We went for this recent Restaurant Week and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is perfect for a nice dinner out. Its a BYOB, but also has wine available there. I had a sea bass special and it was delicious. It was obvious that everything was really fresh. The service was also very friendly and great!

I was disappointed at my latest dining experience at Anthony’s. I had the 3 course meal. I had the special that evening. The $ 32 Bronzino with eggplant caponata. It was just ok. Not great. Not seasoned well. Just ok. I was expecting more. Then desert. I tried 2. The lava cake a bit too salty for my taste and the apple crumble with gelato. Apples were hard the crumble tasteless — the gelato was ok. The waitress Kate was very sweet and attentive.

Nice atmosphere. Started with pumpkin ravioli which was good; wife had calamari which was huge and also good. We had Cesar salads which was better than most we’ve had. For dinner I had the rack of lamb and mashed potatoes with string bean. The lamb was good with the sauce and the string bean were crisp. My wife had the short rib and pasta, a little to much tomato sauce for her but was tasty. We skipped dessert because we were full and they pulled the chocolate chunk cheesecake for a pumpkin cheesecake.

Love this place. Local restaurant with amazing service and above-par Italian food. Their menu is interesting, seasonal and uses local ingredients. They don’t have many vegetarian options on the main menu, but they are happy to adjust dishes to accommodate dietary preferences. Tonight they made us a vegan pasta dish and there was NO issues with ordering. I’m serious: they were actually happy to do it. And the food was delicious! I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again and again. Highly recommended !!!

This restaurant is «The Bomb Diggity»! I ordered from the small plate menu. I had asparagus soup followed by broccoles .They searved a small bowl of olives, artichoke hearts, & a lovely crispy loaf of bread along with the dipping oils. We were also offered a plate with(wait for it)…home made mozzarella and sliced tomatoes. I recommend this restaurant for first date night, small quaint gatherings, Marriage proposals. Or after«Painting With a Twist«. Oh what a spot! This establishment is a BYOB shop.

As the mother of the groom, I needed to find a venue in the area for the rehearsal dinner. I am not from the area and we visited a lot of places to find a place that could accommodate us and have the right atmosphere and delicious food. We found it at Anthony’s. We worked with Jill who was very helpful. I was a little concerned about the table layout but they set up the room beautifully. The ambiance was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the dinner and the service was attentive throughout the evening. It was restaurant week and they were busy but we had excellent service. Food was delicious.

Love the olive oil and crisp Italian bread to start off! The espresso is… perfecto! We made it back for restaurant week and I had Cajun tuna with Wausau drizzle. It was fresh and flavorful! Next I had the Lamb ragu with homemade gnocchi… it was excellent! That’s what I call gravy! For my entrée, I had the fall off the bone, slow roasted pork with mashed sweet potatoes and fresh string beans. How the hell does this place only have 3 stars?

Delicious food. Two of us went with a bottle of wine. We shared two apps… shrimp risotto and rabe/sausage… both were really really good. Great flavors. Then we each had a salad. I had a pear/walnut/goat cheese salad that was really yummy. We both got dessert that couldn’t be more delectable. I highly recommend Anthony’s! Go and enjoy the great food and wonderful atmosphere.

My two friends and I love this place. We always try to go for the sunset pre fix dinner or the Wednesday night five dollar per course dinner. They have a huge selection and the food is delicious. Since it is one of our favorites I really wanted to give it five stars so I just might change my mind. I don t like to give five stars anymore because people think you are a friend or relative trying to boost the rating. Not so. Just someone that loves to go out and eat. The five dollar menu is amazing. The platters are not skimpy at all. The food is fresh and well prepared. Nicely seasoned and tastes great. I find they change up the menu all the time. The veal chop is to die for since you can t get a veal chop anywhere these days. Nice and thick and done the way YOU like it. Not dry at all. When i say medium it comes out medium. The short ribs over noodles amazing. And the pork chop with bone in is prime period. The meats are top quality. I know because I buy prime and grass fed. There is a huge difference and I feel sorry for those that have not experienced grass fed or prime. People i know try to insist that the local grocery store has the same quality meat. Sorry, but the don t. The soup when it comes is not a tiny little cup but a nice size bowl. My favorite us the cold crab soup. My personal salad favorite is the caesar. There is nothing wrong with the decorations. It is in no way gaudy Italian. It is very clean and basic. I love going here and Elements across the street. My friends and I go and we actually dine and are not rushed out. We sit for three hours. The nice think is the customers are always so friendly. We end up having a conversation with someone close. Highly recommend. I go to a restaurant for the food and not the décor. I don t even notice the décor for the most part. I would prefer decent prices instead of décor. It can be a dive and I will eat there as long as food is great. And it is here. Far better than a chain like Brio. You can bring your own bottle or they have a limited selection of Jersey wines. Town is dry. Ridiculous. However, they do permit Jersey wine through some silly ordinance they passed. Haddon Heights needs to get with the times. Last but not least kudos to Colin and I think Chris is the other waiter. Both, very nice young men and polite.

Dined here during restaurant week. The overall atmosphere is nice, wait staff was attention and courteous, but the food is missing that«wow» factor. The food was not overall impressive missing indepth flavors. The food I could make at home, and I am good cook. I want to go out to eat and be «wowed» with complex flavors and awesome flavors that make me happy not to make at home because it is complex or takes too long. The overall experience from the greeting to leaving was great, but the food needs to be «bumped» up a bit.

The special appetizer was a boneless beef rib over risotto. It was fork fall apart like it should be and delicious. I had the crab bisque and it was excellent. It had hunks of crab and tasted very fresh. My main course was salmon. I was hesitant to order salmon since so few places can cook it the way I like it. I asked for it med rare and told our server I was fussy about it. She said no problem. It arrived perfectly. The layers of fish came off slice by slice. It was cooked so that it was moist and slightly pink. It was terrific. I would suggest the salmon to anyone. We’ll definitely go again.

We went during taste of the town. Although we had reservations, we had to wait for a table. It was worth the wait. Everything we had was excellent. We look forward to going back.

A friend and I decided to see if a table was available during Farm to Fork week for lunch on Friday. We only waited about fifteen minutes before being seated at a table outside. We’d been given the option of waiting for indoor seating, but thankfully the heat wave had broken and we opted for the nice breeze. Rather than navigate through what sounded like a busy dining room, the hostess asked us to go back through the door we’d entered to meet her outside. Our table had an umbrella and was plastic with a wood texture design. The central X-style leg/stand of the table was restrictive. The waiter gave us time to look over the menu and ask any questions. He was very pleasant and provided quality service. The first courses arrived nested in the center of dishes with broad edges. For my escarole soup, this was fine – not so successful for my friend’s grilled sweet Italian sausage and peppers. It was delicious. His dish included caramelized onions and roma tomatoes with olive oil & balsamic, and the dish made some knife & fork work a bit awkward. For my part, the escarole soup was not piping hot, but warm all the way through. It included tomatoes, shredded chicken, and some egg drop! It was lovely but could have used more escarole. While my friend had the roast beef sandwich, I opted to spend an extra $ 4 for the crab tomasso. It was undoubtedly worth a few extra dollars. The blush wine sauce was not overpowering, just complimented the tomatoes with a nice balance, and the chef did not skimp on the crab. While the dish did not taste heavy, I found it filling and was only able to eat about a 1⁄3 of it. Perhaps I should have avoided the fresh bread we received before ordering, but why on earth would anyone do that? The bread was warm, crisp on the outside, and soft & refreshing inside. Mm.

This was my second stop for the Farm to Fork restaurant week experience! Located in the small town of Haddon Township, I never thought that Station Avenue would hold such an authentic Italian gem. The appearance of Anthony’s has a really adorable style. It looks homey, from the way that the building is designed on the outside to fit in with the rest of the main street, but classy as well, due to the glass windows that allow pedestrians to look inside the sophisticated dining room. Even the entrance into the restaurant gave the place a very classic Italian feel. Upon walking in with my mother, the hostess was already busy with receiving calls for reservations being booked for next month! After being seated by very friendly and helpful waiters, we read over the 2-for-$ 10 lunch menu and found that it was actually very extensive. I decided to get the summer salad and Crab Tomasso, even though the main course is an additional $ 4… Still cheaper than its regular $ 27 price on a normal day anyway. The complimentary starters itself impressed me. Not only was there warm, fluffy, and crispy bread that came straight out of a rustic oven, but a dish of cooked olives, artichokes, eggplants, and peppers was also served as well, and it was so refreshing that I could have eaten about 5 and been satisfied enough for lunch. Not too long afterwards, my summer salad was served. Personally, salads aren’t usually too special, but this one really did cool down the hot summer air. Consisting of chopped peppers, asparagus, corn, and various greens, all tossed in a honey-like clear vinaigrette, this appetizer was very well-balanced and extremely refreshing to eat, especially after eating warm and crispy bread. My mother ordered the grilled marinated shrimp, and that was also very tasty with the spinach, mushrooms, garlic, and olive oil that were mixed in with it as well. Surprisingly, I preferred my salad over the shrimp. The Crab Tomasso was wonderful. Homemade angel-hair pasta tossed in a basil-tomato-and-wine-based sauce, the whole dish looked pretty big and rich, as do most pasta dishes in Italian restaurants. Yet, I didn’t feel heavy or exhausted with richness by the end of my fill. It was a very light and fresh-tasting pasta dish that maintained its large amounts of flavor from all of the elements in it, which did not overpower each other. The main ingredient of the dish, the crab, really executed its role in standing out. Not only was I given a very generous amount of this wonderful seafood, but I tasted it’s unique and rich natural taste that popped out from the pasta. The Crab Tomasso is simple yet complicated, and it is overall easily one of the most well-balanced Italian pasta dishes that I ever had. I also tasted my mother’s order of the Oven Roasted Tilapia, which was also very very well done. The surface of the fish had a nice golden-brown crust, and the filet itself was so soft that it fell apart at the touch. The fish’s flavor really showed itself throughout the dish, and the olives, mushrooms, and lemony-butter glaze really enhanced and worked with the fish so well. That was also a very successful dish which didn’t fail to impress as well. The final course, which we decided to pay extra for, is the dessert. After being given three choices, my mother and I decided to split the Sfogliatelle over the Tiramisu or the Cannoli, having never tried this Italian classic before. The crispy multi-layered pastry has a marscapone cheese filling with a thin paste of pressed dried fruit at the base. While the taste of the whole dessert had the right level of richness and crisp texture from the marscapone and the crust, the dried fruit didn’t work too well for me. It was a great concept because the taste itself worked extremely well with the cheese and pastry shell, but the texture of the dried fruit paste, was super hard, and difficult to chew, cut, or break apart in order to enjoy the whole pastry. If that part of the Sfogliatelle were softer, then the dessert would have been flawless. It was still a great ending to a wonderful dining experience. I am very happy that Anthony’s put much effort in giving diners the high-class experience that they would normally have if they were to come and have the real menu. It’s tempting to give the diners less of what is supposed to be offered at such a sophisticated restaurant, and I am grateful that this place really gave average citizens this opportunity to receive the same kind of experience as any other. I definitely made the right choice in stopping by at this restaurant for my second Farm to Fork restaurant experience, and hopefully the next place will be able to meet the standards.

My wife is from this area, so this is a go to spot for their family for special occasions(birthdays, anniversaries, etc). We went there on Saturday night for my wife’s Grandma’s 90th birthday(Wow!). Let me break it down for the out of towner. Atmosphere– The place reminds me of an old house that was converted in to a restaurant. It has a classy feel to it, but you still could rock jeans and a button down without a problem. Service– I have been here about 5 times and have never felt rushed, had any waiter order mistakes or other service related problem here. The service has always been excellent. Appetizer– Recommend calamari and anti pasta. Would like to see the appetizers a little bigger portion size though. Entrees– Their menu is rather small, but they always have special menu additions. I have had many differnet items over the years. Their seafood pasta(I forget the exact name) is very good. I now always get the 12oz NY strip. Many people ordered it in our party and thier steaks were cooked as ordered. I have had their NY strip with a few different sauces as it depends what is on special. On Saturday it was a mushroom sauce. I prefer peppercorn though. But it was still a great steak. Desert– Never tried their desert, because we usually do cake for the occasion back at the house. I did see some of the deserts go out for other tables and it looked good. Price– I have never been the bill payer here because I am always the guest coming from out of town, but I will write this area as if I was. The entrees will run you around $ 22-$ 32. All the dishes I was interested in were around the $ 28 dollar mark. The one thing I did not like is that the starter salads were an additional $ 8. I have had their salads before and $ 8 dollars is steep for what it is. If you order a $ 28 entrée, $ 8 dollar salad, etc the prices start getting up there. As other reviewers said for these kind of prices they would rather head to a place in Philly instead of sticking around in town. The bonus– it is BYOB. For large groups(6+) the BYOB will more than make up for the fact that their dishes are all a few more dollars over priced than they probably should be. Overall– If I lived in the area and wanted to go some place local for a nice night out or special occasion this would be high on my list of possibilities. The food, service, and atmosphere are excellent and you can’t go wrong with the BYOB factor.

We came here Friday night for Date night! BYOB, amazing food, intimate setting, romantic, quaint! The food itself was delicious. Immediately you’re given warm crusty bread with olives, eggplant, etc. Yum. From there, we moved on the mussels appetizer — talk about heavenly. The perfect amount of sauce. The mussels were cooked so well — not fishy or chewy at ALL. The sauce was perfectly salted, fresh, and light. For our meals, I have the roasted beet salad with honey goat cheese and fennel. Super yum. The beets were cooked just right. My husband had the shrimp(name I cannot spell here that begins with an M) — AWESOME. The pasta was al dente. The shrimp were cooked so well. Yum. Cannot wait to go back!

Lots of regulars here and obviously no Unilocalers go here. Got a dukedom with my check-in. Friendly service in a relaxed suburban environment. No glitz but pretty good Italian food. The calamari had three different sauces but was lacking taste and soggy. The mussels were much better. Great white broth and perfectly cooked. A fall salad with apples and crumbled blue cheese was well prepared. Entered were good. Chicken dish was alright with broccoli rabe. Crab cake and shrimp with risotto was good but unremarkable. Signature dish of crabmeat and pasta was fresh and well prepared. Service was good with waitress, Kate, working with chef for twenty years! Got cocolate-cello and mini canollis on the house. Nice touch and very good. Canolli had fresh crunchy shell and nice ricotta filling. Overall a good experience.
