Great food, great prices and friendly staff! Love the fried pickles and fish and chips! Staff is friendly and one waiter Jason is super efficient and really goes out his way to make his customers happy.

The location was easy to find considering I am from out of state. We didn’t have to wait in line but got seated right away. I had the fan tailed shrimp and was glad I got the minnow size. Smaller and cheaper but it filled me up. My husband had the fried fish and he enjoyed it. After he wished he had it broiled but it was good fried.

I wouldn’t think that ordering lobster in Maine at a seafood restaurant, I would ever expect to get soft shell lobsters! I read some decent reviews here and decided to give it a try. I was pretty hungry since I did not eat lunch this day so I decided to order the twin lobster meal. For the price spent was definitely not worth it. Meal came with 2 — 1 pound lobsters and 2 sides(not a huge choice of sides either). When I got the meal and started cracking(not needing anything but my hands to crack since shells were so soft), I was very disappointed. I was lucky if I got enough out of both lobsters to even fill me up. Hardly any meat in these things. Being from out of state, I was at least expecting hard shell lobsters with meat filling the shell cavity area. I can get soft shell lobsters at home for less money and with better sides.

I was vacationing in the area and stumbled across this restaurant. What a find! The food was good and the staff was exemplary. Definitely recommend this restaurant

We came up to visit our daughter for the weekend. I was looking for a seafood restaurant that was well priced with good food. I was not disappointed with the Angler restaurant. Great food, great service, nice facility and well priced. This will be a regular stop when we come up.

Angler’s has good seafood at fair prices. We like the atmosphere — airy and cozy at the same time. Went this week with two sisters, one of whom is undergoing cancer treatment, and can only eat a little at a time. When she half jokingly asked if she could order from the children’s menu our server did not hesitate — of course. Server(Jason) continued to be friendly and attentive, but not overly so. The food is fine, but the reason I keep going back is the grape nut pudding. Warmed slightly and topped with real whipped cream it is incredibly good. In our area it is hard to find a good restaurant that is not part of a chain, but angler’s is one.

We’ve been to all three Angler’s locations and this is the best! Food is excellent at all three but this is a bit classier. Service excellent too. I had yummy fried scallops and a delicious Hot fudge brownie sundae for dessert. Wife did the fish and chips and a friend had broiled scallops and Haddock. All great.

Second time, decent food. Lobster prices seemed somewhat ridiculous. Seafood was fresh, clam chowder was very good. Not fancy at all but worth a visit.

I found Anglers Restaurant to be a good value for the money spent. If you are looking for fancy and elegant, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for good seafood, and excellent service at a good price, this is a great choice. I had the fresh broiled cod and scallops with vegetables, a nice local brew to wash it down, and a chocolate cream pie to top if off. I will go here again, if given the opportunity.

We drove here in the dark from a hotel about 2 miles up the road. It was March, snowing, and the parking lot was full on a Sunday night. That told us something right there. The seafood specials were fresh — not something frozen and shipped in. The service was quick. The waitress pointed out the specials — which I think is the way to go — but even if you don’t like it, one of our party tried the standbys and were happy. There are a lot of choices on the menu, and prices are affordable. You aren’t paying for fancy ambiance. There’s a fireplace inside — for some of that — yet the key is the food. The atmosphere is not intimate, but it is not noisy either. For food, they go for quality not quantity. You can do better at a fancy, expensive restaurant — yet for a small town in Maine — this was unexpected for very good food at an excellent price. Finally, the dessert was huge(quantity) — and if you get the blueberry pie — you know you’re tasting a Maine specialty!

I’m a flight attendant and travel the east cost weekly. This hidden gem located near Bangor was perfect. We started with the clam chowder. It was chock full of clams in a nice creamy broth that wasn’t overly heavy. We each had the Anglers platter with fresh cod, shrimp, scallops, and clams– all lightly breaded and fried. The cod was the definite winner here, although the scallops and shrimp were perfect too. We skipped the clams and we were able to substitute for extra scallops. We are both big eaters and took ½ of each meal home. GREATJOBGUYS !!! Our server, Ann from Long Island, was a gem, she was super attentive and made us feel at home. I will definitely be back and bring more customers.

Good seafood, as the name would suggest, but a friend had a really tasty prime rib as well. Large portions and great service.
