YMCA of Greater Saint Louis

This is a good YMCA location but it is not my favorite. Their pool has been pretty cloudy each time I’ve been there. The absence of a hot tub/​spa is annoying given the size of the aquatic center. Finally, their lockers are on an elevated platform and that makes it difficult to use them if you’re less than about 6’6″.

Nice facilities, Never too crowded. Cost is much less that your normal corporate gym.

Great family place gave it four stars just because it could be bigger and better organized.

The Wildwood Family YMCA is exactly the kind of gym I like. It’s clean and spacious with big locker rooms, a large pool, basketball courts, an indoor track, and a spacious gym and weights area that is NEVER over-​crowded. I have never had to wait for a machine or give mine up after 30 minutes, and they have lots of TVs and machines with TVs on them, so your TV fix is set.
The best thing about this location is their morning cycling classes with Lynn, who is a WONDERFUL cycling instructor. Let’s face it, some cycling instructors suck. Lynn creates well-​planned cycling classes and sets them to good, upbeat music that almost makes you forget what a crazy workout you’re getting. Plus, the classes are free with membership so you can go all you want.
So if you want a really unpretentious place to work out without feeling out of place amidst the triathletes and body builders, the Wildwood YMCA is for you.

Love this YMCA! Staff is courtesy, it’s clean, and plenty of equipment. My only complaint is that I am unable to check-​in here on Unilocal!I can be inside the building and Unilocal shows me 1.7 miles from the location. Please fix it!
