When camping up the road at North South Lake, stopping here is a must. The girls that work there are extremely nice, and the owner Joe can often be seen on the deck smoking a cigar and sipping on a beer. Things inside are kind of pricey(the only reason I couldn’t give the full 5-stars), but I would much rather pay the mark-up and support the local business than drive the extra 35 minutes to the closest Walmart. They have the best icecream I’ve had in a while, and they make the best tuna salad sandwich around. Joe is always great to have a conversation with about life in general, and for the most part, once thats happened, he’ll remember(even if only by your face) from then on out. My parents have been going there since the 70’s and always stop for a chat with him on their way to NSL. I look forward to my next visit!

very unfriendly. wouldn’t let us use the bathroom after making two purchases in two days and the woman who seems to run the place just seemed irritated to have to answer any simple questions.

This is a great cute place that has everything. The sandwiches area tasty and filling. Make sure to try the horseradish. The owners are husband and wife and are sweet as pie. They’re dog lovers too! The owners are very helpful and give lots of great tips on must things to do and see in the area.

Located by North/South lake so mainly a tourist destination. They serve ice cream and sandwiches. You can find all your camping, fishing, biking, hiking needs here. Also a gift shop and small grocery store. Also sell Knives. A little pricey, but why wouldn’t they be when it’s a huge tourist stop?
