Received a check today from a bank of the west customer. Took it in to bank of the west to cash it since it was drawn on them. Was told there would be a $ 7.50 charge for cashing the check. Is bank of the west a subsidery of rapid cash, or payday loans? I know they charge a bunch to cash checks. Woman asked if I wanted a rubber band for the money and I told her I did not think I could afford what they would probably charge for that. Be careful going in there, they will get in your pocket. We just moved up here and I had honestly thought about opening an account with them but, I can’t afford what they would charge me to use my money.

I have driven by here a million times in Gresham and never paid much attention. That is until I realized I had no tip money for the washman guys cleaning my car, who share the parking lot. I went to the ATM to pull cash thinking I had to break the $ 20 I was about to get, but wait — what is this? An ATM that gives out $ 5 bills! Holy kittens, now I wanted $ 50 just see the $ 5’s. I refrained and settled with $ 15 and expected a $ 10 and single $ 5 but got 3, 5’s. Yeah, I know, it is the little things in life.
That said the fee is $ 3, which I bank with Ally and they refund the fee, otherwise — ouch on the fee.
