I don’t even keep kosher and would come back in a heartbeat. My girlfriend and I were in the mood for middle eastern, and we saw this restaurant while driving, and while the outside of the restaurant looks a bit bland and unassuming, the inside is very nicely decorated. I had the hot dogs and fries lunch special. I don’t think I’ve ever raved about fries before in my life, but these are the best fries I’ve ever had, and that includes extremely overpriced NYC gastropub fries flavored with such accoutrements as truffle oil, etc. My girlfriend had the turkey shawarma combo plate. All the vegetables and sides were fresh and tasty, but the highlight was the meat. It was extremely tender and lean. We both agreed that the flavor and spices made this the best shawarma we’ve ever had, and this is coming from two people that live in New York! To top it off, the prices were quite reasonable and the service quick and friendly.

While it is no fancy restaurant, the food was delicious! The steak and lots of salads with pita cost about the same as a raw steak would have cost me!

Simply amazing! My fiancée and I have traveled 20+ minutes twice now for this guy’s food and will definitely be returning for more. His falafels are the best I’ve had outside of Israel. Ever. Period. Let that sink in. That means that I would choose his falafels over the ones in NYC, the thousands of restaurants throughout this country, and even the homemade ones my friends and their families make. My fiancée loves his shawarma, I passed on it the first time(my eyes were set on falafel) but I tried it he second time. It is EXCELLENT! I recommend you try it with the orange sauce(pumpkin) but that’s just me. The man who’s been behind the counter has been EXTREMELY nice and patient with me and my fiancé, especially when we’re stumbling over our decisions and what would be good toppings for our sandwiches. I told him the one or two toppings that I wanted to steer clear of(extra onions) and said to go to town. I ordered two falafel pitas(so hungry) and he made two completely different and delicious sandwiches based on just the toppings. He seems to truly care about his customers and asks you to sit and enjoy his food while it’s hot before paying. Nice little things like that(plus great food and free pickles) are what keeps a customer coming back for a long time. I can’t speak to the food on the menu other than the falafels and the shawarma(and the multitude of toppings and pickles he has available.) I can say that this little overlooked restaurant is a welcoming, and very delicious place to be.

I love middle eastern cuisine and I have to say l’chaim has the best shwarma I have ever had in South Florida. The guy behind the counter is so nice and friendly it just makes me want to come back more often. I highly recommend this place to anyone. A+++

Nice delivery guy and food was prompt, but it wasn’t very good. I didn’t know what to choose, so I chose far too much hoping something would be excellent. I love falafal so had the it via the pita pocket combo(comes with canned drink) with baba ganouj, hummus, imported pickles and pickled turnips added. There was a strange spice in either the Falafal, eggplant, or hummus that turned me off — I’ve never tasted that before in those items so have no idea what it was but couldn’t ignore it even though I was starved. The ratio of pickles was insane — probably a full cup! — so I took them off and ate a few separately; the strange taste wasn’t coming from them and the turnips in particular were delicious. The fattoush salad was huge but dreadfully overdressed– so much so I couldn’t get down more than a few bites. The pita in it was so crisped that it no longer qualified as fattoush. The dolmades were old and stringy and completely inedible. Desserts were just a dollar each so I had both the little pillows and baklava. Baklava was fine but the tiniest piece ever– even for a dollar it was amusing. The pillows had a funky smell and taste, like they’d gone over, so I only nibbled and did not like or trust them. The French fries seemed like an excessive order on my part and I hadn’t even meant to include them, but they ended up being the best part about the meal. Luckily for me, they’d included a dozen packs of off-brand ketchup. I spent $ 34 for French fries and half a Falafal pita pocket and a canned Pepsi. Live and learn.

Had a beef shawarma in a pita. Let me tell you I’ve had much better. The meat was dried, like it was old. And a lot of fat particles that are not edible. Seriously I was spitting out pieces of fat. Not good based on my experience

Just the kind of place I love to «find» when we are hungry and not quite sure what for. Nick, the owner, cook, server, and mashgiach, supervises a clean, neat but small, kitchen with smells that made me even more hungry. He gave us a verbal tour off the food, took our order and — washed his hands and put on gloves — to do the preparation. We sampled the Hummus and Babagnush dips with fresh but not warm pita. Both were up to my high but uninformed standards with the Babagnush being«eat every drop» good. Next came the very best Falafel, crunchy outside, flavorful and steamy good inside, The order actually provided enough for lunch — great meal at $ 2.99 — prepared by Nick just for us. Our main disk was L’Chaim mix of chicken, beef and turkey. My friend and I split this $ 15.99 disk that we were actually unable to finish. Each of the ingredients preserved its unique taste. We loved it. It was mid-afternoon on a weekday and there were two other tables enjoying a very late lunch. The place was obviously clean, Nick changed his gloves and rewashed his hands before preparing the next group’s lunch after handling menus and such. The combination of clean and the Glatt Kosher sign reinforced the spotlessly clean surroundings. The building is old, there is limited parking, but once inside we completely enjoyed the experience. One nice touch, Nick offered to turn down the TV as we ordered, keeping conversation possible through the meal. Try it, l’chaim.

only had the Falafal and tabouli salad. Falafal was very good Pita fresh and tasty without being warmed, For my taste the Tabouli salad had way too much Bulgar wheat and mint!
