Yosemite River Cabin

What a great little cabin. We stayed here with 6 adults, 3 infants. It was tight at times but given the location and updated interior this place is a solid choice. I really appreciated the heating (powered by gas stove), kitchen (fully stocked with cookware, dishes, glasses) and the high level of water pressure in the shower. While the back of the property borders the river, the access is not very user friendly nor a place you will want to hangout for long periods of time. This could be due to the high charge of the river due to snow melt while I was there. Our group joked that we will need to return during the summer to see if one can sit and relax in the water — and not be washed downstream!
Tips: The WiFi is bad. It’s slow and wasn’t working when we arrived. If you plan on doing any remote work or heavy use of the internet (streaming music, checking email, etc), either bring your own router or plan on super spotty internet service. Also, be sure to bring a map or print out the directions before making the drive. While relaxing at this cabin, 2 separate car loads of tourists knocked on our door asking for directions. This area doesn’t have cell reception so your plan on referencing things like the door code or directions via your cell is a bad idea.

such a perfect cabin for a stay in yosemite. it is right out of the park so its quiet and private. a little (40 min) drive into the main part of the park but who cares when you’re passing amazing views and can stop off along the way. my family and i rented it out and everything was in perfect condition when we arrived. the house has everything you need! we are very satisfied with our stay and would recommend it to all!

What a perfectly appointed, comfy, romantic lovely spot. The hosts are easy to deal with, and the location is so awesome. Although the aftermath of the horrible rim fire is not far away, close to the cabin itself luckily nothing was damaged. We had easy and jaw-​dropping drives to three different parts of the park: Hetch Hetchy, Tuolomne, and the Valley. The kitchen is perhaps better equipped than my own at home. The automatic pot belly stove flickers on the wall and keeps you cozy and warm. The décor is pleasant, and everything from pretty and cozy quilts and linens to a huge DVD library to a reading library has been thoughtfully presented. One hint: it’s a drive to any grocery store, so plan carefully to arrive with what you need and want for lovely breakfasts and dinners at home after days exploring the magnificence of Yosemite.

Everything about the cabin was excellent for our family group of two adults and two young adult children. The location is perfect, 4 miles from the entrance to Yosemite park but in a quiet location with little traffic and not too isolated. The kitchen and cabin are very well equipped and an ideal base for a Yosemite holiday. The cabin was clean and well maintained and the river at the bottom of the garden is lovely.
The availability of groceries is quite limited but no problem if, like us, you do a supermarket shop on the journey to the cabin. We found the best grocery store nearby to be the supermarket in Yosemite village.
We would definitely recommend the cabin to others.

We absolutely LOVED staying at this cabin. It was super clean & cozy, tastefully decorated and I have to say that the place is even better than the on-​line photos do it justice. The beds were comfy and the towels in the bathroom were super fluffy & soft! It comes equipped with everything you might need. We only had time to stay 3 nights. I hope I can come visit this amazing cabin in the future and stay for an entire week — I highly recommend this wonderful spot. You will not be disappointed.

The Yosemite river house was truly amazing. The house has been upgraded with very tasteful décor. Furnished with all the necessities you will need, the kitchen had all the utensils and cookware needed. The bathroom has soft luxurious towels, the bedrooms had sufficient bedding although the 2^nd bedroom has a full size bed, very cozy for a couple if you know what I mean. The living room and dining room are open and very comfortable with the automatic propane pot belly stove that stays lit according to the thermometer setting. The back Yard has several seating areas and the river is right out back and can be heard from the house. We will definitely be back!
