I’ve been coming here for years — you pay maybe a dollar or so more on some bottles, but with that you get a better experience, better selection and a knowledgable staff. I always learn something new when i’m there and they always are offering complimentary wine/​spirit tastings — so I taste something new as well! It’s great to always see familiar faces and have someone who knows what I like and has spot on recommendations every visit — thanks guys!

I went in here recently and just found one of the men that worked there to be extremely cold & unfriendly. Not what you would expect from a small family owned business. I don’t know his name but he was old, African American & above all. Miserable! He sat at the counter giving cold dirty looks to me & the other patrons waiting in line to pay. A woman in front of me asked a question about something & he snapped at her with the snarkiest most abrasive tone. It was rude & unprofessional. It was obvious everyone was uncomfortable including myself. I will never step foot in this place again because I only spend money with places that welcome & respect their customers.

One of the nice things about Jeb and Val ‘s Putnam Wine & Liquors is their level of visibility and participation in community and business events. When you stop in, you will find Jeb or a staffer educating customers.

This business is such a disappointment. Not talking about the wine selection, but the integrity of this place. Came here looking for a beverage that my home state does not carry. Seeing no price tag, I asked the guy how much it cost. he hesitated at first then said $ 5 EACH for what is only a 6 fl oz. drink! He gave me his card and told me to email them if I ever want to buy more. Days and weeks later, I checked out other liquor stores for the same beverage and found out that the average cost was only $ 3! I was completely ripped off and that’s not cool at all. I don’t like local businesses that run like that.
