Sunny weekends, for me, mean getting out to the coast. On such an excursion down to Santa Cruz & points beyond, I stopped here to caffeinate. Because, I love Peet’s coffee! Pulling into the parking lot, there were plenty of spaces right in front. Walking in the door, however, I immediately found the back of the line to order. Being located in a shopping center at the intersection of Highways 1&92, this Peet’s gets a lot of traffic. Even though the line was about a dozen deep, service went relatively quickly & smoothly. & I used my Unilocal app check-in offer to get $ 1 off a featured drink, anything coconut this time. I got a Coconut Black Tie & it was yum. With sweet delicious caffeine in hand, it was time to continue motoring down the 1& taking in the fresh ocean air with the top down. Because sunshine & sea breezes on a weekend are not to be wasted.

Great taste, bad service. We ordered a English breakfast tea, and even though they were out she just decided to give us a random tea and thought we wouldn’t notice. So instead we just has to order something else, also the lady was so rude.

There was just one person making the drinks for people and 2 to 3 people taking the order. Not sure if the operations manager of the place knows how to reduce waiting times and help improve turnaround. Pretty ridiculous!

First off it was a rainy Sunday afternoon at 3 there was no fresh coffee made there was one girl at the counter and 5 customers deep in line 5 customers deep in line. Not one other employee attempted to ease the line. When I finally got up to the cash register I was told there was no fresh coffee this is the longest wait I’ve ever had to endure at Peets ever. I won’t be going back anytime soon

In a nutshell: + Lot of seating, has outdoor ones too. + Not noisy. + In a mall complex, so plenty of parking. ~ Drinks are okay — not fancy, not bad either. ~ Restrooms could be cleaner(but hey, depends on people who use it too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) This is my regular pit-stop to grab a drink and refresh whenever my motorcycling adventures take me through Half-Moon bay. It has plenty of seating, coffee-shop indie music playing at the«just right» volume. I have tried their lattes, specialty lattes, and hot chocolate(mostly hot drinks) and like them in that same order(less to more). The baristas I’ve interacted with have always been friendly and make good drinks for a big-chain coffee shop. Don’t expect to be amazed — set your expectation right :) You won’t be disappointed though. This place is good for working(or reading) too. Noise levels are pretty low and there’s usually 2 – 3 people working on their laptops. I’ve spent ~1 hour-ish here reading a book and wasn’t too distracted or asked to leave or other shenanigans. Being a motorcyclist, I make use of the restrooms whenever I make a pit-stop. You used to need a key(that they you had to get at the counter), but doesn’t seem to be required anymore. I’d say it was reasonable clean most of the time and usually has no line either(:amaze:). Parking is easy-peasy as it’s in a mall with a big parking lot. I don’t really have anything to complain about, but I have my expectation set for«Peets» and not for some gourmet-hipster-coffee-shop.

Soy lattes are fine, standard Peete’s fare. Rudest barista I have ever seen in a coffee shop — probably needs to get a job that doesn’t involve interacting with people!

Peet’s customer service is unrivaled. Drink fixed and more. I don’t plan on drinking coffee elsewhere. So much more than coffee can be had by being a Peet’s Patron.

Horrible customer service. Rude employees that were completely un-accommodating. Coffee was mediocre at best.

Employees are great. Coffee is good. But the internet speed is a joke. 2 months ago I clocked it at 0.1MB per second or 100KB per second. I.e. not even fast enough to use email. 2 months later and the problem hasn’t been fixed. It’s quite frustrating when decent wifi is ubiquitous and we are so close to silicon valley. Peet, could you at least put out a sign stating that the internet is down?

I Love Peet’s! This is my go to place in half moon bay. This location is clean and staff is friendly. Coffee comes out fairly fast and the location is pretty big in size. The atmosphere here isn’t crazy like at Starbucks down the street. The coffee is yummy, it’s not too sweet unlike at Starbucks where it’s all sugary.

Got a iced mocha and a cinnamon bun. I asked them if they could heat up the bun and they said they didn’t have anything to heat it with. I love mochas.

I’ve heard rave reviews from family and friends regarding Peet’s. So I decided to give it a try during my visits in SF area. Today I ordered a blended Café Fredo with an added shot. It was disappointing :(The flavor was lacking boldness and I did not taste the extra shot in my coffee. I may try it one more time during my stay in SF to see if it may be a fluke at that particular store.

I don’t come to this location often but it is a reliable place to get my coffee fix when I’m traveling highway 1. The pastries are fresh and the barista usually does a good job on my cappuccino. The staff here, thought friendly, tend to be more laid back than I would like when the place gets busy. It takes longer to get a drink here than it does at the shops in Dublin, San Ramon, or Berkeley that I frequent more often. It could just be the more laid back atmosphere or Half Moon Bay, but still it can get frustrating to wait around when there is only one drink a head of yours.

I am an avid Peets coffee drinker but normally stick to the one in San mateo on park place but tend to stop in here occasionally through out the week as I live down the street. Coffee is always great and the place is usually very clean. Management should definitely step in as far as the customer service is concerned. I am not sure if maybe team member morale is low or I show up at the wrong times, but each time I have come in, the girls working behind the counter(minus the taller girl who’s name I didn’t catch and the gentlemen with long hair, both of them are always extremely nice when they are working) are extremely rude and continue their side conversations about parties they attended the night before rather than helping out the customer in front of them. When you walk up to the counter they stare at you like your lost rather than saying«hi» or «what could we get you today». All in all a great area for a Peets location but this place could thrive even more with a more personable staff.

Great coffee and service. The seating area and restrooms were in need of attention. We sat on the bench area near the creamers. The bench was covered in crumbs and the bar area between the bench and creamers was so dusty my kids were tempted to clean it. Gross. Still a great place to escape a cold, windy campsite.

I drop by here about every other month or so. It’s convenient as it is right off of the end of 92. If you want something different from Starbucks then Peets is the way to go. FOOD: B to B plus SERVICE: B minus
