At first I didn’t get this whole cookout thing… but now that I know how and what to order, it’s the only«fast food» place I go to. The menu can be quite overwhelming for first timers, but your best deal is to order any sandwich as a «tray»… I usually get a grilled chicken sandwich because well it’s a real piece of chicken and the chargrilled flavor is phenomenal. There is usually a line at this place but I’m pretty sure it’s because your food will come right off the grill and is cooked to order. The slaw at this place is the best slaw I’ve ever had! I wish I could get a pound of just the slaw!

I’ll make this short and sweet because I’m guessing most of the people who are going to go here will be young and not want to read much. The food is cheap which is perfect for everyone of course. The drive through is kind of a challenge to get through but it is in a prime location on battleground. You can pack a burger, three chicken strips, and French fries, AND a Dr. pepper for a perfectly acceptable price of $ 5.00(tax not included). The service is good and once you roll up to this place and smell the cookin burgers and wieners you will be dying to get your hands on some food from here!

We love cookout food but the customer service here is absolutely terrible. The lady working at the window on Sunday 11÷15÷15 around 1230 was extremely rude. My husband asked for more ketchup and she practically threw it at him out the window. The name of the cashier is Raya and I don’t know if that’s who helped him at the window or not but they are really rude. And fast food workers think they should make 15 $ an hour? That’s an absolute joke.

I was not a huge fan of this place as a whole. First it is a small and cramped drive thru and very difficult to drive around. Second, the place was filthy and there were a variety of wrappers thrown on the ground as well as plastic utensils, one of which went flying at our windshield when we ran over one(we couldn’t avoid it). The customer service here was also poor. While that probably had to do with the fact that there were only two people present, there was a long wait for me and my friend to get our milkshakes when we drove up to pay. I suspect that they placed preference on the teenagers who walked up to get their food at the walk up. As for the food, i have not tried their burgers yet, but I plan on doing so later. However I got a hot dog with cheddar on it, onion rings, and a vanilla milkshake. The quality of the hot dog was pretty poor, barely edible, even with the char. Not worth the money regardless of how cheap it was. The cheese was even worse. It didn’t taste like cheddar cheese or really any type of cheese at all. The taste resembled plastic more than cheese. I was expecting it to solidify to tell you the truth. The onion rings were basically greasy batter. Not my idea of a good onion ring. However, the milkshake was pretty good, which was this places saving grace. I tried the vanilla and later, a peach. They were excellent, and I would highly recommend a stop here only for them. I would only recommend this for a late night crowd who need a quick and cheap hangover fix. Anybody else should stay away from it unless you are looking for a decent milkshake.

This particular location has really gone downhill lately. There has always been a bit of inconsistency here with both the quality of food and the service, and getting out of the tiny, winding, cramped drive thru area on to Battleground is always daunting. But that bit of inconsistency has turned into a consistently mediocre experience, with the exception of the milk shakes, which remain excellent. The speaker on the drive thru area to the right as you enter is awful — you simply can not hear what they’re saying, finally had to drive up to the serving window to place an order. The Hershey’s Chocolate milk Shake was awesome, but everything else was just terrible. The burger was burnt to a hard char on one side, resulting in a gritty, bitter taste. The hot dog chili was also over cooked, close to burnt, and the onions were left off. The fries were under cooked resulting in them being limp and tasteless. Everything about this location is a mess, other locations around time are still good, imo.

The food at this location is pretty much the same as every other location. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired lately. The last few times I have come here the person on the window has been far from interested in their job of handing bags out a window and being polite. Tonight she couldn’t even count the change back correctly and after trying to explain it a couple of times I just gave up and let her keep it. Still, better than the Summit Av location which had the wall between the order board and window crawling with half a dozen roaches the size of my hand. Tried the«fresh watermelon» shake and it was far from fresh. It was made with frozen chunks of fruit which made the shake icey and watery. Sticking with my peanut butter fudge next time, that one is the deal. At $ 4.99 for a combo with a sandwich, 2 sides and large tea, it’s really hard to beat Cookout for fast food with quality and value. I like their chicken strips with the buffalo sauce a lot. The strips are usually huge, made from white meat and the buffalo sauce is pretty spicy.

Worst place ever. I grew up in a rough area but damn this place turned from the cookout into a shootout because people were arguing about how to manage the double drive thru lanes. The food is cheap but horrible. Soggy and undercooked hamburger. I have no clue what the people who gave this high ratings are experiencing. I gave this place multiple attempts and each visit was just as bad or worst than the previous visit. Worst place and experience ever. If you go the only tip I can give you is to bypass this place or carry a gun.

Went through line and 1 customer in front of me. She placed her order and moved up to the window, which couldn’t be seen. Sat at intercom for over 5 minutes waiting for them to take my order… and nothing. Cars were now behind me waiting so I pulled forward and the previous customer had already left and when I rolled up to the window the guy said, «gotta go through the menu to order.» I told him I had been waiting for 5 minutes and he shrugged his shoulders and said, «gotta go thru the intercom to order, brother.» I backed up and the person behind me was already ordering. I pulled forward and the guy was typing in her order and wouldn’t even look at me. I left and found the CEO of Cook Out’s email address and emailed him about it. No response after a month.

I mostly come here for the shakes. My top 3 would be Oreo, chocolate, and strawberry cheesecake. The cookout tray is a good value if you want food. The chicken tenders and onion rings are good.

I came to get a Chocolate Shake from Cookout one day… I have had there burgers and fries which were delish!!! I got my 1st shake and then our 2nd. We were both shocked to find that both shakes were vanilla shakes with just a little bit of what tasted like chocolate syrup mixed in then. Highly disappointed! I pulled out and drove right down the road to Sheets Gas Satin and purchase the f’real chocolate shakes that are

I know the struggle at Cook Out at 3AM and you are trying to get everything cleaned up and ready to go home. Please don’t let that get in the way of providing a great customer experience. Seems like every time I go here either something is wrong, inconsistent, or the employees have no or choose to display no decent customer service. I have worked retail and fast food for many years and know what it takes to make an excellent customer experience. What I have been experiencing at this location is absolutely sub-par. After waiting for 12 minutes to order in the drive thru, hearing the order takers tell guests that they are out of buns got me worried. After placing my order and finally getting to the window I had my payment ready and the cashier just basically snatches my card from me not a hello or hey how are you. She sloshes me my Huge Tea with the lid not on all the way so I fix that. I get my tray and proceed to ask for some Sweet n sour sauce I got the most dirty look. Like its a crime to ask for some dipping sauce for a chicken nugget. That’s OK though everything seemed to be hot n fresh. I took a sip of the tea and noticed they decided that I wasn’t getting ANY ice. I tell you what these folks are some winners at going above and beyond. If you want food quick and with no ice or buns then Lookout for Cookout folks!

You can’t beat late night cookout. The foods is consistent and service is fast. Their shakes are the best… you can’t beat it for getting a late night snack.

Can’t miss here. Burgers are char-broiled, grilled chicken is awesome, and the BBQ is their best — kept secret. If you have never tried the milk shakes, they are a life changing experience.

Great chain of char grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, and milkshakes. Everything tastes like you just took it off your own grill, or even better. Several hamburger options including my favorite the North Carolina style with mustard, chili, and slaw. Love the hot dogs, too. The grilled chicken sandwich is another fave, order it all the way with cheese. Great onion rings and fries. Cook-out is famous for their milkshakes. Huge variety of shakes to choose from. It’s a double drive-through or walk up place. No where to eat at this location though some Cook-Outs have a picnic table or two outside.
