The 2 – 5 year old section of the park looks very nice but try taking a 2 year old there! The ends of the slides are well over a foot off the ground so a toddler could easily fall off the end. Also the toddler swings are so far off the ground I had to lift my 2 year old over my head to get her in them. It was next to impossible to get her out! They need to extend the chains on the swings and build up the ground under the slides to make it more accessible for the little ones.

I love this park. It has a descent walking trail around the field. There are exercise equipment for you to work on some arms and legs. I mainly go because of the tennis courts. The tennis courts can at times be a challenge to get because many people come to play here. When you do get a court it is fun to play. People are friendly and the courts are nice. There is always cops supervising and the park closes late(10:30 pm).

Nice, clean park. The basketball courts are newly painted and well lit at night. Plenty of gazebo areas for a nice shaded lunch, or bring a blanket and you can nap under the trees. There’s a decent size field, just right for a small game of flag football, or soccer, and there’s also a baseball field. Walk towards the playground and to the left are some unique gym type contraptions, except that you use your own body weight instead of the typical metal weights. Playground is one of the more interesting types– there’s a tiny rock climbing wall, those spinning things, swings of course, slides etc. Bathroom is decent– not as bad as at the beach, but not as good as say a movie theater.

Hadn’t played on these courts in a minute but went back recently and they are actually pretty nice. Complete with 2 full courts and a homeless man shouting random things at you for 2 hours straight. They turned the lights off at 10pm when I was there. This park has come a long way in the last 15 years.

Not as big as Manzanita Park but it’s a nice space-y park all the same. The basketball courts there are almost ALWAYS being used.

If you dont have a 24 fitness membership, this place is the next best thing. They have bench press machine, lat machine, leg curl, leg press, treadmill, some hip sway thing, pull up bars and 2 basketball courts to see what you’re made of. Although it’s probably not wise to come here at 3am, there are plenty of police officers that pass by the area so you should be ok to come here during normal hours. There is a large softball baseball field but you might have to ease up on the homerun hitters because you might hit the kids on the other side of the park. There are many senior citizens walking and jogging here, so feel free to say hi and ask for some nuggets of wisdom. They frequent this place for they have some kind of social club thing going on. I saw a door open once and the seniors were getting down on the dance floor. It wasn’t harlem shake or gangnam style for that matter but some lady in a skirt was dancing like it was the disco age all over again. Back to the park, yeah, it’s not that big but it’s convenient. When you get tired, you can travel two blocks up the street and borrow a couple of movies from the local library for free so you dont have to trump up charges on your visa mastercard for all the late night charges of movies that you never even got to finish because your were too tired and hungover from the night before but you decided to borrow movies from netflix anyways because tv sucks youtube is getting old, and you’re bored out of your wits since its 2 am in the morning and you drank too much of that 99cent coffee because starbucks is already closed and you’re too lazy to get up and go to walmart but you thought about going to mcdonalds on colima since you found out that theyre open 24 hours and they have pretty good wifi, but anyways, this is a pretty nice park. :)

Almost everything you could want in a park — street fights, guns pulled on you, dog poop where you least expect, and homeless people who can ball you up. Andddd there are the things you could care less about — the basketball courts, playground, exercise equipment, running track, bbq areas, tennis courts, and large grass fields, among others…
