The actual name of this business is «Cody’s Lights & Repair.» They buy, sell and repair used lamps and lighting fixtures ranging from delicate porcelain sconces to fabulous Art Deco ceiling fixtures. I went there looking for a hard-to-find lamp socket after checking all the big box stores and hardware shops in the area. Not only did they quickly find what I needed tucked away in a drawer of salvaged parts and sell it to me for less than the on-line price, but Mr. R. W. Henson invited me to check out the incredible array of parts – crystals, shades, fresnels, just about anything imaginable – and lights on their second floor. I recommend this shop to anyone who loves old lights, needs a part for an heirloom, or simply wants to spend some nostalgic time in pleasant company inspecting classy merchandise. I’ll be going back soon.
