What a cute little spot to enjoy a cup of something hot or cold and to grab a bite to munch on! I ordered half a sandwich and a cup of soup. The chicken salad was very fresh and tasty. One of the soups of the day was a Mexican chicken soup. It had a nice little kick and was super refreshing on a chilly day. Also came with a little side of chips! Loved it! Noticed some fresh baked cakes too! I would love to try them next time! The décor is very simple and comfortable. Makes you feel very comfy to enjoy some peace and down time. There can never be enough coffee and tea shops!

Very cozy coffee shop, but a bit hard to find. From Augusta St, enter through the Mellow Mushroom doors and go downstairs to the coffee shop’s entrance. Wonderful if you need gluten-free options like we do. They know their ingredients well, so it’s good for anyone with food allergies. Sadly, I had already had enough coffee for the morning, or I would have had one of their lattes that looked great.

This little gem is worth the stop for anyone who has a problem with gluten or wheat in general. It’s a cute place on the lower lever beneath the restaurant Smoke On The Water. My wife and I were thrilled with the choices of baked goods that were gluten free. We tried their pecan pie cake and it was fabulous! Nice people, great selection, and a great place to stop and enjoy a treat.

I have to be honest, I reeeeally wanted to like this place bc it’s so close to work and I like supporting locally owned places… I’ve been here 3 – 4 times and today might be the last. The iced macchiato was weeeak(just like in my previous visits) and the flavor was off – almost salty :\ Then, I ordered a soup which for $ 4 for a small bowl, I was surprised to hear them microwaving it in the back :\ The chips served with the soup were great, though! Now, I’ve never been disappointed with their baked goods, but when it comes to coffee, I’ll be headed to SBucks. No excuses, self!

Wifi, perfect lattes, and breakfast sandwiches provided an excellent oasis for me to spend time sitting at one of their tables to get some work done. Their gluten free breads are delicious, and I was bummed that the local 2-hour parking rules sent me on my way.(I learned that they have their own lot shared with other businesses and I should have parked there!) This is a great local business, and the woman at the counter was very friendly.

We ordered a strawberry cake on Tuesday for birthday party on Saturday. My wife goes in on Saturday morning to pick it up and they haven’t baked the cake. They don’t even have a reason for not having it ready!!! All they say is sorry, we’ll give you a refund! Very pissed about this, who drops the ball like that? I guess the $ 15 gift card is their way of apologizing, I would rather have the damn cake!

I love this place! I go for their breakfast sandwiches, chai, coffee, and my absolute favorite— the cakes. Everyone is friendly, and did I mention the cakes? This hidden gem is a great local business that adds a nice, sweet touch to the neighborhood.

Ordered a Dirty Chai. It was terrible. Asked for a latté instead. They said I’d have to pay again. Nope. Would rather go to SBux. Love their Barista Promise. Also, if you don’t spend $ 5 they up charge you $.50 to cover credit card merchant fees.

I went to study and have a cup of coffee. The day I visited the restaurant it wasn’t busy and I was waited on as soon as I walked into the door. The vibe is kinda older crowd so if you are looking for a Starbucks type of environment-this is not the place. The prices are coffee house norm, so that wasn’t surprising. The coffee was ok, it was weaker than I perfer but that will not prevent me from returning. The lady that took my order was not friendly but not rude. I plan to return.

I just don’t understand this place. The people who work the counter will NOT crack a smile… no matter what. They come across as if you are bothering them. And the crazy thing is that I believe the two unfriendly women who have taken my order on numerous occasions are the OWNERS! Despicable. I have had their juices, their coffees and teas, all of which are good and well priced… but I dread having to go in and deal with the staff. They have some great looking home made cakes, and I will pony up the cash for good food(especially desserts!) and local ownership… but I’m not willing to pay $ 5.50 a slice to have someone be unfriendly to me. I truly do not understand how his place is still open. There is real potential here, but they will never benefit from the most important marketing – word of mouth – until the owners lose the crabapple attitude.

Awesome coffee shop in a nice location. They offer pretty much anything you want. Gluten free and vegan options plus they can make anything you request. I had an iced soy latte. It was really good with a bold flavor. They only negative thing I have to say is, I can tell the beans were over roasted. Otherwise a pretty good flavor. I’d love to come back and try more!

My husband and I each had a cup of coffee and shared a slice of the chocolate cake on a cold afternoon. We enjoyed sitting in the old, renovated mill building in downtown Greenville. The coffee was excellent… but the cake was beyond fabulous! It was REAL cake, not out of a mix, moist, dense and divine. The dark chocolate frosting was my downfall – how do I convince my beloved to leave all the frosting for me? We spent a delightful hour listening to the gentleman strumming on the guitar and singing. My plate was so cleaned of every crumb of the best chocolate cake I can ever remember having I toyed with the idea of trying to convince myself I needed more. We will definitely be coming back again!

Under Smoke On The Water. Not as well known(yet) so it is a nice place to have a good coffee and a quiet meeting … or a place to catch up on reading. I dropped one star because I think other have better coffee(my mocha was okay but not stellar).

My husband and I have gone to Coffee to a Tea for a weekend breakfast downtown several times. Once or twice we’ve brought some friends with us. Neither of us really deviates from our usual drink orders — I get either hot or iced coffee with room for cream, depending on the season, and he gets apple-ginger juice. They have several sweetener choices, including stevia, agave nectar, regular sugar, and raw sugar. I think there were other artificial sweeteners too, but I don’t use those so I didn’t make note of it. The coffee is always very good — their iced coffee is not too bitter at all. They make the juices right there, so it takes a while for my husband to get his juice, but it is so completely delicious it makes up for it. There is nothing like fresh-made just-juiced apple juice in the morning. We have had a few different items off the menu — normally we get a breakfast sandwich on bagels — I always get the jalapeño bagel if possible, if not I go for the sun-dried-tomato or cheese-topped bagel. I like the sandwich choices — feta, spinach, veggie sausage, turkey bacon, and other choices exist. They are delicious. I usually get a bowl of their soups-of-the-day to go with it — almost always a roasted red pepper soup. I’ve also had a black bean soup and what I think was a squash soup that were both delicious as well. Lately I’ve found myself getting their jalapeño pimiento cheese sandwich on the jalapeño bread, and Jason has gotten some of their actual sandwiches as well. I don’t like their normal house pimiento(it is homemade) — too little flavor aside from overwhelming cheesiness. But the jalapeño pimiento gets just that little spark to make something go from meh to fantastic. The only problem I’ve had, and therefore the only reason I have four stars instead of five, is the service being sometimes very slow. They are friendly, absolutely willing to make it right if they make a mistake, and remembered us after we had come in only a couple of times. It makes for some great small-town service… I grew up in a small town and it’s something I find I miss in cities, so I’m happy to see it in Greenville. However, the service can be so overwhelmingly slow that I felt I had to take a little bit off for it. Nonetheless, I recommend this place in a huge way. This is some great breakfast food(and lunch, too!), some great coffee, and some great people.

Surely Atlanta has a gluten free place this good, but I haven’t found it yet. I am in Greenville dog sitting and had to bring my mister here to try out the delicious food! Since it was a beautiful day, we decided to get it to go for a picnic in the park(and they put it in really nice boxes with everything you need to eat in the park)!! Today they had regular gluten free and onion gluten free bread. I had the onion with jalapeño pimento cheese and my mister had the onion with chicken salad. DELICIOUS beyond words. Seriously, if you didn’t know any better, you would swear the bread was the real thing! To top it off, they had just made a gluten free, three chocolate, devils food cake and it was slap your mom good. This is my go to place whenever I’m in town visiting my sister. They also have regular bread and pastries, but the gluten free is so tasty, why bother? They moved into a snazzy new location very close to Reedy park downtown(in the same building as Smoke on the Water), which is very convenient for a picnic like ours. Gluten free bread is also sold by the loaf and they make a killer gluten free carrot cake to order. Check it out, if you’re ever in Greenville or are new to the gluten free thing, you’ll be glad you did!

Located in the small and cozy old Tucker’s Soda Shop in the growing Pendleton Art District, this is a hidden gem! Coffee, teas, breakfasts, lunches and homemade cakes. The owners pride themselves on the use of all natural ingredients. Perfect for lunch with friends or a quiet spot for reading. The food and beverages are awesome. The owners also specialize in artistic cakes made in almost any flavor, shape, size or color. Support local and you will be happy you did;)
