Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. It takes a while, but you need to go here in Hanford.

We came across this little place while on a business trip in Hanford. At first we didn’t know what to expect but needless to say we were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic!

I brought my daughter here tonight since we were craving some butter chicken. And I walked in and the owner remembered me and was so nice, I felt like I was walking into someone’s home. I don’t even care what she serves me because the food is so good! The wait is the only bad part when your hungry! Y’all have to come try this food! The naan, the butter chicken… amazing.

This place is awesome! I love their food, its the best Indian food I’ve tasted. The owners are so nice and welcoming and make time to get to know their costumers. I was told on one occasion they order their spices from India! Everything always is made Fresh and is highly delicious! I highly recommend the chicken tikki masala, butter chicken, samosas, the naan, and the lassi! so delicious! I eat here as often as I can with my mom.

I can’t recall trying Indian food so this restaurant wasn’t high on my list when a coworker suggested it. It was a little hard for us to find, but the trip was well worth it.
We visited on a Wednesday and the menu was set up sort of like a buffet, although they served you once, more like a sampler I suppose. We had an appetizer that was scrambled eggs mixed with mushrooms and wrapped in some type of bread with a red sauce. I hate mushrooms but I found this to be delicious! Next came the main course which had saag chicken, rice, and broccoli that was prepared in a way I’ve never enjoyed before.
The food was great but the service was even better. Our host/​server was very hospitable and extremely gracious. She made conversation with us but was never intrusive or bothersome. I would come back just for the stellar service, the incredible food is just a kicker! If you’ve never tried Indian food before or are apprehensive about trying it, I highly suggest this restaurant as your first time. I’m sure your first time will be as great as mine!

This place was amazing! Myself and a friend were in the area and decided to try it out. The host was extremely attentive making sure we have everything we needed. The food was delicious. I am defiantly coming back here. The price was worth the meal. It’s a great place to eat and enjoy some bollywood music videos :)

Food tastes good but overpriced. Service is super slow, portion on the small end. It took 40 mins to get my first order out! Seems like they are new to the business with minimum resource because not everything is availability on the menu and rice was not fresh. The reason for the one star, charging me $ 18 for my lamb curry when it says $ 14 on the menu! I told the waitress and she said it was their special and she can offer me a 5% discount, some 25 cents cookies and a candy. It’s just wrong to charge different price than what’s on the menu. I let them keep the $ 4 but will not come back.

It’s the first time I’ve been on a day they didn’t have buffet and I had no clue what to order. The owner greeted us at our table I told him my likes and dislikes and suggested the buttered chicken with white rice, it was so delicious that I can’t wait to go back again. &&& of course I couldn’t leave without taking a cup of their Mango Lassi to go!

Excellent service. Wonderful atmosphere! The food is just perfect. You’ll be coming back for sure!

I absolutely love this place! They give generous proportions of their delicious food. It never tastes like its been sitting out for hours, i always get my food fresh and made to order. The flavors are astounding and the family who owns the restaurant it one of the most kind hearted, most welcoming people. The place is small, but it has a very homey feeling that can rarely be found at other local restaurants. I have never been disappointed with their food. My favorite dish is the Tikka Masala with plain white Basmati rice! Yummy

Every time I would drive by I would tell myself I needed to try this place, and I’m so glad I finally did!
I’ve always liked Indian food and this place was no different! We had the lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and masala chai to drink. It was all fresh and everything was delicious and I honestly can’t wait to go back to try everything else they have.
I was also so impressed with the service. The two girls that helped us were extremely nice, knowledgable, and welcoming and I really enjoyed talking to them.
I’m so glad Hanford has a place like this and I definitely, definitely recommend it.

Took my mom here the other day for her first ever foray into Indian cuisine. She was intimidated at first, but immediately fell in love with the friendliest staff she’d seen in some time («friendly and helpful, but not annoying») and was put at ease the minute our order of samosas came out. She loved everything, and I even got her to try the goat curry!
Want to come back and try the Buffett. If it’s as good as the butter chicken, chili chicken, goat curry and samosas, we are in for a real treat.
Highly recommend.

3^rd time coming. I wasn’t really impressed the last couple of times. However, today’s butter chicken was really yummy. They could use a little more meat though. I like the yucca fries and the sauce that comes with it. Yucca fries are the greatest food invention of all lol.

We go once a month with friends. Indian has not ever been my first choice when we dine out; however, this place has completely changed my attitude and my palate towards Indian cuisine.
Everything is always so very fresh. The owners and their children are the wait staff and they take impeccable care of us the entire time.

Very pleasantly surprised! The customer service is unmatched and very hospitable. The food is very flavorful and colorful. Venue is very nice and lots of culture items to look at while still being open and comfortable. Highly recommend this restaurant to anybody wanting to broaden their horizons and have a taste of a beautiful culture.

Eating here was a revelation. We’ve grown accustomed to having to leave Hanford for good food. That’s no longer true.
The food here is fresh and delicious, and the family that owns the restaurant is very sweet and welcoming. They can’t wait to explain things on the menu and steer you in the right direction.
The items on the menu change slightly from visit to visit because they strive to use ingredients that are fresh and in-​season.
The naan was a little bit different than I’m used to. It’s a bit denser than I’ve had before. Do yourself a favor and get the spicy chili paste naan. It’s awesome.
We ended up eating a bit too much and I can’t remember what everything is called but it was all very good.
I’m really pumped that we can now Eat Local! Thanks for a great experience!

Amazing food and so friendly.
I had the chicken paneer and it was dangerously delicious. I could have eaten it all day! The Curry is also good and they let you choose your level of spiciness. On Monday they have a Buffett type thing which is really good too. I don’t know if it’s an Indian custom or not, but the service is the friendliest I’ve ever encountered. The owners are the ones who take care of you and they also cook the food. They are both extremely nice and like to know how your food is and They also engage you in friendly conversation. I highly recommend this place. I fell like this family opened this restaurant because they love cooking and want to meet and get to know their patrons. Much better than chain restaurants.

Very easy location very nice and clean. Family own. Our first time trying Indian food. Lots of parking space. Very good on music and tv with the the decorations atmosphere. You could dine or to go. Take credit cards. The food smells amazing. Cooked on the spot. They also have buffet on Mondays. Good pices.
Great to go or awesome with a group dinner. Highly recommended. Will be back for sure.

We have totally fell in love with this place. Everything is fantastic. The quality of the food is amazing. From the garlic naan, to the tika masala, to the chutney sauces, we have not been disappointed with anything.
And the fact that they offer buffet style dining is awesome! If buffet is not your thing, they offer special order plates, all of which are amazing. All of the different flavors and spices are hard to describe with words. If you are interested in trying something new, and bold, definitely give this place a try.
Please be aware that all of the special order items are made fresh when ordered, this means you will have a lengthy wait time for your plate, but… Its worth the wait. So if you are in a hurry this place might frustrate you.
The owners are very friendly and do an amazing job at creating authentic tasty indian dishes. If you go, make sure to ask plenty of questions and they will answer you with a smile and explain with enthusiasm their dishes. Its nice to see chefs excited about what they create. They really do love to cook and it shows. We have made this one of our regular spots for indian food, and we look forward to many more awesome meals here.

Soooo… I have been seeing a lot of different Indian dishes thanks to some of my fellow Unilocalers, and finally made the move to order something.
I have had Indian food in the past… I’m talking probably 20 plus years ago, so take my review for what its worth.
I had a friend recommend a place, but it was in Fresno and I didn’t want to make the drive. I saw that there was a place in Hanford, so I thought I would give it a shot. I tried calling the number listed, but it just rang and rang. I tried back, and then somebody answered and hung up. I finally drove over there, only to see that the place was locked up. There was no sign in the door and the hours said they were open till 730, and I was there at 647pm.
I was craving a particular dish, butter chicken, so I decided to go back today and try it again. I was happy to see that they were open when I got there. It is a little bigger than I thought it would be from the outside. I was immediately greeted and given a menu. The restaurant was really clean, nothing was out of place.
The cook came out from the back and she greeted me as well. After I placed my order to go, the girl that rang me up let me know about all of their specials and told me that on Monday’s they have an AYCE buffet. Just a note, the buffet will be closed on the 30^th of June (there is also a note on the door). She also explained that on Thursdays that they are at the Thursday Night Market… so I guess that explains why they weren’t there last night. I think that they should modify the hours listed on their door.
The food took a little while to come out, but it was nice and hot. It was $ 7.99 for the butter chicken and rice. I loved that they have cilantro on the rice, it tasted so good. There wasn’t a lot of chicken though, so it was kind of a let down. The flavor was really good, it had a little kick to the end of it. I also ordered the Garlic Naan that seemed very fresh and had good size pieces of garlic on it. I used my Naan to scoop the butter chicken and rice, I just wished that I had bought more Naan.
My meal was really enjoyable and the service that I received was very good. I will def come back here when I am feeling a little more adventurous w/​my taste buds. It is a good starting point especially if you are not used to Indian cuisine.
