Sal’s Original Pizza & Restaurant

I ordered a cheesesteak, cheesy garlic break, and a pizza. My food took over an hour on a Weds. Night, and it was cold. Will not order from here again.

Just ordered delivery from this place, and it was really awful. We got two cheesesteaks and an order of fries. Everything was so soggy! Barely edible. I ended up throwing away the fries and half of my cheesesteak. Two stars because they delivered on time. Overall, I feel like I just wasted $ 30 of my hard-​earned money. Won’t order again — I’ll stick to tried-​and-​true Domino’s.

Solid go to delivery choice for food. Their wing dings have an amazing hot sauce and their fries are always crispy. We got a chicke. Parmigian pizza which was different but highly amazing!

I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say at all. I live close by and I eat here probably more than anywhere else. Not just Bc of convenience but Bc I love the people who run it and the food doesn’t disappoint! I’ve tried a bunch of stuff. I highly recommend the stuffed shells, any of the salads, the calzones are incredible and the chicken parm! The pizza is authentic NY pizza-​thin and just the right anoint of sauce and cheese… It’s amazing fresh– in fact I don’t like it cold or reheated which is really rate for me with Pizza… not worth them losing a star over. Also huge servings I always get 2 meals out of everything– even the salads. Oh and if you get a chance try her desserts! They are all homemade– I had one of her cupcakes one day and it was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. It wasn’t for sale she had made them for a family member and let me sample one! I feel like family here! Don’t pass this place up!

I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap which has zero flavor whatsoever and had old pieces of lettuce mixed in. The French fries were dry and horrible and the onion rings were soggy and disgusting. I definitely would not EVER order from here again. I called the store and tried to let him know how unsatisfied I was and he told me that I am just trying to pick on him and his store and just to not order from there again if I was so unhappy. I think they have horrible food and even worse customer service. If I could give zero stars, I would.

We ordered pizza from here. They arrived half an hour late and the pizza was cold, soggy and bland.

Sub-​par pizza, but the wings were good. I ordered delivery from this restaurant tonight, excited to try a new place. We ordered the primavera pizza, hot wings, and cheddar jalapeño poppers. The wings were VERY tasty: crispy and lots of meat. The poppers could’ve been better. They really didn’t have much flavor. As for the pizza, the crust was quite flimsy. It was pretty difficult to eat, as all of the toppings were falling off. Also, the paper placed underneath the pizza in the box kept sticking to the bottom of the crust. We were constantly having to pull it off… pretty gross. I’ll probably try another pizza delivery place next time.

My son and I visited Sal’s again tonight and each had a slice of cheese steak hoagie pizza, as well as a slice of crispy chicken pizza for my son and eggplant pizza for me. True Italian pizza; not the pasteboard stuff served by most places out there.
Sal’s has a good selection of gourmet pizzas, like shrimp. It’s hard to find shrimp pizza outside of a few big pizza joints in South Jersey like Bertucci’s.
Even Sal’s pizza by the slice is crisp and fresh each time I’ve bought it.
The desserts such as cheese cake are generous and reasonably priced.
Previously I had to go to Philly to find pizza this good.

Amazing place that Haddonfield has now! The pizza is unreal. I have also been searching for a really good wing place for years and I finally found it! Unreal wings here. Absolutely perfect. This place was so good I had to write a review.

I ordered a small calzone. It was excellent and big enough for two people. I’m so glad they have come to town!

We ordered from Sal’s once before. The food was excellent. I was really hoping to make this a staple in our ordering repertoire — such good Italian just a a few blocks away. Tonight, were excited to order from Sal’s. We got our order together and my son wanted to get the Chicken Parmigiana but in two separate plastic containers — chicken parm in one, pasta with butter in another. I didn’t think that would be such a big deal, most places don’t have a problem doing that. I was going to get their Eggplant Parmigiana (excellent the first time) and my wife was going to get the Chicken Marsala. So … I call and I start to order and I hear in the background that it had to come on one plate. The courteous woman handling the phone then put me on with the manager who said he couldn’t put the chicken in one container and the pasta in another container because that would be like ordering two dinners. He analogized it to ordering 6 slices of a large pizza pie and paying by the slice rather than ordering a medium pie. While I didn’t quite get the analogy I replied that it was more akin to ordering 1 slice of pizza and having it sliced down the middle. I reiterated that I didn’t want more chicken than would come with the order nor did I want more pasta … I just wanted them separate (with the pasta having butter instead of red sauce). He was rather adamant that I was trying to get one over on him — that I was trying to get two dinners for the price of one. I then said since I am asking for the same amount of food but requiring an additional container that he should charge me for the cost of the additional container. To which he again replied, «You want two plates, I’m gonna charge you for two plates.» Obviously, he has every right to do this as a business owner, but, it’s bad business — he can keep his plates … such a shame.

Tried them recently — very good, lots of flavor. I liked the Steak Roll– it’s almost enough for two. Give this place a try.

They are new in town i love the food. Very nice pizzeria with little cozy dining area. They are very friendly people. Try their gourmet pizza, it was mind blowing. Also i think they have the best wings in Haddonfield.
