Michaelangelo’s is your standard suburban jersey pizza joint/Italian restaurant. I recently stopped in to pick up my family’s takeout order. Pro-Yelp-Tip: they have a check-in offer for 10% off your takeout and dine-in order; although the two guys working the register weren’t aware of it they kindly still honored it. The food was packaged up nicely, however put kind of awkwardly in a cardboard box. It was a bit of a struggle for me to transport this dinner for four without dropping anything. I went with the eggplant parmesan sandwich and it was fine. It was neither stellar nor horrible. I’ve had better eggplant, but you do need to take into account seasonality I supposed. The roll was hardy and tasted fresh. The sauce and mozzarella were neither here nor there. Was I super impressed by my sandwich? Nope. However, this is a family go-to and is a reliable spot for an Italian meal.

We were disappointed in the food. Everything was bland or just not good. My favorite thing was the garlic bread served to the table. The pizza just wasn’t good– wasn’t our type of thing. It had a funky flavor to it that no one liked. We had two different kinds and no one cared for either. I had a tossed salad with grilled chicken and the chicken was flavorless. It basically tasted like rubber and was oddly greasy. My brother had the diavlo pasta with tomatoes and oil with linguine. It was shirt bland. Nothing special. Nothing really enjoyable Also had the wings and they were fine. My mom enjoyed them but compared to everything else it was hard not to say they were good. The service was fine. Nice waitresses who were very helpful. The restaurant is big and clean. But unfortunately we won’t be back.

You haven’t had authentic Italian food until you’ve eaten at Michaelangelos. Great service and very family oriented you will feel at home eating here!

For the past two years, I’ve been going to Michaelangelo’s consistently for takeout. I’ve ordered everything from appetizers, salads, pastas, entrees, and pizza. They use to have great pastas and their calamari was always delicious, which is a hard feat when you’re taking it home. For the past 6 months the food started going downhill. First, the pasta started tasting off, so we decided to stick with the pizza and apps. Then the apps were disappointing(multiple times we ordered mozzarella sticks that the cheese exploded out of) — nothing like paying for some empty breading sticks, and last night we experienced our worst meal yet. They apparently changed the calamari to what tasted like frozen rubbery calamari rings(and unfortunately no more tentacles were included), I found a piece plastic in one of the calamari rings, and the pizza was different(not terrible), but definitely not as good as it’s been. I think we’ll finally have to stop going there unfortunately, which is a shame because it was a convenient tasty takeout place that I used to be able to rely on for good food.

We have certain go-to places on the East Side of Cherry Hill. And Michaelangelo’s is our Italian place. Two of the three of us are vegetarians and still all of us can always find something to eat on the menu. The eggplant parm is outstanding… whether as a dinner or a sub. The hubby says chicken piccata is outstanding, and when they have flounder on the menu, the flounder francaise(not on the menu — you have to request it) is to die for. We don’t love the pizza, but the deep dish is much better than the regular thin crust. My only complaint about the place is that none of the soups are vegetarian. I don’t eat meat out, so I am always looking for things like vegetarian minestrone. They don’t offer it. Good service, good food, mediocre atmosphere. We are there at least once a week. Enjoy!

I’ve been going to Michaelangelo’s since forever. In fact, I had my kindergarten graduation party there. It was our Friday night pizza place, almost every week, since I was 6 years old. My favorite items of course are the pizzas. Perfect sauce to cheese ratio and crispy crust. The chicken piccata, chicken marsala, meatball subs, cheesesteaks, and cheese fries are also delicious. Just don’t order the salads, I ordered a chopped salad once and I got rolled up cheese and meats on lettuce. My least favorite salad topper of all time! Chopped means chopped! HI-YA!

Michaelangelo’s is fine, particularly if you like big portions and your taste isn’t too sophisticated. I have relatives in Haddonfield who love to come to this place, but frankly, these are people who tend to overeat and don’t generally go to very nice restaurants. Your meal at Michaelangelo’s starts with baskets filled with loaves of cheap Italian white bread completely saturated with a thick layer of butter and garlic. I’m not going to lie and tell you I don’t eat it, but I sure don’t feel good about it. There must be a half pound of butter soaked into each basket of bread. Remarkably, little packets of butter are served with it. Main courses are served with both soup(salty and not very flavorful) and salad(under-seasoned and overdressed romaine). Portions are very large and entrée choices are dominated by creamy, cheesy things, though you can navigate around them. In my experience, shrimp, clams and mussels(such as in the fra diavolo) have been nicely cooked, but tend to be swimming in buckets of sauce. Pasta is significantly overcooked. OK maybe I’m being too harsh on the place. You get a lot of home cooked food for the money. Just be aware of what you’re getting into and you’ll be fine.

Our main go-to pizza spot, Michaels always satisfies out pizza hunger. We’ve dined in only once so I cannot comment to thoroughly from that aspect(plus it was a long time ago and we live nearby so we’d rather eat at home) but the staff has always been kind and courteous. Pizzas are a no brainer. Great tasting and hot. The pasta dishes are also very tasty, despite being pricey. Lots of seafood pasta for those looking for some surf and pie. Despite the prices, the food has always been a big hit with us and friends we share it with. They do have some early bird specials for dinner, but we’re never around during that time. Order a pie or pasta and some wings and try to get there right when it’s ready(or preheat the oven like we do and put the whole box into it for about 15min). Enjoy.

It’s good service and nice people. My issue is the food. Seems like something I can buy from the nearest grocery store and heat it up in the oven. & the food is a little overpriced.

I have been here a countless number of times and every time I have had a great meal. The food is utterly delicious. I would recommend the Carbonara, it is creamy and the sauce is fantastic. They have the best I have ever had in my life. The only down side of this restaraunt is that the atmosphere lacks greatly. It is a great place to sit down for a quick, quality meal. The food is great, yet the atmosphere lacks. If you do not care as much about atmosphere and service, and you are mainly worried about food, then I would suggest to go to this Italian restaraunt. Enjoy!

We just got back from this incredible restaurant. it was so good. we love the owner and his staff. They are always so attentive and so well organized. The food is exceptional and the owner takes the time to go to every table to make sure every one is enjoying their meal and speaks to all his customers. We have never had a bad meal there and we go there quite often. I strongly suggest everyone try this fine place. You will truly enjoy it.

We ordered lunch takeout today for two people. Got the chicken parm and clam sauce white. I guess we had an old menu in the offfice because the bill was about $ 10.00 more than we thought it would be. $ 28.00 for two lunch specials? The meals came in side dish containers, not the full size container you would normally get with a take out entrée. Came with two anemic side salads and two giant loaves of bread. I actually liked the clams but $ 12.95 for a lunch«special» is no deal

Out of this world garlic spinach pizza! This pizzeria is away from so many other businesses. it’s a wonder that they were so busy during lunch hour. The moment you walk in the door, your senses come alive with all the delights of a pizzeria. The pizza oven is stationed up front and you can buy specialty slices. I brought the slice back to my class and raved about it.

My oh my! I’ve either eaten in, or taken out of this place 10+ times and each time, my food is AMAZING! Now granted, I’ve only tried 1 entrée but it is INDEED splendid! Shrimp & Scallops Diavolo… man I hope I’m spelling that right… is to DIE for amazing!!! This place doesn’t look like much on the outside, but it’s definately a hidden gem! Service is great and the food is always hot and fresh! Great place for a quick lunch or a quiet romantic dinner.

Gotta love seeing the Italian boot on the wall as you walk in. A warm and comforting feeling knowing this should be a good meal ahead of you. My godfather decided to treat us(myself along with 2 others) for lunch and well Unilocalers, I am not gonna pass this up… game on. Place seemed bright with a good smell coming from the kitchen. Nice selections of pizza were being displayed, my mouth was watering just thinking about the damage I am going to do. Here comes the curve ball, my godfather decided not to go the Pizza route but lets do up a full course meal with antipasti, the works basically. OK I know we will not be going back to work after wards. The waitress brought us fresh warm bread mixed with garlic bread, not bad little over kill on the garlic, but still was good. We had ordered clams casino, calamari(fried) along with 2 orders of mozzarella with red peppers. Seeing we shared everything this table was full with orders, and ready to eat. Our mains were a great sized portion, the dish was covered, smelling great mouth watering. Myself I can comment on my course which was a veal Michael Angelo which was outstanding. Jumbo shrimps and scallops covered and surround my nice piece of veal with linguini as my side. The salad that was given to me was eh, didn’t dig into that seeing what I had in front of me. In all the scallops and linguini was a little over cooked but still good, still very filling Good sized portions, food was OK, our waitress was pretty cool, patient. I def want to stop back and try some of their pizzas’ they have displayed out there.

Still looking for great pizza. This wasn’t it. Dough was too sweet and had a strange cake quality. Toppings were good and it was made well. But the dough really is the most impt part.
