We have eaten many times at Duck’s since we moved to Gulf Shores, They have 2 locations one in Orange beach and one on Canal Road. We have eaten breakfast here many times the prices are very reasonable and the food is simply put great. The wait staff has always been friendly, helpful and they keep that coffee cup filled. So what’s good for breakfast the corn beef hash — best I ever had. On Weekends they serve a banana stuffed french toast and absolute must and as others have written more that most people can finish. The biscuits are made there fresh daily and are very good. Our friends visiting from California had Sausage & Biscuits and Gravy and did everything but lick the plate clean. If your counting calories this is not the place for you to have breakfast. I will update my review after I have lunch and dinner there. I believe the Brick & Spoon is number 1 in the area for upscale breakfast but Duck’s is number 1 for a breakfast that will stick to your ribs

They make homemade corned beef hash which was really good. The omelets looked really good too with lots of ingredients. Homemade biscuits but they were out of bacon jam which was the reason I got a biscuit. I give them a 3.5 for being out of bacon jam and Server forgot the jam and said they were heating it up but much later came back to say they were out. I think that should have been told to us prior to the order coming out.

Egh. My friend ordered the corn beef hash and loved it. I had the biscuits and gravy. It was extremely bland. The hash browns were not crispy, nor boasted any flavor. Eggs were cooked well and service was great. Not overly impressed, however, I would give them another shot in the future. P. S. if you are looking for sausage in your biscuits and gravy, they do not make it that way.

Nothing extraordinary. Waiter was very nice. Food average. Eggs were dry. Bacon and hash brown greasy and over cooked. French toast was very good. Mimosa average.

Really really good solid breakfast! There will be a wait because there is not much of other choices in the area and this place is quite small. I would definitely wait however long I needed to. Very good choices on the menu and also a great lunch selection.

We’ve eaten at Duck’s three times now(twice for breakfast — once for lunch), and we’ve always had a great experience. We’ve never had to wait on a table, and the wait staff is pretty friendly. They have weekend menu items that are definitely not available during the week. 12-31-2015 Breakfast Review: Dad: Duck’s Choice — Eggs Overeasy, Sausage Patties, Hashbrowns, Biscuits & Gravy. All excellent. Mom: BLT(with Bacon — not the optional Bologna). Bacon was plentiful and nice and crispy. Tomato was not as vine ripened as perhaps in summer, but it wasn’t too bad considering that we ate on December 31. Kids: French Toast was great and the serving size was remarkable. My 11 year old son couldn’t finish all of it — and that is something! Biggest Hits: Sausage & Biscuits and Gravy.

Bland dry, big pancakes, eggs scrambled no seasoning with cheese sprinkled on not scrambled into the eggs. Nasty pre packaged syrup. The worst coffee ever, tasted like chicory. Over priced ! Bacon small, cheep and thin. The vibe of the place was like Mayberry but Aunt Bea stopped cooking!

Wanted a quick and delicious breakfast that served bloody Mary’s or mimosas. The service was wonderful– the food was absolutely delicious– seasoned well and not greasy– biscuits were awesome. Bloody Mary was ordered spicy and sure delivered. Will be back!

We came to this place a couple of yeats ago and were wowed by the crab and swiss cheese omelete, were disappointed to find its no longer on the menu. They do have good breakfasts at a an average price with average service, though. Eggs were properly prepared. Probably the best thing was the bisquits.

Really good fast breakfast. Our waitress wasn’t a morning person hense 4 stars and it was freezing inside. We had to change tables. The biscuits are amazing! We got some Togo for breakfast the next morning.

Decent breakfast stop. Wait to get a table was about 10 min … Problem came waiting for the food, which took about 45 min to come out for a group of six. The food was good, everyone seemed to enjoy the pancakes, french toast and a breakfast sandwich. One big disappointment was with the syrup, they use Heinz pre-packaged/artificial maple, any«real» breakfast place would make their own. Overall a good experience if your looking for a place for casual breakfast food.

Meh, not great but not terrible. Biscuits looked pretty good, gravy was standard. I ordered a BLT that had 2 paper thin pieces of bacon on it. I ordered more and was charged $ 3.25. That made my BLT sandwich in the $ 8 range which is way overpriced. The service was slow, we were there at an off time ~10am during the week. The food is slightly better than Waffle House.

I know a lot of people like Ducks Diner however on our visit we were pretty disappointed. We both did breakfast and we both had to send our eggs back. Service was slow and unattentive. Our waiter did not do a very good job of keeping our coffee cups refilled. Very important in a breakfast joint. Probably will not go back given our experience.

We ate at Duck’s for breakfast. Menu was very large and food was what you would expect from a diner type restaurant. Nice selection, solid food at a solid price with great service. Nothing blew us away, but everything was on point. I would recommend Duck’s breakfast over Tacky Jack’s based on selection and service alone.
