Had the Turkey Swiss and Tomato Panini It was very filling and the herb bread complimented the sandwich making it a Perfect zest in my mouth. They are a little pricey but well worth it. You won’t regret you stopped here! Coffee is good too!

Hurricane’s, what happened to you? My husband & I visited for breakfast this morning and we ordered our usual, eggs Benedict for me, corned beef skillet for my husband. We hadn’t been for a while, probably over 6 months, and now I’m not sorry. My husbands skillet was covered in cheddar cheese and looked incredibly unappetizing, he said it was«okay, not bad» and my eggs Benedict were awful. The hollandaise was bland and the ham was extremely salty. And apparently you’ve changed your home fries recipe. Where did the seasoning go? This was just fried potato in a pan. I guess it wasn’t truly bad, certainly we’ve had worse, but there’s an expression … damned by faint praise… If you’ve never been before you might like it, not knowing how good it was before, but knowing how wonderful it used to be means 2 stars this time. Now excuse me, I think I need another glass of water. :(

Excellent little café with really delicious food. Although I found the sandwiches a bit pricey, my Reuben was wonderful, even on gluten-free bread. I didn’t get the specials, but was impressed by their creativity and variety. A small detail but the pickle was amazing. And the staff was friendly, helpful and dedicated. I’ll be back.

My family and I were staying on Androscoggin Lake and didn’t fee like cooking. Hurricane’s was a great place to grab a quick bite. My husband got the lobster roll and it was DELICIOUS! I got the clam chowder and it was quite good. The service was fast and everyone was really nice.

I ate here recently… such an awesome spot! I’d never have noticed it on my own — it’s a fairly nondescript building on 202 in Greene, definitely wasn’t calling my name, but I trusted the reviews on here. It’s very casual — order at one spot and wait for your name to be called when your food is ready. They had a TON of sandwich options — both hot and cold — and some delicious sides(cole slaw, potato salad, etc) and desserts(lemon squares, chocolate chip bars, brownies) as well. My food was way better than I expected — a delicious, gooey grilled cheese on hearty wheat with an amazing side of potato salad(a side comes standard with the sammies) and one of the best dill pickles I’ve ever had. Nom!

The food is affordable and it’s served in generous portions. I thought the quality was very good for the price. Customer service is great.

Outstanding food! Ate there for Saturday breakfast. We had egg sandwiches which were as good as an egg sandwich can be in every detail. The bacon was wonderful and both the croissant and gourmet English muffin were very fresh — the gourmet English muffin was very special. We had a side order of home fries for about $ 1.50 that were to perfection. The atmosphere was friendly and happy, but the aesthetics were very plain. We felt like the kitchen and wait staff REALLY cared about our happiness and we left very happy and well fed. Please splurge and pave your back parking lot…;-) I will recommend this place to everyone — it is one of the best breakfast places in the greater region. We will try lunch next time — the lunch menu looked intriguing!

By far, this is my wife and my favorite place to eat… we go at LEAST once or twice a week. the soup is to DIE for, the sandwiches are great, and the service is top notch. The entire staff makes you feel like family… they truly are special. If you’re ever in Lewiston Maine, it’s WELL worth taking the extra 15 minute drive to Greene and stopping by Hurricanes, if only for the soup. They have the best clam chowder I’ve had in my life. And you can’t go wrong with Cajun Chicken Sweet Potato, or Tomato Sweet Sausage Lentil. Honestly, if you leave Hurricane’s dissatisfied… I’d be amazed. My wife and I find that other restaurants in our city are a let down now, because we’re always comparing them to Hurricanes. This is a tiny gem, a diamond of a place that’s quickly becoming my «home away from home»

Love Hurricane’s! If great ambiance is what you’re after go for fine dining. If a delicious meal fit for any occasion and prices that are totally fair is what you’re after look no further. My favorite Lunch is the Veggie pesto panini with a bowl of Cajun Chicken and sweet potato soup… wicked good! Moved to California and miss the food dearly!

Decided to forgo limited lunch options in Lewiston and head up Route 202 to Greene to Hurricane’s. Only been there one other time. Seeing that there is only one other review, and given the«thumbs up» meal my wife and I enjoyed, I think it warrants more than three stars, at least based upon today’s experience. Had the pastrami panini. Ample sandwich, w/tasty mustard, swiss cheese and tomato on a hearty marble rye. Their sides(choice of potato salad, pasta salad, or cole slaw) are outstanding. I went with the pasta salad, which was excellent. My wife had the cole slaw, which I sampled and definitely rivals any homemade I’ve had. Her sandwich, a very ample meatball parm sub left her full and unable to entertain my offer for ice cream at another local fave back in Lewiston. Probably should have gone without the cup of seafood chowder(which was also excellent). They have an extensive sandwich menu, regular daily specials, and some terrific soups and chowders. If you work in Lewiston and can take a longer lunch, the drive out Main Street is worth it to sample some of Hurricane’s varied lunch offerings. Next time, I’m going for one of their slices of pie.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. My partner, her parents and I have had breakfast there every Sunday morning for the last five years. As mentioned by the previous reviewer, the atmosphere is nothing special, but the food is fantastic. The omelets are phenomenal, and there are many excellent lunch choices too. The soups are great — so great, in fact, that they now sell them to other restaurants, and in grocery stores. They now have evening hours, complete with a dinner special. Feed the whole family for less than $ 25. If you want quality, no-frills dining in the Lewiston-Auburn area, Hurricane’s is your place.

During my visit in Maine, a good friend of mine and I decided to drive down 202 until we found a cute little breakfast café. I hoped for more character and charm than what this place had, but it served its purpose: a delicious egg white greek omelet, grilled english muffin and a cup of coffee. The service was… service. Not fantastic, not horrible. If you happen to be in the area around breakfast time, you won’t necessarily be wowed, but you won’t be disappointed either.
