The desk clerk was very nice, down hill from there. As I unloaded my car a car load of partiers showed up and as they unloaded they shouted back and forth to people standing outside a room. The partying and shouting lasted all night. My room was filthy! The room had a bed, nightstand, desk with the tv on it and a 3×3 table with a chair that was falling apart, was filthy and had cig. Burns in it. Surprisingly the room did not have that musty smell and the bed was firm and comfortable. I did not feel secure and I was concerned about my car being broken into but it was not. I slept good in part because I have a license to carry a firearm and I had my firearm with me. Glad my wife was safe at home. Ps the motel is located in an industrial area with 2 adult strip clubs within walking distance right behind the highway sound wall. Scary with a capital S.

Do not take your family here. Zero stars is too high. This place should be condemned. Hookers, drug deals, bedbugs, and all the noise that comes with it. The place was so awful we had to leave by 1:00 am.

What can I Say? I booked through hotels dotcom. When I entered, the polite, but not very bright, clerk was trying to tell a woman on the phone that she hadn’t paid for her room — just«to hold the room» — on expedia. I already became nervous at this point. The other clerk, a woman, had a little difficulty getting my room through — at which point the guy told me to call — about to ruin my day, but the nice lady came through and found where my reservation was marked as paid. In the end I advise you do NOT book this hotel through any site except the chain’s official one; you may have problems if you pre-pay. The bathroom was pathetic. My hot girlfriend said that it looked like a jail bathroom; we both expected a large man named«Bubba» to jump out of the wall. There was barely any hot water coming out of the weak shower head. It reminded me of the very low-power setting that old ladies use on the garden hose to water their flowers. The TV barely even worked. Fuzzy reception of a few channels. I admit I did not ask the front desk to fix it. Considering it was an old CRT from the 1990s, I wasn’t too concerned as to whether it worked, didn’t work, barely worked, or exploded. Nineteen inches of FAIL. We did have towels. The bed was as clean as a Motel 6 bed is going to get. The heater worked and so did the room key. I guess for the PRICE, it’s what to expect. Also, a cop was looming outside in the morning at the check out office. I’ve had better accommodations at a campground. I only give this two stars because one cannot expect five stars for fifty bucks, and because the staff WAS extremely polite.

Yikes. I hate to give bad reviews, especially since the woman at the desk was so nice and helpful, but this place was so sketch that we left =/After a long day of driving it was really a big decision to find a new place to stay. There were lots of shady people just hanging around outside, which made me uncomfortable, especially since I need to take my small pups out late at night. LOTS of smoking outside. A strip club two doors away. We stayed long enough to see our room, which seemed fine, but had a funky smell. The cheap-ness of this option couldn’t make up for the downsides. We ended up finding a better option down the road in Merrillville– I would recommend doing the same until this Motel 6 cleans it up.

This location hoovers, but it may bound back as it is a Motel 6 acquired property. WiFi is extra and at its best, weak signal AND you have to pay for it. The beds are typically Motel 6 quality(or lack thereof). Difficult to find UNLESS you are on I80. If you are traveling east from Chicago, do not use your GPS’ as they do not inform you of the 912 closure and the good people of the road department did a rather piss poor job of marking the detours… Yeah, I am so taking Indiana of my visit list after tonight… glad I am just pushing my way through.
