I love Go Go China and have been going here for 15 years. Their mushroom soup is the best when you are sick.

I am not a big Chinese food person. Yes, I do like Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean and other Asian countries cuisine but not so much with the Chinese food. The reason being we used to eat it every other week growing up because my father loved it so much. That, and on Christmas the only thing open in the Northeast is Chinese restaurants and movie theaters. Or at least that’s how it used to be. I only started eating it again within the past few years and even then it’s sporadic. So, I’m at work and for some reason I get a hankering for some Chinese. I know that over in Haltom City(Bellknap area) there are alot of Vietnamese, Japanese and other Asian places. It’s only about 10 minutes from work. We had a menu for Go Go China, and I gave it a try. One always says Chinese food is usually better cold, and it this case it’s no different. The food was decent, but as it got colder and solidified, the tastes got better. I had some steamed dumplings, which you can never go wrong with them and the sweet soy mixture that always joins it. Those were gone in a matter of seconds. I also had the szechuan beef which had the little hot pepper icon next to it on the menu. It wasn’t spicy and I guess I should have told them to make it that way. Lots of meat, onions(white and green) and carrots in a brown sauce. Hot, it wasn’t so great, but as it cooled off the flavors came out and it was quite enjoyable. As for the location, I think they took over an old fast food place, because that’s what it seemed like to me because they had a drive thru. That’s different… Anyway, for Chinese food it was a-ok by me. But it’s not a place that I have to break my neck in order to go to again. Enjoy
