Me and two of my friends bought livingsocial vouchers for a two-​hour flying class and the voucher costs $ 79/​each person. Great great deal!
During the first hour we stayed in the classroom and learned about mechanics and how to read the instruments. The guys have PhDs in engineering and they loved the class! Then we took off and had to use the skills we learned just one hour ago.
I felt very confident the whole day after the class. Actually I was still dreaming in the night about flying. The instructor/​Pilot was very patient and knowledgeable. To pass the certificate it would cost about $ 8000 in this place. I think I will eventually take lessons to gain the flying certificate.
Tip: fly barefoot. I found that the airplane pedals are very sensitive, so I took of my shoes and had a much better control.
