Subway

Our family experienced a sudden loss of my wonderful aunt on 12÷16÷14. Knowing we would have lots of family coming by and nothing ready to feed them, my mother and I decided to stop for a tray of subs. The manager, Rosa informed us usually they require 24 hrs to prepare the platter but said she would help us out and had the sandwiches ready in less than 15 mins! By the time we got home Rosa called to say my mother had left her wallet on the counter. My mother being upset and out of sorts had forgot to put it back in her purse. With all the things we had to deal with that day we were so grateful to not have to deal with a lost wallet. Rosa and her staff went above and beyond for us during a rough time — there friendly customer service and delicious sandwich were greatly appreciated that day. Thank you so much!

We were in a hurry to get a few things done last night, and we didn’t want to take time to cook or anxiously sit in a restaurant. So, we decided that Subway would fit the bill. It’s a sandwich shop (Surprise!), and unfortunately, we are not particularly fond of cold cut sandwiches. But it’s quick, and this particular shop was bright and clean, and while there was notably more than a slight issue with communication, a few smiles, gestures and pointing got the job done. Though communication was limited, the woman who tended to us was gracious enough to offer her «thank you»; an uncommon expression these days, but still very much appreciate it. So, though there was nothing we found there that would suggest that a serious chef was involved in developing Subway’s entrees, we were glad to find that Subway still does offer decent products, including heart-​healthy options and varieties of salad, too, all at very fair prices. And though we are not hot to run right back, we will return the next time when our time is rare, and we will return to this shop in particular, because its employees know how to enhance their otherwise ‘humble’ entrees with pleasant demeanors, their demonstrated willingness to accommodate their customers, and class and grace enough to deliberatly thank their customers, and we will patronize this Subway before the others, and their competitors, because it’s the case.

Alright, Subway restaurants are pretty consistent across the board. You know what to expect and you’ll get what you expect. I really do like this particular Subway more than others, as they are, to quote Jimmy Johns (ewww evil competitor!) «freaky fast». I swear. I looked down for one second and my sandwich was ready. I don’t know how that was possible but it happened. It’s very nice to be able to get in and out quickly. Their cookies are also pretty soft usually. Dangerous. Dangerously yummy.

I discovered something new here… you can order your footlong sub on a footlong flat bread. I am in love with Subway again… I was starting to get sick of the bread. I recently tried the flat bread for a breakfast sandwich and was excited to find out that I could get it for my sub too.
I recommend that you get the jalapeño jack cheese (along with your choice of meat) and toast it too… the cheese melts nicely into the flat bread. This location definately put a lot of toppings on the flatbread, which to my surprise the flat bread could hold all of the ingredients on there. (I thought that it may fall apart)
My only concern was listening to the employees talk. One worker told another worker that it was time to change out the containers. And his response was, «We don’t have to change them out. No one would know.» I almost said, «Um I am standing right here and it would probably be smart to not talk like that in front of a customer.» I do not work at Subway but apparently they must have to change out the black containers that the ingredients sit in at certain times. So hopefully the sensible worker who wanted to change out the containers won the argument!

Stopped by for a bite to eat while in the area on lunch. Food was okay (roast beef on white, mayo, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper), jalapeño chips and Fanta soda… can’t say the sandwich was amazing, but it was decent.
