Horrible customer service. No one to assist, not a friendly face around. Staff stares you down, especially the frrssing room staff. Makes you feel unwanted when all you want to do is try on clothing so you can make a purchase. Train your staff better and hire people who have customer service skills. I’m not putting my hard earned money in a store that treats people with utter disgust.

If you don’t know what H&M is then you probably haven’t stepped foot in a mall. It’s a clothing store for the entire family. Pricing is in between Old Navy and Gap, but I prefer the styling at H&M. The particular store in Arundel always seems like a tornado has gone thru there. It’s a bit messy at times. Customer service is decent if you ask for it. Check out is ok, sometimes the line gets 10 people deep.

TERRIBLECUSTSERVICE! YIKES! I am leaving a review on 2 stars, would’ve been 1 star, but I love the clothing at H&M. Upon arrival, no greeting. Not surprised as the look on the first employees’ face was disgust. I noticed that the store was extremely disorganized, clothing on the floor, mix matched on racks etc. Which usually doesn’t bother me, but ever rack seemed to be disorganized and it was mentally frustrating to find my correct size because it would be like the shirt I wanted w/two other completely different shirts on the rack then like a scarf! UGH. So, what any normal person would do, go and ask for help! BOY– was I wrong! I found a girl(w/bright blue hair) over at the fitting room. I figured it would be okay to ask her since she didnt seem to be real busy, and also the store was pretty dead, it being a wednesday in the middle of the afternoon. I asked her simply ‘hello, do you think you can help me find this shirt in a size4’ WATCHOUT… she turned ugly or something, her reply ‘everything we have is OUT, meaning you kind of have to just look for it yourself’…I didn’t even reply, I already had a bad feeling about this store when I was stared down by the first employee at the front of the store who was laughing with another employee, so why did I even bother to ask for help?! I just decided to go w/the size6 already had in my hands becuase I really desired the darn shirt and had to have it. I proceeded to the checkout counter. WOW I was immediately confronted with the words ‘please stand behind the pole until your called mam’(no one in line, just me). I laughed and stood there. She was using windex to wipe down the counter. She finally called me up. She scanned the tag… the tag had a bright, red round sticker that said $ 15, however it rang up $ 24.95. I pointed to it ‘yes but the red round sticker says $ 15′ she took the shirt back out of the bag,(rolled eyes, huffed then puffed gesture) she replied ‘well that price is over, sorry’(then literally, no exaggeration, ripped the price tag off) she continued ‘your total is going to be $ 24.95′ I just stood there shocked that she would actually rip the price tag off, a string hanging from the shirt, because she was so careless when removing the tag. I answered ‘I changed my mind, I no longer want it’ and then she tossed the shirt on the back counter and walked away. I was left at the counter standing w/no closure or solution to the situation.. . This complaint I am leaving here on Unilocal so you can be aware that this store is under horrible management and the employees are unprofessional, at least whoever was there that day. I’ve already forwarded this complaint along w/the names of those who I encountered that day to H&M customer service and their Disctrict Manager, who surprisingly I was able to get ahold of right away when the H&M support supplied me w/the email address. I am leaving their names out of this review, however if they were to read this, they would know who they are. how ashamed they should be. I have never received customer service such as this at any H&M and I will never shop at this particular location again! I will drive 40 more miles to another mall I know of that has excellent customer service! I have spent a lot of money at H&M over the years, not at this location but when ever I travel! I love there selection and style, H&M should be ashamed they have people like this representing the company :(
