Station Grill

Eating Up Grand #1. This year, I’ll be eating my way up Grand Avenue, from Grover Beach at PCH 1 to Arroyo Grande at Hwy 101. Breakfast special — three eggs, bacon, hash browns — at Station Grill is a great way to start. The warm welcome from Karen at the cash register sets the tone at this bright, cheery place with lots of locals. The special is simple, fresh, and just the right amount of food. Nothing fancy, but good food in a friendly place. And even though almost every table is full, it’s not loud at all.

Average food. Average place. The guy at the register is rude. Wouldn’t want to spend more than ten minutes around him. He purposely rubbed his butt on my shoulder as he walked past instead of saying excuse me. He then turned around and looked at me with no apology. Won’t come back.

My wife and I were on the road with both of our dogs and stumbled upon this place as we drove on the one highway. We came in in the afternoon on Friday October 16. A male in his early forties with glasses who I assumed was the owner welcomed us. He was so kind seated us with our dogs and went above and beyond making us feel welcome.
The food was fantastic we both had burgers. He frequently checked in on us providing old school service that you don’t see nowadays. We were so impressed that we will make it a point from now on when we travel to the Central Coast to stop in and have lunch there.
Thank you for providing a fantastic memory on our vacation as we drove home.

Just stopped in for a snack… was immediately recognized by Chris, the owner who was more than accomodatimg. Awesome chicken tenders, nice atmosphere & above all… GREAT customer service. Thx for a nice first tim experience.

We had breakfast here and found the restaurant to be clean, friendly and the food quite good. Noticed when leaving they have entertainment on Friday night so what the heck we came back for dinner and had a wonderful time. Again the food was good and the service was quick and friendly. Looked like a lot of seniors and locals enjoying the evening. Nothing fancy but a fun night and we’ll be back.

Great service and great food! Had the ham and Swiss melt, clam chowder (delicious), BLT and club sandwich. All were great and large portions! Will definitely be coming back on our next trip through town.

Been wanting to try this place since I moved here a year ago. I was a little nervous because of some bad reviews. Let me say I was not disappointed. I had the breakfast special. 3 eggs, hashbrowns, 3 sausage and toast for around $ 6. Perfect price with perfect portions. Eggs were cooked to a perfect over easy. My wife had the breakfast burrito with ham in it. Piping hot and perfect size. The staff was very friendly and answered all questions I had about the menu. I like that you order at the counter so you don’t feel rushed or neglected. When you are ready to order you go and order. Food came out fast and hot. I can’t wait to try the dinners.

Great food and great people!!! Fast food is more expensive and processed food. Eat local to support the community you are visiting. I’m stoked I did.

We come to Pismo every summer and eat here on the regular. Sometimes we sit down sometimes we carry out and eat on the beach. Friendly atmosphere and the food is pretty good.

It’s been awhile since we have been and u was happy to see that nothing has changed. Great tasting food, generous portions and friendly service.

The food was just okay for me, I had breakfast French toast. It was kind plain and nothing really stood out good or bad. Just average.

I went for dinner using a Discovery Dining coupon of $ 5 off. The owner appeared unfriendly when he saw my coupon. I told him I dine out often alone, on dates, and with friends; and that I return w/​o a coupon when I like the restaurant.
The owner gave me the impression he was doing me a favor when I asked for another needed take home container. I had even given him a 20% tip on the whole amount before the discount even though it’s a self-​serve restaurant. where you have to go to the counter for everything. He saw leaving, but didn’t say «Thank you… Good bye… Come again» or anything. Diners shouldn’t give out coupons if they can’t be gracious and welcoming.

How good can breakfast be? By this, I mean that the Station Grill can’t even reach a Denny’s level quality of breakfast, but it was still edible. Maybe the standard of food in this city is just really low but holy moly this place blows. I don’t even know where to recommend someone to eat in this city because I haven’t had anything good yet. I give it 2 stars for the price of food and for the self serve coffee. That is it.

This place is a train wreck, and that’s me being nice. The combination of the «food”(which is so so terrible I don’t think my dog would even eat it) and the smell of all the homeless that frequent this place, I would strongly advise you to eat somewhere else, anywhere else!

Not terrible. Not great. The bacon was cooked well for my taste.
The service was fine, but the quality of most of their food leaves something to be desired.
The ‘sourdough’ bread is not really sourdough. You can tell that the ham in my omelet was just diced up lunch meat, and not good quality.
Not the place to come if you are conscious of what you put into your body.

Meh, just okay. Food tasted stale, microwaved? Probably wont go back again. There seems to be a regular clientele that comes in and they are all friends of the owners… who try to be nice, but not quite what I would call real. There is a sign on the wall that states there is no cussing in their establishment, which is admirable.

It was not so good. Service was plain weird. Food was marginal. Can get better food elsewhere. I know i wont be back

I have been here probably 100 times or so. I will say that EVERYTIME I have had breakfast here it has been great! Lunch is also really good. Dinner? not so great! That being said, this place is always clean, the food is always good and cooked right. The service is good, and they have plenty of parking. The price for the Station Grill Special is $ 6.09 and well worth it!
Stop in here if your around the Grover Beach area and give this place a try. Located just west of 4^th St. on Grand Ave. south side of the street. Parking is around back.

This is a cool place, the last before the state beach at Pismo and directly next to the Grover Beach Amtrak station. Its a cool little deli/​grill, I had the Turkey club and it was tasty, the fires were nice too. The ambiance is super family friendly and all in all is a cool little place to grab a quick bite by the beach.

Decent place if you don’t mind plastic plates and simple fast food. Price is decent and on mark for these types of restaurants. The coffee bar is a self serve and decent. There isn’t really anything that stands out with this place other than the kind smiles from the service. I was greeted as I walked in and asked if everything was good when I left. Their staff seem to enjoy their jobs and that is what makes this a 4 star experience.
My order for myself and my son were french toast with water and eggs n beacon with coffee. The eggs (scrabbled) were over cooked and french toast didn’t seem fresh. We did come in around 11: am on Saturday therefore just after the breakfast time… Because of the reasonable cost I only expected the basics and thats what I got. my tab was just over 16.00
If your looking for a fast food breakfast that isn’t McDonalds this is a good place. If your looking for a coffee shop or looking to get waited on then try Denny’s.
Because of the quick fast food and unlimited coffee I will come back again.
