So good. Great service and excellent food. Had the breakfast burrito that was so good-the salsa ol that comes with it is fresh and so tasty! Highly recommended.

Excellent service/staff and wonderful food. The coffee wasn’t my all time favorite, but everything else more than made up for it! The Conecuh sausage is local to south Alabama, and was scrumptious. We were obviously not locals, and the staff made us feel like celebrities! Will definitely be back on our next vacation to Gulf Shores!

The perfect breakfast nook. Regaled in paintings and framed portraits of customers’ cats and dogs, Kitty’s Kafe is by no means the pretentious brunch place you’d see in big cities, but rather the little mom and pop hangout that even the locals wait in line for. The service is fantastic, the prices are exactly what you’d want to pay, and the variety will make everyone happy. We went two days in a row, and our group had omelettes, patty melts, chicken and dumplings, and much, much more. Do yourself a favor and get a second biscuit with those scattered hashbrowns, because both truly are amazing.

Let me start off by saying the food was excellent! The service was good, nothing to really complain about. My problem came when one of the waiters went outside to give some food to 3 dogs on the back of a pickup truck in the parking lot. Now, don’t get me wrong, I have 3 dogs, a cat and 10 chickens so I’m an animal lover myself. What grossed me out was the fact that he played with the dogs for a few minutes than came back inside and went right back to his duties! Without washing his hands! That’s just gross. Would like to have given 2 ½ stars but you can’t.

Can never find a seat, food is poor quality, and no one seems to care that you’re there. Will not be going back.

We absolutely loved this place! We went for an early lunch on Sunday and it was packed but we only waited about 15min for a table and it was totally worth the wait. I got country fried steak, mashed potatoes, biscuit and squash casserole and it was all delicious! Great value for a lot of food and drink included!

We have eaten there several times and probably won’t go back. The café is very small and you find yourself always waiting to get a table. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. The food however is just average nothing to write home about. My last visit I tried the fried Texas French toast. I was dry and hard. Most of the clients are retired people from Craft Farms who can walk there if they want. There are several other places in the area that have a lot better food. If looking for upscale breakfast try the Brick & Spoon or if your looking for rustic with a great breakfast it’ Ducks Costal Kitchen. Again if looking for an average place to eat Kitty’s fits the bill

Pretty basic breakfast fare, but Tasty and good service. This is very nice to have in a touristy area. We were lucky and got a table and I didn’t take too long to get served. But, it can get crowded and don’t expect your food to arrive right away, although I guess this could happen. Thanks.

Pros: The food was pretty good. The corned beef hash was excellent(real corned beef, not canned). The fried green tomatoes, AMAZING. My eggs were cooked just as I orderer(most places cook them over easy when I order over medium). The wait staff was friendly. Laid back environment, almost too laid back. Cons: Strange waiting area that is almost sitting with other diners. Also, the wait staff seemed confused about everything. They were nice, but when we order 2 beverages and a water for a table of 3, by the time the 3rd person mentioned what they wanted to order, she had to ask everyone again what they wanted to drink. The same was true for ordering the meal. The waitress seemed confused and we just wanted to order an appetizer before our meal. Then, when we wanted to take an order of the fried green tomatoes to-go, that was confusing for them. They happily put it in a to-go container when we asked the 2nd time, but the pattern was that we had to keep repeating ourselves throughout the meal experience. One more thing… they call it «Kitty’s Kafe» but the inside was decorated in dogs. Hmmmm. Maybe the owners name is Kitty? Strange décor & wall murals.

The breakfast was outstanding. I had the Shrimp and grits and it couldn’t havebeen better. The problem that I had was that the restaurant cramped. Other than that the outstanding.

For a shopping center location the atmosphere was very good and with tables outside just made it better. One great breakfast… Food came right out and looked good. Ham & cheddar omelette for me and biscuit gravy for my wife. Prices were spot on. Will be back to Kitty’s next time we come to the beach.

We loved this place for several reasons: 1. Homemade corn beef hash in the south?! What?! Absolutely delicious and massive serving size. I’m looking forward to my leftovers tomorrow. 2. S.O.S. Reminds me of my grandmothers 3. The homey feel. We were addressed by all of the servers in the restaurant. I love when you walk in and feel like apart of the family. 4. $ 2 strong mimosas 5. Extra biscuits on the stipulation we come back, done.

Just plain average! We came here for a quick bite to eat. We asked what was good and apparently most things were good. My wife had the chicken and dumplings with Mac and cheese and I had the beef tips on rice with sweet potato fries with Mac and cheese. We both said everything tasted like it was out of a tin or a packet and not that good. Food was very average and nothing to shout about. The server was nice enough.

Since we had such a great encounter the first time around, we decided to go back again. We went on Sunday, around 11 am, and had to wait 20 minutes, which isn’t bad considering we had 7 in our party. The staff was super friendly and our waitress was great! Seriously, the fried green tomatoes and grits are pretty darn good. I could eat those for the rest of my life there, and I would be happy and content. Seriously. If you haven’t checked them out, what are you waiting for?

There are very few choices for breakfast around Gulf Shores. This was one of them. This place has a lot of character and some solid breakfast choices. The crab cake Benedict was pretty good. The problem with this place was that it seemed to kind of outgrow its location. There were about 20 people waiting to eat breakfast on a Saturday morning at 10. And the«waiting area» was a bunch of chairs about two feet away from the tables of people eating facing the diners. This kind of made for an awkward rushed breakfast.

Loved this place for the friendly service and delicious food. I had crab cake poached egg Benedict-yum! Hubby had blackened shrimp, sweet potatoes fries, cornbread muffin, and fried grits. He ate so fast and I caught him licking his lips. Sons had meat lovers omelette and pancakes and bacon. No leftovers. Next time in town, I will be back. Go for breakfast or lunch since they close early.

After driving through the night to get to Gulf Shores, my family and I stopped for breakfast at Kitty’s Kafe. We arrived around 8:15 A.M. on a Saturday and there was no wait for a table. There were a few tables outside on the patio, but the weather was already heating up so we opted to sit inside. We were seated at a booth next to a large painted wall depicting a farm scene. We later learned that the owners are from our home state of Ohio and the paintings are representative of their family farm. The breakfast menu offers a wide variety of options. Since I don’t eat eggs my options can sometimes be limited for breakfast, but Kitty’s had plenty to offer. I went with the smothered hashbrowns with ham, mushrooms, onion, and peppers all mixed into the potato mix and then covered in cheese. This was awesome and the homemade biscuit was excellent. Our service was speedy and friendly. All of the food was great. We were off to a great start to our vacation.

Such a cozy charismatic place with friendly staff and good food. Plenty breakfast/lunch options, took me a minute to go through the menu and make up my mind. I opted for the plate with grilled shrimp and two sides — sweet potato fries and grit cakes. Everything was great. Shrimp was a tid bit on a salty side but it could be just my personal taste buds. Very cool interior with pictures and murals. Got seated quickly on what seemed to be a busy lunch time on Memorial Day. Staff were very attentive and were doing a great job in rotating tables. Also food comes out real fast! Oh and try bread pudding with whiskey sauce! PG13 :)

This is one of those places you fall in love with on the first visit and continue to discover awesome new dishes every time you return! You can watch the staff and quickly see that they operate as a whole rather than everyone for themselves which makes for a great experience! Sunday deserts rock!
