Could be the best pastor taco I’ve ever had. Meat sliced off the rotisserie to order. A chunk of roasted pineapple too ! Great assortment of toppings as well. Yum. Will definitely be a regular here.

Best and most authentic Tacos/Burrito al Pastor on the coast. You can see the trompe with the sliced pork on the rotisserie in the kitchen, pineapple and all. Nice friendly service.

Great authentic food(of what I’ve tried). On my first visit I noticed they had al pastor, real proper al pastor. I had to get tacos al pastor, they’re a favorite of mine. They were excellent! Hot, fresh, flavorful, nice portion of meat with a chunk of grilled pineapple. They have a nice salsa bar, but I just put on onions & lime juice and ut was perfect. Since then I go there specifically for tacos al pastor so I haven’t tried much else. I once grabbed a chile verde burrito to go and it was very good as well. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Great little place. Try the tacos al pastor!

First impression, clean place! We came with a friend for lunch with the kids. I ordered tripa tacos, simple delicious, the salsas are good too! The girls got a bean and cheese burrito, they enjoyed it. The service was good. This is my new favorite place in AG. Definitely will come back!

Since I can’t go lower then one star, I will leave it at one. Since my granddaughter was denied entrance with her service dog. we cannot judge the food. On 10÷5÷2015 at noon, David told her that she could not come in. She was with her county worker that explained the law to him, and he again denied her. Our granddaughter put the dog in the car and went back and tried to explain the law to him. The worker, who I believe is the owner called the police. We have his card, badge number and penal code. The policeman explained to him that he was breaking the law and that he could be sued in civil court. He then invited them in. Our granddaughter was crying and embarrassed at this point and was not going to support the business with her money and left. This is not a place this is friendly to the disabled. The policeman gave her his card with the penal code, told her that she had done nothing wrong and to call him if she had further problems. The officer’s name was Angelo Limon, Sergeant at Grover Beach Police.

I was a little skeptical at first to try this place out, but all the doubt disappeared when I tried their tacos, oh my gawd the TACOS! They were definitely the best authentic tacos I’ve ever had, I ordered the Carne Asada and Carnitas and loved getting to pick what and how many toppings I could garnish them with. The Carnitas were crispy, yet juicy and the Carne Asada was tender with a nice Smokey flavor. I recommend trying the sauces in the little cups provided first, because some of the salsas had some kick! I’ll be sure to stop by again the next time I’m in town.

Wanted to like the place but the dude at the register is rude. Asked for something better to carry the condiments with just saw him give the lady in front of me more. Honestly go anywhere else.

This review is for their breakfast burritos, which were the bomb! We had just woke up after a whole day/night of riding the sand dunes and were in search of some breakfast burritos to get the day started. We stumbled across this place and since it was close to the beach entrance, we decided to check it out. $ 8 for a burrito was a little pricey, but well worth it. It was the biggest breakfast burrito I’ve ever seen, loaded with potatoes, eggs, bacon, and cheese, pico de gallo and about 8 other different salsa choices. The eggs were fluffy, potatoes hash brown style and thick slices of bacon. These burritos filled us up the entire day. We will definitely make this our go-to spot when we’re camping here, which is often.

This is by far the BEST taco place in the 5 cities! Amazing tacos, we have tried the chicken, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, tripas, and fish. They are all authentic and excellent! All of the homemade salsas are excellent too. we haven’t had anything here we didn’t like. The customer service is as good as the food. The owner is amazing. He always remembers our order, and is always friendly. We won’t go anywhere else!

The food and especially the salsas are 5 star but the price is 1 star. They raised their price is the last few months and lost my patronage. It’s a shame cause they have some of the best salsa on the central coast. I do appreciate all the food I ate from this nice establishment. Owner is a good guy too.

On an unscheduled stay in Grover Beach, without any research, I stumbled upon this place after checking into my motel in the evening and was VERY excited to see they had alambres(as I don’t often see that dish on menus). The place was a little bit dirty, but that’s fine with me if the food is OK. But it wasn’t. It was the worst alambres I’ve ever had(alambres is grilled meat, onions, green peppers, sometimes some other veggies, with cheese melted into the whole mess). It was simply awful, and the way the beans and rice were just slopped on the side, it made the whole package even worse. Moreover, I got my food to go. So when I got to my car, I realized they hadn’t given me any chips. I walked back and asked if I could have a few chips with my to-go order, as I noticed there weren’t any in the bag. No, the guy told me(I think he was the owner). Huh? Was he serious? I asked him if I would have gotten some chips if my order was for there, not to go. He said yes! But he refused to give me even a courtesy amount. Talk about bad business practice. I mean, a few chips? … that I would have gotten anyway had I eaten in? It boggles the mind. I promise you: the chip thing is not tainting my opinion of the food. If the alambres were as good as those I’ve had in Zihautanejo or in the Mission District in SF, … well … I would have been happy… But they were simply awful. As Robb M and Aaron R. have said: «Worst Mexican food in all of California.» I don’t have enough evidence to make that claim, but it was really bad. Then again, I probably wouldn’t have made the effort to write this review if he had just given me a few chips. The alambres would have still been awful, but I wouldn’t have wasted my time to write this review. The next day, in driving around Grover Beach and Pismo, I saw what appeared to be many good-looking Mexican places. Damn! And I ended up at the worst, Taqueria Guerrero. How sad.

Excellent small place slow cooked is the best. People should not complain on here Just because they have a little issue. The longer it takes to get to your plate the better the taste.

Worst mexican food in all of California and I consider myself a mexican food connoisseur. Not only is the food disgusting but the atmosphere and ownership is disastrous. They are rude, filthy(don’t wash their hands or clean well), and never can get an order right. I’ve heard of multiple occasions, including ours which was a simple 2 carnitas burritos. I would give it zero stars if I could. I will never go back and would recommend Tacos de Acapulco or any other place in the Five Cities. −10÷10.

I’ve been here(Grover location) a couple of times for a quick lunch. I can’t comment on the rest of the menu because I always get the same same thing(3 – 4 pastor tacos). The pastor meat has a great flavor and of course I just fix them how I want via the salsa bar. Not too bad for quick and under $ 6 bucks.

Very decent. Good asada tacos, nice portions, slightly crisp soft tacos. Spicy, flavorful green salsa & a very good avocado sauce. The owner was very pleasant & accommodating. Will definitely come back for more.

This place is sooo good! Totally recommend the nachos and they come fully loaded, not skimpy on anything. Free chips and salsa while you wait for your food is always a plus. Very friendly staff as well :)
