I called and ordered a birthday cake. I told them to make it light pink color and they said okay. On the day I pick up the cake, they gave me a purple/lavender color cake. Totally different from what I ordered. So pissed!

Open! Hard to find something open this early around here. Lots of options. 2 tables for indoor seating. Custard Bun: Good. Soft, good amount of cream, not very sweet so a nice entry to the day for a breakfast bun! Almond Cookie: Meh. I believe this is supposed to be a shortbread with almond n sugar glaze. Texture is good. Flavor is a bit off and bland — could be from being wrapped in the plastic maybe or a little old? I probably wouldn’t get this one again. Red Bean Sesame Cookie: Ok. Red bean paste is dry but the cookie/cake texture is good, buttery! The end with sesame is nice! I’d get this again.

If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. I was just in this store about to order when this loud Chinese lady came in and told the worker there her order. Instead of saying there was a customer ahead of her, the worker continued to help her instead! With my 5lb bag of potatoes from Vons, I had to walk out on principle. This was horrible and non existent service. I am all for supporting the small neighborhood bakeries and mom and pops… But as for NINI Never again!

Pros: Taro mochi bun, Taro bun, pineapple bread($ 1)! So-so: Mini red bean buns Cons: Macarons were sadly the worst I’ve ever had anywhere. Flat note flavor and texture is compressed. Will return for the mochi breads and pineapple breads though! Maybe a cake one day.

I think Nini Bakery is a good one. The breads r great. There are also loafs of bread. There are also cakes.

The bread, the«macarons»(which are misspelled at the bakery) are all mediocre.

This is one of my first reviews I have ever done on Unilocal, but I just had to comment on the terrible service at this bakery. I went here on a Saturday morning around 9:30 to try it out for breakfast with a friend. We were not greeted but instead gawked at like we shouldn’t be there or something. I quickly picked out a piece of bread and went to the counter. The cashier was a younger girl, I’m assuming the owner’s daughter because I’m sure she didn’t get hired from her great customer service skills… The cashier was very rude and short with us. She gave us dirty looks and made me feel extremely unwelcome. I will give credit where credit is due, the bread was good. I picked out a taro bun with mochi which I did enjoy but I wouldn’t endure being treated like that again to come back and purchase another. I’m not sure if this was a race issue as I am Hispanic, but it sure seems like it is based on all the positive reviews from other people on this bakery. Regardless, beware non-Asian people who come here.

Had to stop by last minute for a cake and my goodness found the perfect place! Absolutely loved the cake! Was SUPER moist, fruit was fresh and cut in big chunks and not overwhelmingly sweet. Was just perfect. By far the best hole in the wall bakery! Definitely coming back!

My best friend and I go here almost every week. The pork and veg buns are probably the best thing here, with 4 buns for 5 bucks. The chicken pie is a close second, with juicy meat and crispy pastry. And the ultimate in their dessert selection is most definitely their macaron, which are 1.50 each. It’s a calm environment inside, and they have a nice little outdoor seating arrangement for calm afternoons.

Omg! I have been looking for a nice Asian bakery for the longest and this location is right next to my job! I walked in during lunch today not looking for anything in particular and I stumbled upon hotdog filled bread with green onions! I was a little skeptical at first about trying it but I did anyway and it was great! I will def be making a trip back!

Decorative cakes for a decent price, from $ 27 and up !! I ordered the vanilla cake with mix fruits. The cake was not that good. The middle of the cake between the fruits was soggy, not enjoyable to eat at all. The cake was pretty from the outside but the worst I’ve tasted. I was really disappointed with it. Would I order cake from here again, you’d ask ??? NOPE. They even gave me $ 1 off coupons, shoot I don’t even know what the heck I’m going to do with those.

All I have to say here is this: I love the breakfast combo. It’s a bread and a drink of choice for $ 2.00(and tax). I have tried most of the breads. I used to get the pork sung/cucumber/egg sandwich, it’s good but I’m tired of it. I got the puff pastry pork sung, very very soft and flaky and delicious! The puff pastry sweet thing is good too… what is that called… it’s like a powdery buttery thing with raisins? The wheat buo luo bread is good too! I love popping in here before work – I think they know me by now, hahaha! They don’t have alot of bread for sale in the morning yet, but I can deal. I like the milk teas – I ask for extra ice and let it melt and then it doesn’t taste that sweet because holy crap it gets sweet. The jasmine green tea is too floral. The soybean milk is delicious too actually. I’m sad though, they changed the cups to be smaller cups I think, but I get it! I mean it’s only $ 2.00 so I don’t think they wanted to spend the money sealing the cups… cause that sealing thing is expensive!

My sister told me she loved their egg salad bread($ 1.50), so I decided to try it out. For about 3 weeks, that’s all I’ve been getting there! What makes it so special is that the egg salad is fresh AND they use a wheat bun. They keep it in the fridge in the back. I don’t know how, but they make their wheat buns delicious! It still tastes sweet! I can eat at least 2 in one sitting… Avoid the pickle bun. I tried it out since it was only $ 1. It was not satisfying. Their pineapple buns($ 1.10) are also made with wheat bread, and surprisingly, the wheat bun is sweet as well. Their $ 10 credit card minimum still annoys me though.

This is a review for a custom cake that my friend ordered and we went to go pick up! See pic of ultra-rad Ultraman cake: This cost $ 110 which seemed pretty reasonable since it’s in the shape of him, and the piping looks like it took forever! It’s also really delicious as it was a not-too-sweet chocolate cake with EGGPUDDING inside. You know, the same kind they put in the boba drinks! Really good! The cream wasn’t too sweet either, which was a bonus! They also have 2 for $ 3 Macarons, and other well-designed pastries and cakes that we’ll have to try next time! :)
