill your pallet and your gut… maybe look elsewhere.
