Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I love love tropical smoothie! Especially half off till 10 everyday. I would give them 5 stars for that, but because some of the staff have terrible attitudes, and very rude, I could have gave them 1. However I just like to give people benefit of the doubt of having a bad morning??? But not every time I go in. If you don’t like your job, find another. I’m sure a lot of people start their day off with tropical smoothie and would appreciate your kindness early in the morning as well.

In general, I’m a big fan of tropical smoothie. However, this particular location is not good. They’re always backed up, even during off peak hours and it doesn’t take long to figures out that it’s because of the incompetence of the staff, not because of the place’s popularity.
The kids who work here spend a lot of time chatting and goofing off instead of making the smoothies. When I came in today, they were talking about strippers, right in front of all the customers. Highly inappropriate since some of these kids looked to be about 16. During the fifteen minutes I was there waiting on my smoothie, I saw then mess up two orders. No wonder the line moves slowly when they have to remake so many orders.
I’m not saying that you can’t chat and joke a little at work but don’t do it when there is a line of customers waiting for their food! And if you’re going to be chatty, learn to multitask so you don’t screw up your orders so often. And wait until you’re in private to talk about strippers!
This is one more example of how everything in Greenville sucks, even chain businesses that are good elsewhere.

I love the island green! Staff is great, I call my order in so I don’t have wait. It’s reasonably priced, the only down side is the smoothies are not consistent. I guess it depend on who makes them.

Tropical Smoothie has good food, I understand accidents happen but somethings can’t be over looked.
I stopped to tropical smoothie and ordered a Caesar salad, chicken salad sandwich and immune blast smoothie for my family and I.
I Started to sip on my smoothie the beginning was smooth and very good, towards the middle of my smoothie it started to become gritty tasting, my initial response was to just stir it with my straw and continue sipping, so then to my surprise I slurped up a piece of thin white plastic. Then I continued to stir the smoothie and found even bigger pieces of plastic I took the smoothie put it in a dish to let it melt to pick out all pieces of plastic that were visible. Not to mention I got sick and eventually up chucked everywhere only to find more pieces of plastic, they were small but yet still plastic that I had consumed. I called and the manager was pretty nice and said they would make me another one but I rather not take my chances.

Great green smoothie! Owner was very helpful and made the smoothie to my liking. Also recommended best sandwich for my mom– Baja chicken. Yummy.

It is a lovely promise — delicious healthy food, delicious healthy smoothies. While I will admit, I do not vary much on the menu, it has been rather hit-​or-​miss. The typical smoothie I get can be delicious one day, and gritty flavored ice the next. The sandwiches, however, are more consistently good. The price you pay is that you can sometimes be waiting a fairly long time for your order, as they don’t seem to be staffed for the lunch rush.
