Greenfield Coffee is this cute little coffee shop in downtown Greenfield. They have calming jazz music in the background, at least during my visit, while customers enjoy a simple but nice ambiance. It’s good for a quick snack or that cup o’ joe in the morning; however, it was not up to par for me. I ordered a medium chai latte with almond milk, my latte of choice at any coffee establishment. It did not taste like chai latte to me in the least. The barista, Betsy, was more than willing to take my order back, and even offered to make a fresh batch with a tweak in the sugar and milk intake. Betsy was amazing. While we concluded that my taste buds are not used to their homemade chai mixture, she was more than willing to giving me a refund if the second batch was not to my liking. While it was better, it was not the way I envisioned chai latte to taste. She even took it a step further and mentioned another coffee shop with a more gingery-flavored chai latte. Nonetheless, I kept the second batch and thanked her for her services. Greenfield Coffee is cute and quaint. While I may have not fully enjoyed my latte, Betsy was a saving grace with her attempts, her willingness to accommodate to my taste buds and her friendliness. Thank you, Betsy!

Cozy, welcoming little spot downtown! Cut wooden tables and great atmosphere. Coffee was delicious and the two guys working there were so friendly and warm! Great find!

Great little place in Greenfield. No pretensions to be anything but a coffee refuge. latte was well prepared; staff was low key and quietly helpful. Complaints about parking seem off key to me; being a downtown location, there is ample parking on the side street and on the main street nearby: walking 90 seconds wasn’t a problem.

Location is the major problem with this business. Clearly the site was not selected for the customer who has other things to do. There is NOPARKING nearby and the few spots there are place you at risk for a huge ticket if you go past ten minutes. The coffee is very good.

Location is not at all a problem with this business, unlike with some reviewers: I have a tough time imagining how anyone could mistake a DOWNTOWNWALKUP coffee shop for a drive-through.(It’d be like someone low-starring the downtown cinema because they don’t hand you rental DVDs at the counter.) For those of you walking around downtown Greenfield, and who are not sent into a rage by a business daring not to cater to those who quake with terror at the prospect of being more than 15 seconds’ walk from their automobiles(honestly, Shopzillas, it isn’t as if Greenfield doesn’t have TWO Dunkin Donuts drive-throughs), this is an acceptable coffee house for the Starbucks crowd, and a local business into the bargain. They’re also quite hassle-free over the people who come in with a laptop, buy the smallest coffee they can, and put the cup in front of them for a couple of hours while they park.

Quirky, quaint, quiet…, quails? Wait that doesn’t fit. A tiny coffee shop in the heart of downtown Greenfield, that serves coffee and not flavored atrocities with whip cream, gummy bears, and Oreo crumbles. Coffee hot or iced, Espresso hot or iced, hot cocoa, chai, and tea round out the beverage menu. They stick to the originals which is very cool to see. The space is friendly and open with a lot of natural light and while I was there mostly jazz playing to reflect the vibe of the rain falling outside. The also have a small board of specials of food. I purchased a grilled cheese while very tasty seemed overpriced at 6 dollars for a mini baguette with cheese. It also came with some awesome gherkins and a pleasant stone ground mustard as well. If you are looking for a morning or afternoon pick me up you could not find a much better local place to support.

Stopped in today for the first time. Ordered a soy latte, and it was worth every penny. I was a bit apprehensive due to other reviews about the staff being unfriendly – I did not find that to be the case at all. Both the cashier and barista were pleasant, and who doesn’t love a little heart atop of their latte?

This place is the best and I often go out of my way to give them my business. Staff is always knowledgable and friendly and the coffee is top notch.(Best iced coffee [cold brewed] around.) The staff’s ability to maintain friendliness and service even through the busiest of rushes is profoundly remarkable. Looking for something special or new and they can readily suggest things or even concoct something custom on the fly. I’ve only ever seen the staff be snarky to the occasional customer that rightfully deserved it(those who came in with a feeling of entitlement or looked down their nose and treated the people behind the counter like a vending machine and not a fellow human being). Great baked goods often sell fast during the mid-morning rush. Daily soup(on rotation) is always a good bet. I only gave this place 5 stars because I couldn’t give it 6.

I really like the aesthetic of Greenfield Coffee(lots of wood, big tables, big windows), and I spent a lot of time there during college because it’s such a nice place to settle in and work for a while. The Coffee is also really good, very strong and the taste is consistent, which I like. The food, on the other hand, isn’t great; the pastries I’ve tried are dry, and don’t taste very fresh. The yogurts and smoothies etc are marked up too high, in my opinion($ 2.50 for a Chobani is kind of ridiculous around here). The customer service is also pretty terrible — I’ve also found the staff to be rude and unfriendly. One time the woman ahead of me in line changed her order a couple times, and the girl working the register actually rolled her eyes when the customer was looking away at the menu. It makes the place a ‘last resort’ stop for me(I only go there when everything else is closed).

I like the feel of this place, it’s spacious and airy and pleasant to spend time in. The wifi is top notch and you aren’t harassed to leave. I do agree with the reviewer remarking on the unfriendly baristas. Don’t know what the deal is. In every other other location the staff are nothing but pleasant.

I stopped in yesterday afternoon, attracted by the corner location and the light wood interior of the café – and also expecting that the coffee would be good. It was. I had a really good flat white. All positive. The barista, though, was not at all welcoming. I don’t expect a huge fake smile and an over the top greeting, but she never even said«hello,» or «what can I get you?» I don’t know if she was bored, tired, or annoyed, but whatever the reason was, she conveyed an unfriendly, unwelcoming demeanor. It was not crowded when I was there, so it wasn’t like there was a mad rush to serve people. I was so put off by her attitude that it detracted from the whole experience. I go to a small, local coffee shop every morning in my hometown where the baristas are always pleasant, even when they’ve got a line out the door. And I’ll gladly pay 4.00 or more for an espresso drink. When I’m in Greenfield again, I’ll see if there are other coffee spots before I’d return here.

the coffee is great. sweet, relaxed vibe. none of the stuffiness you find in the Amherst location. great light, tables, friendly staff, happy locals. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. this is my home café and i love it. a soup and hot sandwich offered daily; pastries, local whole grain toast, yogurt, and granola for breakfast. great selection of tea(hot and iced), and a small shelf with accessories for sale. they don’t do flavors or whipped cream on the coffee drinks. c’mon by!

Stopped in one morning for my caffeine fix. Ordered a large bold dark roast coffee. Coffee was strong, tasty, and delicious! The place was packed with folks hanging out enjoying their beverages.

5 stars for the espresso drinks only. That’s all I’ve ever gotten. I am really glad this place is in Greenfield, although it does close fairly early. They have the best espresso beverages in town. Their iced mocha is heavenly, although I imagine it has at least 600 calories. I got a strange vibe from the staff the first time I came here but since then the baristas have been quite pleasant. One even told me that he just wants to give me free things(whatever that means). They take their time and prepare the espresso with care. No automatic machines here, and I’ve seen them discard shots that pulled too quickly or too slowly. They have WiFi but not sure if it’s free. I’ve heard that they have a courtyard but I’ve never checked it out. Parking can be a little tough but there are parking lots nearby if you are open to walking a short distance. Love it!

Coffee was rich and tasty – a bit overpriced, but good quality. The barista service was very unfriendly. I hope he was having a bad day and doesn’t treat all customers the way he treated me.

Dropped in this morning to try them out for the first time and I have to say that I was not impressed. When I walked in I was the only person there but it took forever for me to get my coffee. When I did finally get it, it was overpriced and tiny. The coffee itself was good but I will have to make a second stop to fulfill my caffeine addiction.

It’s not bad… Been here twice and the coffee was good. HOWEVER waaaayyy overpriced in my opinion. My latte wasn’t anything special and it was SOTINY! 8oz? It was $ 4 and there was a friggin 50cent charge for soy milk. I honestly prefer Shelburne Coffee Roasters. You get more bang for the buck, more options, and better coffee.

Sorry folks but that last pass through here was A total BOMB. Not THEBOMB– A bomb. I’ve been here many times and YES– they make a killer latte(which they call something else I can’t recall right now) but on this occasion I had a 3 $, luke warm, tiny, hot chocolate. Really really small, like maybe 6 oz? My pal got the Chai. Also luke warm, 4 $. We both drank our drinks. Neither of us would ever get that again. She might not ever go back. I will, but I will never deviate from coffee again.
