The best customer service of all the large «big box» stores! I’ve been a customer in 4 stores in 2 states for 25 years and in my opinion OSH is the best. Very knowledgeable store assistants and if they don’t have all the answers they find someone who does. Also, a very clean and well organized store no matter which one you shop at. The garden center is MY fav department because I am an outdoor and indoor home gardener. Love OSH!

Orchard Supply is not the biggest, nor is it the hardware store with the greatest selection. their prices are pretty comparable to the other hardware stores in the area.
The one thing that sets orchard apart from the other large stores and its type is the customer service I have always received here. Everytime I come in there is a friendly person right there ready and waiting to ask me what it is that I need. I think you can have them radio ahead to other employees in the department they sent me to so that there would be somebody already there who would know what I was looking for. That’s above and beyond

I needed a replacement string of Christmas lights I had purchased at OSH a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, the Hanford store had sold out. I was told that what they had on the shelf was all there was. So, I called the Visalia store. They were sold out as well. However, the employee volunteered to check to see if one of the Fresno area stores had some which they did. She said she could do an interstore transfer for me and I could pick them up at the Visalia store. When asked to have them sent to the Hanford store, she indicated I would need to work that out through the Hanford store. So, I spoke with the manager, Don, at the Hanford store and he arranged to have them ready at the Hanford store tomorrow. Very pleasant experience.
Had the Hanford store had the lights available and had the employee volunteered to check with other stores, I would have given the Hanford OSH a 5th star.
