I tried a few lilikoi pies and this place has the best lilikoi pie and macadamia nut pie ever. So delicious. The lady making the pie was really nice too. Must try for your vacation treat!

This bakery is connected to Wongs. The bakery is the door to the very right when looking towards the building. When you walk in, there is the register, lots of seating and a glass refrigeration unit in front of you. That is where the delicious pies are! We tried the lilikoi chiffon pie, the chocolate mousse, and the guava cake. The lilikoi was by far the best. Light and fluffy with a flaky crust.

Lilikoi chiffon pie. Lilikoi chiffon pie. Lilikoi chiffon pie. Don’t know what to order here? Lilikoi chiffon pie. Why else do you go to Kauai? Yeah, when you drive up to Omoide you think, «Is this the famous place for lilikoi chiffon pie? Looks like a plate lunch hole in the wall.» lol. After tasting lilikoi chiffon pie all over Kauai, this is still the best place. Not just childhood nostalgia — it’s the best. Lots of lilikoi flavor fills the flaky crust. Why isn’t there a lilikoi chiffon pie shop on Oahu!!!

Great Lilikoi pie! We saw the sign out front as we drove by on the highway. After looking it up, we just had to make a U-turn and double back. Glad we did, it’s pretty great! Light and refreshing. Fluffy, not too sweet, and very fresh.

This is yet another Kauai staple, especially in the Hanapepe area. They have different Chinese foods and they even have the whole hanging cooked duck thing going on. At least this restaurant is clean unlike some places in Chinatown. Not only do they have good food, but the reason why I go here, their deserts. This was the place we’d always buy any pies or cakes for family get togethers. They have a good assortment of flavors from Dream cake to Guava(my fave) to Chantilly(my mom’s fave). Also, it’s family owned so it has that home feel to it. There’s always a lot of people in there having dinner or just getting a bite to eat.

Ah Omoide, you are my go to place when I go pay my respects to my dad at the veteran’s cemetery and you never disappoint me. The lilikoi pie is fabulous, the best on the island, and the custard pie is like the custard pie Kapaa Bakery(which is no longer around; the daughters had no interest in keeping the family business. I hold it against them, as they were my classmates growing up and it was the best bakery or the only bakery on the east side) used to make. I’ve only been here for lunch; the prices are reasonable, the portions are generous and the food is delicious. My cousin tells me I should visit the Imu Hut across the street, but I’d feel like I was cheating on Omodie. Maybe on my next trip home, I’ll go to both places!

It’s like stepping back in time! You can’t find a place like this in Vancouver, that’s for sure. Old-school Chinese deli food. Thoroughly amused by the lucky pig, as opposed to the ubiquitous lucky cat :) Came here strictly for their lilikoi pie — it didn’t disappoint, but it’s not spectacular. What I really liked was the macadamia nut custard pie. Nice custard topped with chopped macs. Yum.

The west side’s favorite place for saimin. Ms S liked the Wor Won Ton Mein because it had shrimp, chinese bbq pork and wontons. I had the roast pork saimin. A large bowl with great flavored roast pork duly arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful. we also ended up taking a roast duck home for dinner. It and some sides fed four us us with plenty to spare for $ 20.

I love Lilikoi(passion fruit) and I love pies. So when traveling back from Poipu and we saw the sign for«Kauai’s Best Lilikoi Pies», we just had to stop for a piece. For me, like Jello, there’s always room for pies. Upon entering you see the cash register and a lady to your left. Right next to her are some Manapuas in a plastic container. I got a couple of those in addition to the lilikoi pie. I like something salty with something sweet, gives good contrast. Well, after taking a bite I had to say it was about average. It actually didn’t taste home-made for me. Crust wasn’t crispy and the lilikoi taste wasn’t strong enough. It almost tasted like something from the supermarket bakery. However, the manapuas were pretty good but not out of this world. This place is next to Wong’s Chinese in Hanapepe if you can’t find it.
