The food was very good the special beer noodle soup was excellent. The ingredients are fresh. Their house made fish sauce was awesome.

I now know what all the Phở hype is about. It is amazing. Rich flavorful broth, fresh herbs and veg, meats(if wanted), and last but so not least the NOODLES!!! Parking is a premium here so beware at peak times. The restaurant was clean and had the best music playing. It was like the sound track to Spirited Away. It was beautiful. The waitress was polite and helpful. All drinks here are no refill except water. Just a heads up for all you sponges out there. On the table there is a basket of condiments. Hoisin sauce, Sriracha, hot sauce, soy sauce, and fish sauce to add to your meal. All awesome. There is also a small glass jar of devilish looking pepper oil that could probably take the paint off your car. Use caution here. My husband wouldn’t even try it and he likes it spicy. We got a pot of jasmine tea. I hadn’t had this before and it was floral but really good. Wishing for oolong but the jasmine was nice. Ok food: Starters-Fresh spring roll. Perfectly stuffed with herbs veg and served with a rock’ peanut sauce. Going to get this again. Fried chicken wings. Good, not too greasy but fried wings none the less. Main course-Beef Curry with white rice. This was a creamy spicy red curry with the most tender beef and bamboo shoots. Coming back tomorrow for this! Husband commented Best Ever Curry! –Roast pork and Shrimp Phở. Whoa nelly. This was off the charts. Pork was epic. Shrimp were plentiful. Broth was otherworldly good. Herbs were fresh. I wish I knew about this place sooner. I am going to bring everyone I know here and share the Phở love.

Love the beef and green beans! Absolutely delicious! I was looking forward to the phở but didn’t enjoy the flavor of the broth. Tasted really cinnamon-y which was strange. But the beef and beans made up for it!

The only phở restaurant I eat at when I’m in the Greensboro area. Fast, good and prices are reasonable. They seem to always be packed which is a good sign. Their phở is delicious, the broth is good all you have to do is adjust with either hoisin if you like sweetness or Sriracha for the spice, or both! Lol. I tried the chicken curry too which in my opinion is too creamy with the coconut milk but it was still good nonetheless. Give it a try if you’re in town.

One of the best restaurants to go to when you’re craving Vietnamese food, especially Phở! I honestly think Phở Hien Vuong is on the top of my list when it comes to phở. Their Appetizer plate is a great starter dish! It’s enough food for 2 – 3 people and it comes with a little of everything(spring roll, summer roll, chicken wings, fried tofu, shrimp roll, etc). I’ve had the Special Beef Noodle Soup about twice now and it is honestly amazing. The broth is flavorful, noodles are well cooked, and there is plenty of meat. Their Grilled Pork and Shrimp Vermicelli isn’t bad either! It comes with some spring rolls(cut into little pieces), about 3 pieces of shrimp, and plenty of pork! Very delicious and filling. Service is decent and I am always satisfied with how quickly the food comes out! Inside is pretty big, but it can get busy(especially during lunch and dinner rush)! I always leave satisfied and I can’t wait to go back! I definitely recommend this place :’)

I was in the area and I was craving phở. My family recommended Phở Hien Vuong. I walked into the restaurant and I was immediately greeted by a hostess. The restaurant is nicely decorated. My order consists of Sprite, a fresh spring roll, and PH3(special beef phở). The total was $ 15.46. The spring roll was delish! I noticed that it was just 1 spring roll, which I found strange. As soon as it came out, I realized why it was only 1 spring roll for $ 2. That thing was huge! I love my fresh spring rolls so I happily devoured it. The phở used a beef broth. It wasn’t too oily, which was really good. There was plenty of meat. The phở arrived very basic — noodles, meat, onions — and the waitress gave us all the vegetables that we wanted to put in(cilantro, bean sprouts, mint, jalapenos, lemons). Overall, I really enjoyed the food and the service.

By far one of the better phở places to eat at. I went in with quite high expectations due to Greensboro friends of mine hyping the place up as well as because of my love for phở. A group of friends and I went in during dinner time. The restaurant was quite busy, but not too busy that I had to wait for a seat or anything. The interior is nice with a casual/lively environment. I ordered the standard Beef Phở entrée and mooched off friends to get a taste for the chicken wings, fried rice, and summer rolls. The chicken wings were a good combination of sweet and spicy, but didn’t really attract my taste(others loved it, so mostly personal opinions I suppose). The summer rolls and fried rice were good as well, so I recommend that if you go to Phở Hien Vuong but not craving noodles or soup. The phở was amazing; the broth was delicious, the noodles were cooked well, and the meat tasted incredible. I wish they had put in more meat, but that’s just my aspirations as a meat lover. I haven’t really tried and other phở places in Greensboro, but I highly recommend this place for those looking for a nice sit-in experience with good food!

When you have a sore throat and you are traveling for work there are not a lot of places to go and get something warm for your throat, quickly. Thanks to Unilocal I found this treat! They have wonderful lunch specials(phở for $ 5.95!!!) and under stand that lunch sometimes needs to speedy. I was in and out in under 30 minutes and had a delicious meal that felt great on my throat. Service was very nice and speedy.

The location is entirely unassuming, but it’s probably the best Phở place in Greensboro. My second visit. I’ve gotten seafood phở on both occasions and, I must say that both meals were delicious. Like many, I evaluate phở on the quality of the broth. I find that, for the most part, the ingredients are rather typical – which means, good trimmings and such for soup. But if the broth is too salty or loaded with msg, the entire dish is ruined. This place has clean, well-prepared broth that serves as an appropriate base to add fixings, sauces, etc. I think this is especially detectable the second day. Thus far, I’ve been very pleased with the consistency. Highly recommended for phở junkies

Went here for the first time after hearing all the rave and I must say… they really didn’t disappoint. I had the shrimp vermicelli bowl(AWESOME) and a summer roll(meh). I mean, the vermicelli bowl was probably the best one I’ve ever had! I was not a big fan of the summer roll… and will not order that again. I do plan to come back… although that parking thing is definitely an issue. I called ahead and still had to deal with parking. But I’ll be back for sure!

This is a shining beacon of light in an often bleak and gray world. There is something here to please just about everyone. Friends who have moved to New York, Chicago, LA, etc still bring this place up as what they miss most about Greensboro. They all say nothing they have had in those cities even compares and I can believe it. I have tried phở at different establishments and have often been disappointed because PHV has spoiled me so. The lunch special is unbeatable at about 6 bucks– go with the Vegetarian Street Noodles or Chicken Noodle Soup if you’re unsure. The Spicy Buffalo Wings are the best wings you will have in your life — guaranteed. They are full sized wings and drumsticks, insanely juicy and plump on the inside with a crisp and flavorful skin that will have you instantly hooked. Get the Beef Noodle Soup with the beef on the side if you want to do it like the true OG’s do.

I always have takeout when I eat at Phở Hien. The food is awesome vermicelli and phở are my go to at any Vietnamese restaurant. The grilled chicken, grilled shrimp are flavorful. Grilled proteins taste like they were grilled outdoors with wooden chips over a smoker. Lunch specials during the week are worthwhile and inexpensive. They should add a lunch special on Saturdays. Glad they expanded the restaurant but with that came horrible parking. Restaurant needs to work on that. Parking– two parking spaces for pick up would be fantastic

Probably one of the worst phở I’ve ever had. The broth was super salty and lacked flavor. The round eye steak was too thick and very tough. The price certainly did not justify the quality of the food. I won’t be back here.

I have mixed emotions about this place. Let me tell you why… FOOD: The food is incredible, authentic Vietnamese cuisine with great attention to detail. I frequent this place for lunch because their lunch specials are affordable, delicious, and a great value. The portions are huge, and the average lunch price is $ 6! It’s incredibly hard to beat for the quality and value. Lunch Recommendation: Street Noodles The Phở is absolutely the place to start with their dinner entrees. They have traditional chicken, beef, and shrimp & pork. They are all incredible. The shrimp and pork is my favorite because the broth is absolutely wonderful! The Phở comes with bean sprouts, rice or egg noodles, and a large bunch of fresh herbs(Thai basil and cilantro). Appetizer Recommendation: Sampler — all of it is delicious, especially the fried tofu and fried spring rolls. The drumsticks are also crispy with a hint of an exotic spice that is so mouth watering. Dinner Recommendation: Shrimp and Pork Phở All of that being said, logistically, this place is an absolute NIGHTMARE! Let’s start with the parking lot. There are too few parking spaces and no take-out parking spaces. Forget about trying to quickly pull in, grab your order, and head out the door. The back parking lot has a street exit, but people park along the street, making it impossible to exit from the back of the parking lot. You have to do a three-point turn in a tiny, cramped parking lot with pedestrians walking back and forth from cars to the restaurant — oh and there are cars behind you! The restaurant recently took over the entire building when other companies closed down/relocated. However, they have sacrificed comfort and function for economy. Instead of a waiting area, they simply added more tables. The popularity of this restaurant means that simply getting in the door is a near impossible feat on a weekend night. Additionally, there aren’t enough registers. This evening, when picking up my to-go order, I had to park in the lot of the adjacent business, walk into a crowded entrance and shoulder my way to the register, only to have to wait for 5 people to check out before I could pick up my order. Suggestions for the owners: Fix the parking situation — somehow, anyhow. Add at least 1 dedicated to-go parking space. Create SOME sort of waiting area where folks can sit down. It’s impossible to get in and out of the front door on the weekends. Add more cash registers — please! This place could be so wonderful.

Greeted well, seated quickly and ordered food delivered in few minutes. Impressive stuff ! Ordered chicken vermicelli bowl, phở ga for mains and fresh spring roll, fried spring rolls for appetizers. Fried rolls werent the best but the phở ga hit the spot. Chicken broth for the phở ga was sweet, aromatic and heartful. Vermicelli bowl was kind of bland for me, had to add bunch of seasonings to make it spicy according to me.

Phở Hien Vuong is located in a strip mall that should be placed on the business by-pass in Baghdad, Iraq. And lord knows I am thankful; because, this place iz DABOMB and I want to keep it all to myself. I have had Phở in my day and this ranks up near the top. the first things i noticed were the mass amounts of buddahs on the counter with jolly faces, and if those fat guys like the PHO then you know we are in for a treat. I ordered the Fried Vietnamese spring rolls as an app, which came with lettuce and fresh cilantro to wrap that baby in. At first i wasn’t sure why they did this, however soon became apparent after the contrast of textures and the freshness, the lettuce and cilantro had when wrapped around the fried spring roll. They were absolutely DELICIOUS!!!(oh yeah dip it into the sweet and sour sauce they give to ya!!! ITSSSSGOOOODDDDD.) The main course was the Specialty beef PHO! and for the 1st timers, it ain’t about the beef. the beef was your traditional Asian PHO low-grade sliced beef and pink slime meatballs, may have been raccoon(hyperbole), but that doesn’t matter; because its laying in a broth that is fit for the virgin marry herself to bathe in. Once you taste the broth your taste buds will be slapped back to third grade and when you were barley be able to form sentences. NUM-NUM, MMMM, Good. Slurrrrpie Sluurrrrpieeee, Frankenstein will think your remedial. Now me personally, I always add the fish sauce, some soy, the cilantro, bean-sprouts and the Thai-basil they bring in the basket, and the HOTTTTSTUFFFF! «You know the jar», says your conscience, the jar with the red chunks in it that makes you want a to take the ALS ice bucket challenge just by looking at it!!! ADDTHATSTUFF!!! Just like the elevator music in the joint suggests, GOINGUP!!! Its the only way to experience it. I finished it all, part of the clean plate club, I will be going back. Food, 5 of 5; was the best broth I’ve tasted in a while. Ambiance 5 of 5; looked like Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris were going to bust through the wall and fight to the death in a 70’s karate film. Service 5 of 5; Confucius say«If Buddha happy, I is happy»

This is one of our very favorite places in Greensboro! I have narrowly danced around the menu and everything I have tried becomes an instant new fav! To start, their fresh shrimp rolls are tops! I always spice up the peanut butter sauce with some siracha or chili oil, it is delicious! The fresh tofu roll is great too! For the main, since the warmer weather is now upon us, I have become fixated on their tofu vermicelli bowl, always with a side of steamed veg as there never seems to be enough veggies in the noodle dishes for me. It is wonderful, simultaneously richly flavored and refreshing! I always add a bit of the previously mentioned peanut butter/chili oil sauce. Scrumptious! Splitting my orders between this and the vegetable phở with fried tofu is quite difficult cause I love them both, but this seems to have only resulted in weekly, vs. monthly lunches here! My husband leans toward the shrimp curry and Street noodles, both are very tasty! I really don’t think you can lose here!

This restaurant is a treasure for Greensboro. I have gone weekdays, weekends, daytime, nighttime, and they are ALWAYS full. M-F they offer very reasonably priced lunch specials that more than fill you up. One of my personal favorites is the Tom Yhum soup which is citrusy and fresh and the appetizer could easily suffice as a small meal. I have also had the chicken or shrimp pad thai and I will say that its not my favorite. That is my all time favorite Thai dish so I may just be being picky. I do like their street noodle plate. Its an interesting variation of the many thai noodle dishes. Overall if you’re in the mood for Phở this is definitely the GOTO for that. Highly recommend if you love Thai food.
