Jersey Mike’s Subs

I don’t always get my subs from national chains, but when I do, I prefer Jersey Mike’s, and frankly there is no comparison, imho! The bread is always fresh, with the right amount of texture, takes the sub to the best level. The ingredients are also, fresh tasting, full of flavor — nothing appears prepackaged, then assembled as needed.
The Italian Sub here is outstanding, very near the quality level achieved at the very best local shops — Mediterraneo, Giacomo’s Italian Market, Slices by Tony, and a few more. The Tuna Sub is also very nice, with a fresh tuna taste that is usually missing in subs, and most tuna salad where ever you order it — this has no bitterness, no staleness, no artificial after taste.
The Veggie Sub was not quite at the level of the other 2, but it needs no apologies either. The service was excellent — I ordered on line, was told when it would be ready, and it was when I walked in the restaurant.

Great place to eat, and a very good value. The staff is always friendly and greets most customers by name. I really love the turkey wrap which comes with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard dressing. With chips it makes a very filling and delicious lunch.

I have been here many times, and highly recommend it. Their ingredients are really fresh, and I have. found the staff to be. friendly and efficient the majority of times. They are a bit pricier than Subway a couple of blocks away… but SO worth the difference, and then some. The sandwiches are nearly twice as packed with fresh ingredients. FAR SUPERIOR TO SUBWAY!!!

Wow! The previous reviewer had a far different experience than I’ve ever had. Because this restaurant is near my office, I have visited weekly for many years. Each time, I’m welcomed warmly by the staff (often the owner).
The ingredients are all fresh and the store is quite clean. I stick with a regular number 9 on wheat bread with provolone cheese. I get it Mike’s Way, which includes lettuce, tomato, onions, salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar.
It’s my go-​to quick-​serve lunch place. Again, I’m sorry the only other reviewer had such a negative experience. It’s *definitely* not in alignment with my own.

Repeatedly the service at this location has been awful. Also, the hours are shorter than most, possibly due to the location near State street. I suggest making the drive to the other two locations to avoid this place.
