Don’t waste your money or take the chance of getting sick. Walking in on a Saturday night I thought the food would be fresh. Now it wasn’t the dry looking rice or mushy tomatoes that made us change our minds, but the dark layer of crust on top of the beans that sent us running. Wouldn’t go back if they gave us free food and a salary.

I go here all the time, always great food and service. The staff and mangers are very friendly and welcoming. I love eating here because the food is always fresh and delicious. I’m also obsessed with their queso it’s sooo good. And If your looking for a quick place to eat(takeout) or some where to go with the family this is the place to go. Definitely a must go!

I ordered a chicken salad in a plastic bowl(not the nacho bowl) and it was decent. The vegetables were fresh, the chicken was good, and it was a good portion size. My only complaint was that the salad dressing was way too acidic, not better than chipotle and the salsas offered on your way out were not tasty. The best one was the mango salsa. Oh and forgot to mention the guacamole is amazing. Overall solid option for lunch.

I want to love this place, but I just can’t. The food is never consistent and by the time you get to the register, your food is cold because their assembly line doesn’t exactly move quickly. Forget paying the same price each time. I always order the same thing and each time at the register I’m presented with a new price to pay. Try to tell them? Good luck. They’ll argue with you until it doesn’t become worth it anymore and your food is stone cold. Don’t try to use a coupon either. I literally had a woman take my coupon and then watched her NOT take the discount off my bill. When I told her she grabbed the cash difference from their tip jar to reimburse me. What?! Avoid if you can.

I love Moe’s. Quick, easy, and delicious. I think that I always get exactly what I expect when I come here. Quick Mexican that is pretty simple but I know that walking in. The customer service is normally always good. I did have one bad CS experience when their debit machines were down. We didn’t know until it was time to check out and they were giving us a hard time. They basically said they would rather throw what we ordered away than to give it to us for free. Many of the places I’ve been would give you what you ordered because it’s not the customers fault the machines are down. Anyways, they did some kind of offline credit card order and we were charged for it later. I normally always get the tofu because it’s the best I’ve had. Perfectly seasoned and grilled. I get it as a burrito or a burrito bowl. I also get the queso, I love it! The green tomatillo salsa is also really tasty. I would recommend this Moe’s if you’re looking for a quick and tasty Mexican treat. Bring cash just incase the machine goes down, otherwise you might to hungry.

Horrible! I would have been better off going to Taco Bell! Worst service ever. By the time we got our food it was cold. The service was sooo slow! Dont come here. Zero stars.

Went to this location a few times and it proceeded to get worse. Decided to do take out. I purchased a bowl with grilled chicken and all the works. I now have the worst stomach ache. The food is very poor quality. Never again going to any Moes. With all the other food choices, especially on rt.33 I would avoid this place. They also only gave me about 12 chips to go with my salsa, which by the way is awful. The salsa is definitely not fresh. If I could eye the amount of chips that’s never a good thing. To be fair my boyfriend did mention the Moes in somerset, NJ was a lot better than this one. We both agree if you want something like this, for around the same price, and better quality definitely try out Qdoba.

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst Moes location ever! Which is strange because the one in Somerset has the same owner from what I was told, and that one is great. I go often and every time I visit I roll the dice. If I get something with rice, the rice is usually hard. Tacos and its either barely any meat or they don’t drain the meat and my tacos are soggy and fall apart. Once the manager told me it was my fault for ordering hard shell tacos! Sometimes I get lucky and everything is good. The chips suck one day and other days they’re great. Watch out though, they ring you up for whatever price they feel like. I get the same thing every time so I know how much it should cost but it always comes out to a different price. On several occasions a manager told me the price in the system is wrong. Come on. They are just really stingy here. When I order an extra FULL bag of chips it’s usually half full, and when I say something about it they just give me attitude. Like I’m the jerk for paying almost 20 bucks for some tacos and chips. Way too expensive. It sucks that I do like the food, so every time I go I really hope it’s going to be good but I leave disappointed the majority of the time. I’ve tried writing complaints but they don’t care. Be warned. Don’t let them screw you over.

I guess I am just not a fan of Moe’s as a franchise. If I had a dollar for every time I wished the Moe’s location on Rt 33 was a Chipotle, I’d be a rich girl. Problem is Moe’s is convenient to me, whereas I have to go out of my way to hit the Chipotle on Rt. 1. So, at times when I’m in a pinch and craving something like Chipotle-like meaning made-to-order fastTex/Mex, I’ll go to Moe’s, and every time, I’m left wondering why I bothered in the first place. The rice, beans, and all of the other toppings you can choose to add into your creation all seem flavorless, or taste like«soap,» as my Mom put it. The guacamole is totally lacking in flavor, and then they have the nerve to be stingy with it. I didn’t get any meat in my bowl, the least you could do is give me a hearty dollup of guac. The one thing I do like about Moe’s is the free chips and salsa bar, but it’s not enough to make me return.

I like this place because it always good. They are very consistent. You get to watch them prepare your meal and can customize it. They never make a mistake because you watch the entire process. The chips are good and the self service salsa bar has choices so you should find what you like. The only thing I don’t care for is the queso. The line moves fast so the wait is never long. Ingredients are also always fresh!

We frequent moes on nearly a weekly basis. We have been going to the one in west Windsor since they opened and since moving to Bordentown have been going to this moes in Hamilton instead. Going so frequently we can detect small changes in flavoring and food prep. Like the beans being more or less cooked. Or when the place gets busy or slow down to the day or hour. In our opinion moes is the best chain for Mexican style food. They prices are fair, flavors are consistent and provide a wide variety of menu options. This isn’t your hole in the wall legit underground Mexican restaurant. So know what you are getting yourself into when you go and level your expectations. But the food is really good, flavorful and load up on Queso.

Manager talks very loud, over talks the customers and tells everyone your total like it’s a game show. The rice on My burritto was VERY hard! I couldn’t believe it! How is that a main ingredient and be hard as little rocks? I was very disappointed and I brought 4 burritos for others and theirs was the same as well. I will be try other establishments at this point because this Moes Southwest turned me off from ALL of them. Hard Rice… Really? Was it old rice or undercooked? Either one is really disgusting!

Moe’s is to real Tex/Mex, what Red Baron is to real pizza — Not even close! I don’t mean that it is bad per se, because the ingredients are decent and the outcome has a passing resemblance to authentic TexiMexi; it’s just that the ultimate experience was somewhat hollow if you know what the real stuff can do. My Homewrecker, wasn’t. It was simply a large burrito wrapped in a premade tortilla that held chicken, black beans, rice, lettuce, pico, cheese, and jalapeño slices. Although the chicken was ostensibly grilled, this gordito was cooler than room temperature when consumed. I would have much preferred a hot tortilla and warm innards. Didn’t happen. It wasn’t any fun to eat, even if it was healthy and filling. The accompanying chips were run of the mill mass produced corn crisps. The only spark of creativity came from the Salsa Bar, which had a few interesting options. The Cranberry Salsa was refreshingly good. Given the ever growing number of Mexican, Guatemalan, Salvadoran restaurants springing up in Trenton and Hamilton, Moe better hope that enough people are either afraid to go to those real places, or happy to partake of the neutered platters he puts out. As for me, I am too far gone on the authentic comidas de America Centrale to ever find this place satisfying.

The Subway of burrito places. With Pancheros, Chipotle, and Qdoba all nearby, Moe’s seems redundant, but follows a somewhat different business model. My wife and I went on Monday for their advertised«Moe’s Mondays» or whatever, where any burrito is $ 5.99. It was one of those nights when we felt trapped in Hamilton, but this time due to snow and ice and not just the fact that Hamilton is Mercer County’s Purgatory. First thing’s first, the menu. A wall near the entrance is taken up by a peacock display of a menu, with over a dozen entries in flashy font and pictures, but this is all to deceive you because they actually only have two burrito selections. A standard one(the«Homewrecker»), a standard one without guacamole and sour cream(«Joey Bag of Donuts»?), and a vegetarian one(«Art Vandelay»). You might notice that the Homewrecker and Joey’s Lack of Flavor are actually the same thing at similar eateries, where they just ask if you want to pay a little extra for sour cream and guac, rather than giving it a special snowflake name. We moved to the counter to order, where behind glass you can see the ingredients all laid out in little tubs, pretty standard. I ordered a Homewrecker(AKA a regular burrito) with steak and just about every free filling. The young woman preparing my burrito took a pre-made tortilla and put it in a tortilla press, I suppose to warm it up. Normally a tortilla press is used to actually make tortillas from dough, but I’m not sure if these employees are trained how to cook. Rather, I think they have the same level of training as a Subway«sandwich artist». We made our way down the line, I paid, and we went to sit down. The first thing I noticed before eating was that this place apparently lacks bottles of hot sauce for you to spice up your burrito with. Whereas Pancheros has their trademarked hot sauces and other places at least keep a few bottles of Tobasco, Moe’s has some kind of salad bar setup with a single bottle of I’m not sure what, but it looked like you were supposed to fill a small plastic cup with it and use it for dipping chips. If there is one word that could describe the food, it is «bland». If there are two words that can describe the food, they are«bland and cold». The tortilla was chewy, the contents of the burrito felt like they had been sitting in the refrigerator, and the only flavor I could detect was the incredibly bland chipotle ranch sauce it was slathered in, forming a slimy texture reminiscent of something I would get at a truck stop. It still wasn’t terrible, it certainly beats Taco Bell’s interpretation of the burrito, although that’s not saying much. It was also fairly large and quite filling, so I won’t complain that I didn’t get my money’s worth of food. The quality is what’s unimpressive. The unlimited chips taste like any old tortilla chip and the guacamole and salsas were fine, but we didn’t feel any desire to take advantage of the«unlimited» part. The whole time I ate I was freezing. It was 12 degrees outside and I had to ice skate my way across the parking lot, and yet Moe’s thought it appropriate to have their air conditioner running. I’m sure whoever was in charge of deciding the temperature was also in charge of the music. Moe’s played, at considerable volume, an assortment of disco and 70s to 80s pop and rock. Maybe Moe’s is going for a demographic just a few years older than me, maybe it was just the manager’s personal choice. Whatever the case, the experience was surreal. The restaurant looks like any other burrito place at first glance, but the layout is really more reminiscent of a Subway. The lack of any grill or visible heating element conveys that the employees making your burrito aren’t trusted to actually cook anything. As you move down the line you see assortments of bottled drinks and cookies and other snacks. The idea is similar to Subway, that you’ll just keep picking things up because they’re cheap and you’re in a hurry. If you must, come here on Monday to try their burritos for cheap. They’re pretty big and rather filling, just don’t expect much in the flavor department. If you think you got your money’s worth for $ 5.99, come back next Monday. If you’re craving a burrito any other day of the week, Pancheros is just down Klockner. Personally, I won’t be making a return visit.

I really like this franchise, but this location is horribly stingy and the owner/manager is uncomfortably rude to staff in front of customers. After a few bad experiences, I’ll be visiting the other location in Hightstown from now on.

Of all the burrito franchises that are popping up left and right, Moe’s is one of the better options in terms of flavor, in my opinion. This location is clean and the food tastes fine. Unfortunately, the ordering line takes forever, and it seems it’s because of the register. One cashier serves all orders, including people who jump the burrito line to order ice cream. The cashier is the one who prepares the sundaes and that can really back up the line. Even with no ice cream orders, you can sometimes be in line for over ten minutes. I don’t know why the register takes so long(today it took longer for the girl to ring me up than it took for the other girl to prepare my burrito). On occasion, I’ve pulled up, seen the line inside, and driven away.

Moe’s is great! It is close by, tasty and fun menu items. It is not real Mexican food but there are not many of them in this area. I try to go during off peak hours, when the lines are shorter. It is very casual, my kids like it too. And with Carvel attached – that just adds points. The different salsas are delicious!

I picked up a burrito a few weeks back. They put chips in the bag with the burrito as usual. When I got home, I opened up the bag and took one of the chips out. It was one that was folded over. I cracked it open and inside was what looked like an Earwig(pincher bug). It was alive and well and enjoying the chip. I let management know and I got an email explaining that this just shouldn’t happen because of procedures they have in place. Well apparently those procedures need to be reviewed.

Moe’s will always be better than Chipotle, because it’s cheaper/tastier/you get free chips. And Moe’s monday. That being said, shout out to this particular location for nice outdoor seating and carvel ice cream.

A lot of similarities here with Chipotle. I like the build your own style of burrito coupled with the pop culture menu references. Not sure about the mixing of themes…80’s music, TV shows, movies, southwest. Feels like some marketing exec wanted to blend everything he or she liked. Burrito was ood and had fresh ingredients. I liked the grilled tofu option as I often get a veggie burrito but feel as if there nothing substantial to it. The tofu fits that need. Lunchtime on a Friday was busy and we got stuck behind two huge orders that took forever. A second cashier would have been nice and sped things up. Total wait time to order and pay was around 12 minutes.
