I came in hoping to be quick. After about 15 minutes of looking around for the item I wanted, I gave up and started to look for an employee to help me. Turns out that was the more challenging thing to find in the store. I had to ask the ONE person at the register and he gave me terrible instructions because he was clearly busy. I came back and asked him again after looking and he finally walked me to the corner of the store to find my item. When we went to checkout, the line was long. Ridiculous how they can only hire 1 employee to run their store. This is not the first time I encountered the understaffing issue here. There is a target next door with similar products and 10x better shopping experience.

The store is quite large, however, it is not so well organized. Why are acrylic paints in two very different areas?! Makes it hard to compare items. While the staff could not help me so much, since what I wanted to do was very specific and more for science than art, they tried very much to help me, and that was appreciated. If they can reorganize in a better way that makes more sense, then I would definitely appreciate the place a lot more. Otherwise, nothing else is all that different from any other Michaels chain I’ve seen.

As a yarn shop, if you don’t mind mostly synthetic yarn or imported knitting needles and crochet hooks, it isn’t bad. It is a shame that they don’t stock better quality, American made products.

A great one-stop place for most crafting needs. Extensive book selection, and classes, too! Lots of yarn for the knitters, although of course for the reallly good stuff you have to go online or to a more posh knitting store.
