I was disappointed in this place. The food looked great and it’s a beautiful restaurant. Being how expensive it was,($ 20 for a fajita, $ 15 for a burrito), I expected it to be damn good. While the meats were cooked perfectly and we’re obviously good quality, they were bland/under-seasoned. I was surprised that the ribs had such a «Korean/Asian teriyaki» BBQ taste to them. The shrimp stuffed avocado was good, as were the portions, but will likely not return because our entrees lacked exciting flavor.

Had a surprise party here and not only were they extremely accomodating– they were friendly and helpful for the whole evening. The drinks were great and the food even better. I usually hate Mexican food but this was the first time I genuinely enjoyed Mexican food– that tells you how good it is. I’ll definitely be back.

Incredibly disappointed… It has been a really long time since I’ve had such terrible service at a restaurant. We waited an hour and a half for our food… I know, I know, we never should have waited that long but at that point you’ve already wasted so much time there isn’t any point in leaving. We waited a really long time for everything… drinks, chips, salsa, water… everything took forever. Over the course of a few drinks, appetizers, and dinner, we were there over 3 hours because everything just took SO long. The food was pretty good and I’m bummed the service was so bad. It is amazing how customer service can make or break your experience, even when the food is pretty good. In this case, it was definitely pretty good food, but because of the service, I will not be returning.

It was really bad. I almost turned around when I saw the empty dinning room when I arrived to pick up my carry-out. Nothing was raw, or burnt, just all the flavors were off. They had put sugar in the salsa that was served with chips, for example.

The only thing I haven’t tried here while in Biloxi, besides Indian food, is Mexican food. The only type of comida mexicana we eat, is what I make. Straight to the food because the service was sweet. I ordered: Table guac — avocados were perfect, perfect amount of onions and spice. Stuffed avocado — the sauce is a little much and it’s kind of salty BUT I love avocado and shrimp together. The shrimp wasn’t fishy or chewy. It was cooked perfectly, tho I do think grilled(jumbo shrimps/prawns) would taste better but that’s unsolicited advice ;) Side of rice — idk what kind of rice that was or how it was made but I’ve had and made better. Rice was kind of wet and the texture was a little more chewier than I’ve had it. Beans — not specified but they’re are refried and pretty good, not overly salty or greasy My husband ordered: Carne asada — medium and it’s just a cut of steak, not sliced thick or cut in chunks, just a piece of steak. He said that it was ok but not very flavorful. Chorizo mashed potatoes — he said that was a disappointment because he wished it had more chorizo… but I wished he had ordered something else LOL… ‘Cause…forreal? My dish came with what looked like homemade corn tortillas, which came HELLA late and really greasy and not cooked all of the way. Chips were refilled often and we were checked in with frequently so the service was great. Overall, it was decent but nothing to write home about.

Everything I’ve ever had here has been outstanding! My favorite would have to be the quesadillas and the steak fajitas! Local favorite is the stuffed avocado. Best salsa ever! All dishes are fresh ingredients. Gourmet Mexican!

Go here often because our friends love it. It is a cool atmosphere. The food is ok. It could easily be better with more toppings on the food. Such as pico, sour cream, fresh guacamole, etc. the management and staff are fantastic.

OK — If your on the Coast I’m sure most of the time you want to go traditional seafood spots. Take my advise, don’t pass the spot up if you want to experience something different. First, get«Traditional American– Mexican» out of your mind. I had grilled eggplant topped with Shrimp and a cream sauce. Very tasty. They do have chips and salsa and Margaritas for the traditional fix. The menu has so many unique and tasty choices — some more healthy than«traditional» mex. The setting is a larger house with high ceilings and white table cloths. It’s next to a local popular bar, so the parking in front is limited but they do share parking in the rear with the bar. It is off the beaten trial. close to the beach.

*ocean springs location* first time eating here. I think it just opened a few weeks ago. Had inside and outside seating. Food was good. Portion sizes were big. Service was slow real slow! Our waiter was great! Really friendly and made nice recommendations for us!

Delish! I wasnt sure what to expect from a «gourmet Mexican» restaurant, and I likey!!! We had dinner at the Teagarden Location(gpt). First off, the staff are very friendly! We asked the waitress what apps to order because we couldn’t decide between two and she recommended the Canasta cheese. Its different, yet flavorful. My Lover ordered tropical margarita and it was really smooth and tasteful! For our entrees he got the Mixed Grill(steak, chicken and shrimp) w/chorizo mashed potatoes and I got the Chipotle Agave glazed ribs(from the appetizer section) and steak corn tortilla taco. Superb!!! The meats were cooked as requested and seasoned well! I gave them 4 stars because the salsa(for the chips) were ok; mediocre. I will definitely come back though! Must try other selections!

Delicious and great service! My brother and sister in law love the tacos and all of the toppings you can add. My mom gets the shrimp stuffed avocado every time she goes. And the chicken enchiladas I ordered were delicious!

Authentic Mexican food! I had the Shrimp stuffed avocado and I see why it is so popular! The service was outstanding and I will definitely go back! I want to stop by after work to try their award winning margaritas! Only a block or so from the beach! Pricey for lunch but worth it! The salsa and chips were some of the best I have had lately!

El Aguilla is by far the best Mexican Restaurant on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Truly authentic fare that does not remotely resemble tex mex or the typical green card slop one gets at sooo many other mex joints. Try the $ 3. taco. it’s worth it. It is offered in steak, chicken, or fish and choice of tortilla. Homemade corn should be your choice… Table side guac service is available… lunch or dinner… This is not a chain. Go.

Came back to give it a second shot. Near down at a very open table with plenty of room a started my «second chance» visit with a mojito(**** ½ stars) and a «juaquin margarita»(***** stars). For appetizers we had the table side guacamole(**** stars) everything was fresh and the jalapeño was cored and seeded so there was fresh flavor and taste For my entrée, I had the mole poblano(***½ stars). The mole sauce was rich and savory and smothered over the chicken breast. But that was the problem, it was chicken breast, and it seems to dry and I boneless thigh would have went much better. The plate comes with rice and beans and as every Mexican knows it’s all about the beans and they are good here. All in all this was a enjoyable dining experience, I still don’t think you should have to pay for toppings like lettuce and tomato but this was definitely a enjoyable upgrade to the prior meals.
