Real quick; my wife was on the Thruway and thought she lost her phone at the Stewarts she had stopped at. She called on her work phone and asked me to call them to see if they had found it. I called and a young man named Michael Leonard answered. I told him my dilemma, and without hesitation he said no, it hadn’t been turned in but he would go search the parking lot, would I please hold. A few minutes later he came back to report that he hadn’t found it, sorry.
I was expecting «No, sorry», click. Very impressed. Michael, you can come work for me anytime. Thank you.

Stewart’s Shops (also a gas station) is a local chain expanding into Vermont. They make their own ice cream (which is the bomb!!) and milk products, and iced teas. They always have seasonal ice cream flavors and they’re all a must try.
Favorites: Pumpkin Pie Ice cream (fall), Death By Chocolate, Mint Cookie Crumble, Happy Camper (summer,) Monkey Business.
