Great for Pokemon and other games. My son(9 years old) loves going for Saturday Pokemon tournaments. Very well run, very casual, good place to learn the game and hang out with kids his age while older kids play their own games.

I love small businesses like this! I wish the location was more central to other small shops so they’d get more foot traffic, but the strip mall does allow ample parking for their game nights and such. The selection is wide ranging. Though I can imagine someone just coming in looking for something as a gift might be overwhelmed, the owner seems super-knowledgeable and happy to chat with customers about potential picks. They were also kind enough to offer to put a game on hold for us that was out of stock at the time, so that we’d be sure to get a copy with the next shipment. I’d love to see mini-reviews of games, like you sometimes find in bookstores(«if you like x, try this game» kinds of things, or just short descriptions of favorite games) to make it a little easier to browse as a non-gamer type. But, generally, I’m always happy to see businesses like this surviving!

This is a great game and hobby store. As another reviewer mentioned this once ubiquitous store type has all but vanished from our city streets. They carry a large selection of war hammer and other miniature war games along with the tools and paints necessary to field your armies in full splendor, or slap’n’dash if that is your thing. They have a nice selection of modern board games with a nice European representation. They also have collectible card game packs and individual cards including magic, Pokemon, yu’gi’oh and more. The owners also carry a smaller selection of models and trains but the store is dominated by the gaming hobby. They offer weeknight game nights as well with some focused such as warhammer or magic as well as free play and family nights. Table space is available during regular store hours as well. The owner Rob(which I met) and co owner Sean are nice, friendly, and knowledgable about their wares which makes finding a new game for family game night that much easier.

This is the type of store you don’t find to often any longer in the modern era of big-box stores. The mom and pop hobby store(this one is more board games than trains and models) used to be a fixture of most towns, but they aren’t around much anymore. The selection on any given day is variable as they only stock one or two of any particular game, but they will gladly special order anything you are looking for. Unfortunately, most of the really cool«European style» board games are expensive to begin with, so buying from a store with such small volume usually means you are paying a premium. The store, however, is also well stocked with collectible card game new packs and loose individual cards, if you swing that way with your gaming. That all being said, they do host game nights, the owners are knowledgeable about their wares, and it is a local store. so the premium price is worth the occasional impulse purchase for an impromptu game night. If you are local, stop in and try a new game. there is so much more out there than just monopoly and scrabble!
